Hello,

I updated my version to 153.0. The Bookmarks left panel was there. I did a CTRL+B, this one disapeared normal But once done I wanted to have my Boorkmarl left pannel back. So I did CTRL+B no Bookmark left pannel was displayed :-(

I can't figure out which topic to use for this but I can't submit it without one.

When I click on the star icon in the address bar the star icon is filled in, and existing bookmarks do show with the filled-in star icon and they work. But I no longer get a dropdown where I can assign a folder, edit, tag, or delete an existing bookmark, and the pages I've tried to bookmark don't show up in Recently Bookmarked so they haven't been added. I don't know if it has something to do with the toolbar?

Nothing I can find online helps. The places.sqlite file in my profile is not read-only, and I refreshed Firefox (stupidly, before I took a screenshot of the pinned shortcuts on my New Tabs page) and that made no difference. The only extension I use is UBlock Origin. Changing profiles did not help. This is on my personal laptop and no organization controls my settings.

I stay up to date on Windows 11 and Firefox updates. I do use a VPN but it never interfered with bookmarking functionality before. (I see Firefox offers a free one now but I've got a couple of years left on my paid subscription).

I asked the community but got no replies. (I did "reply" to add more information which no longer applies, and I can't seem to delete the "reply".)

Not sure whats going on here, been using FF for decades with no problems. I am saving bookmarks to various folders but recently noticed some were not in the folders I was sure I had saved them too. For example, in the screenshot attached I had saved the Rink Diary Bookings to my Bowls folder, but when I opened the folder later the bookmark was not shown. I did the Google search and checked what I could and most solution options were aimed at the Toolbar, which I didn't have a problem with. I then noticed some other bookmarks were no longer showing. I then saved a new Rink Diary Bookings link (now ending in '1') to a second folder so I knew which link was from each folder. This new bookmark also failed to show in the new folder. I somehow found a search button for the bookmarks and found both the bookmarks in the correct folders. (See attached) Can anyone advise how to get the bookmarks to show in, and open from, the actual folders? I am not very tech minded so any help is appreciated. Hello, I just tried to import bookmarks to Firefox, however they're not appearing on the title bar?

I imported bookmarks to desktop Firefox 134.0.1 (aarch64) on raspberrypios - 1.0, but the title bar only shows Import Bookmarks... and the imported bookmarks are located in Library -> All Bookmarks -> Bookmarks Toolbar/Bookmarks Menu -> Mozilla Firefox -> Imported Bookmark.

All of a sudden I can no longer add bookmarks to my Firefox desktop. At this point I can not even access the "Bookmark current tab." Are there settings that control the Bookmarks section. Thank you

I'm running Firefox 153.1 64-bit on Windows 11 Pro 25H2. I have a LOT of bookmarks. Possibly over 3,000. Somehow over time I've managed to create a LOT of bookmarks in the Other Bookmarks folder unintentionally. I need to move and merge those to the correct Bookmarks Menu and ideally eliminate any dupes. Everywhere I look for a process to accomplish this I seem to get a lot of "can't be done". Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks for any help.

Hi I use several different Linux distros in all my machines. I am trying to merge my bookmarks for each OS in a computer into a file which I then will restore to all OSes.

I am hoping to edit that file myself, as I may at a later stage try to merge all bookmarks from all OSes in all machines.

So I am thinking of looking into key3.db files and see if I can come up with something, but I can't find the file in Artix. I have not tried other OSes yet.

It has happened now for quite a long while and quite some times that the bookmarks, with the exception of the "Import Bookmarks", disappear from Bookmarks Toolbar.

There was a time when I succeeded in solving the problem by removing the <places.sqlite> file, but or the last 2 instances it did not work.

In the first of these two later instances I resorted finally to reinstalling Firefox after the deletion of <places.sqlite>, <places.sqlite-wal> and <places.sqlite_shm> - I am not sure about the spelling of this last two - without success.

Today, running 144.0 64-bit for artlinux 1.0, that did not work.

I did <pacman -R firefox>, in order to remove it and then <pacman -Su firefox>, to install it but that did not work and to my surprise, my bookmarks appeared on the Library so I removed and installed one more time, making sure to delete the <.mozilla> before installing again.

I just reporting in case it may be helpful to someone.

I set the bookmarks toolbar to show in new tabs only. If I then press Ctrl-Shift-B in any tab I lose the functionality of having the toolbar show exclusively in new tabs. It either shows in all tabs or in none, depending on the number of times I press Ctrl-Shift-B.

On two occasions all of the favicons for my Bookmarks have disappeared. The only way I have been able to restore them is to open each bookmark using "Open All in Tabs" for each Bookmark folder. As I have many hundreds of Bookmarks, this is an extremely time consuming process. I have done this twice. I have just encountered a third instance of this problem and would like to avoid doing it again if there is any other way to restore the favicons.

I had saved the favicons.sqlite files from the Profile, but I am unaware of any way to restore the favicons directly from this file. The favicons.sqlite file appears to be of the proper size, i.e. ~17KB. On the last occasion, following a suggested solution, I rebuilt the iconcache hoping it would also rebuild the favicons, but that was not the case. As a result, I used the above process.

Any solutions to restore the Bookmark favicons without opening all with "Open All in Tabs" would be greatly apprecuated. I don't know what has caused the favicons to disappear. I am running Firefox 129.0.2 on a Windows 11 Pro PC.

Hi! Have several bookmarks that in the list are called "patient portal." I would like to change them so they have the doctors name to make it easier to find the one I need. I am running on Windows 11, with Version 150.0.3 (64-bit).

I have tried right clicking on the bookmark and there is no option to change the name. I looked under "organize" and again, no options.

Please, is it possible to do what I need?
