I.m an 81 year old man , and It is very difficult for me to use the computer, and now you make it more difficult for me with this new addition of Thunderbird that makes it more complicated for me,My question is: can I continue using Firefox with out Thunderbird ( that I don't like it ) ?

I am looking to be able to INDEPENDENTLY close Firefox (Standard) windows separate from those running in a Private session.

ATM, it does not seem possible to close just one type of Firefox session without the other.

I see this possibly as a simple about:config switch which would allow one to close ALL Standard or Private windows with the respective system tray icon's "Close (All) Windows" OR the Menu's Exit selection. No other behaviors need change.

USE CASE: I frequently use both types of windows and will sometimes close Firefox Standard and unintentionally loose tabs I have not saved in Private.

Hello, I am experiencing an annoying layout issue with the New Tab page in Firefox. The spacing between my Top Sites icons is way too large, making the grid look unnaturally stretched out and leaving too much empty space on the screen.Here is the weird behavior I noticed:When I run Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode (Safe Mode), the layout looks perfectly fine, tight, and compact — exactly how it used to be.If I use the "Refresh Firefox" feature, the compact layout returns to normal in the regular mode, but only temporarily.As soon as I launch Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode again and then switch back to the normal profile, the layout breaks once more, and the huge gaps between the shortcuts reappear. Is this a known issue with HEVC Media Source Extensions support on Windows 11 build 26200, or is there another requirement for Firefox to expose HEVC playback capability through MediaSource and MediaCapabilities when the Windows HEVC codec is installed and functioning in Chromium-based browsers?

now using 153.0.1 from old 140.13.0 but i do not see a home page icon so i can go back to the home page after visiting a web site such as facebook, etc. in settings i have Firefox set as default, but still do not see the little house icon for going to home page. How do I get the home page icon to appear somewhere with 153.0.1

I read the article about having 50 GB of free VPN use after I updated Firefox today to version 149.0; however, I don't see anywhere where I can enable the VPN. I've checked in the "Customize Toolbar" section, and I still couldn't find anything. I don't understand, the article made it sound like I should have access, but I've also read that it's not out for everyone yet?

After recent Firefox update in v 154, saved passwords do not auto-fill in all websites. Actually, not even the username is loaded. I tried to open in troubleshoot mode and didn't work too. I tried to log out and re-login and fixed for a while only. Then same issue re-occurred. In websites where I have multiple accounts it's too hard to find the proper one. In the Settings > Passwords everything is enabled.

How do I turn off the "split view" option... or move it somewhere else?

I get you are trying to add features... but this is one I dont need or want... and its in the place of a feature I ACTUALLY use "open link in new tab".

Very frustrating to try to open a new link only to loose HALF the screen I am currently using and NO WAY to move said tab off.

Unbelievably weird placement of this "feature".

I had multiple tab groups which I had chosen to save and close. These tab groups have now completely disappeared and I cannot find them. When I began using Tab Groups, I had checked and there was no information stating that unopened tab groups would be deleted. I want these groups back. If I had known Tab Groups would disappear, I would have saved my tabs into a folder. The only Tab Groups that show up now are under "Recent tab groups". If tab groups are going to be deleted after a set period of time, it should be stated clearly in the tab group settings. It would also be really useful to archive them into a bookmarked folder so people don't unexpectedly lose hours of research.

How do I make firefox my default browser when using search bar on task bar for windows 11. Although all my settings have the default browser as firefox microsoft, edge is what comes up when I use the taskbar search window.

I have cleared all logins and ALL browser cache and cookies, checked for updated version (running 155.0.1 for Mac OS) and restarted the browser. But still get a BAD REQUEST error when trying to access someone's Calendly page. I can load the main website of Calendly, but it will not load specific person's calendar.

I tested this in Chrome and in Safari and there are no issues loading someone's Calendly page. Here is an example account. https://calendly.com/rickcoughlin
