I recently got a new PC, and every time I open up Firefox it instantly closes. I have tried downloading it on the Microsoft Store, it seems to work fine for 5 minutes and then it happens again.
There used to be an extension called "IE Tab". It allowed you to right click on the link, and open the site in a tab, using Internet Explorer, for sites that didn't work … (read more)
There used to be an extension called "IE Tab". It allowed you to right click on the link, and open the site in a tab, using Internet Explorer, for sites that didn't work properly in Firefox. I was wondering if anybody knows of any similar extension that would do the same for Edge? I can't open Twitter (X) using Firefox anymore, but I can open it using Edge. I don't like Edge (obviously), but I have no choice. Thanks in advance!!!

Some of the scripts are not loading or working properly, like clicking boxes and notifications on some sites. Most recently this happened on the New Statesman website, I doubt they haven't optimized their site for Firefox. Previously I encountered this on Gerogetown University's Management System platform, which according to IT should be fine with Firefox. I removed all the extensions, cleared the cache and cookies, tried troubleshooting mode, even reinstalled Firefox to no avail. I accept all cookies. Settings are default. The issue is specific to Firefox, Edge works fine. Please help, I don't want to migrate back to Edge.

Can you please tell me how to get my extensions to appear on the toolbar? As you can see from the image (titled "forFirefox03"), only one is shown.
The images (titled "forFirefox01" and "forFirefox02") show all the extensions that I would like to have on the toolbar.
I've included the "About Firefox" (titled "forFirefox04") to show you which browser version I have.
I don't know if I need to show you the title names, but I'm used to Microsoft Answers, where I can put the images between the text, and here, I can't, so I'm assuming I have to show you them as names and images.

As of today, I am unable to scroll with my mouse in google sheets. The scroll bar on the right disappears and I'm taken to the bottom of the spreadsheet and can't scroll back up. I have to use CTRL+Home and then the arrow keys to go down the rows. This appears to be only on Firefox. I tried a different browser and it worked fine.

I noticed, however, after the last update or two in the last week that when I hit search, it opens the search results in a new tab. It didn't use to do this, but I can't find any Firefox option to make the searches stay in the existing tab. Can anyone help with this? I don't think it's Yahoo's settings, because I'm not signed into it. It seems like the Firefox update created this new behavior.

Steps I have taken is clearing data, history and cache on pc, turning off mcafee firewall. I use my pc through a wired Internet connection and my phone through Wi-Fi and data and it's the same on both I can't access the website. Like I mentioned I can access it no problems through Microsoft Edge on my pc and Samsung Internet app on my phone so I have now pinpointed it to Mozilla Firefox being the issue, also this is the only website I have issues with. I've recently switched back to Firefox from Edge and have run into a frustrating issue.
When I try to print documents from Firefox, the "Color Mode" in the print settings is grayed out so I can't select B&W.
This same problem exists both on my MacOS laptop + my Windows 11 desktop. Additionally, they are connected to different printers on different networks. It also occurs whether I'm trying to print a PDF or anything else in Firefox.
Based on this, it appears Firefox is the culprit here.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Firefox always uses excessive GPU memory when I watch video and livestream. about:memory shows that the explict GPU memory allocation is only about 200 MB but in the task manager the GPU memory usage is 1GB, and the latter doesn't decrease even if I close the tab. Hey, so, I've seen this question a couple times when I searched, but (a) there didn't seem to be any solution and (b) they were all regarding Macs and I'm on Windows 11 v 23H2. I keep getting bubbles saying that Firefox wasn't able to check for updates- not that it couldn't download or install updates, but it couldn't search for one. I also did the "about Firefox" thing and it gives me the same message. Both of these have been going on for a couple days and I have attempted restarting Firefox multiple times and did a manual update [125.0.1 (64-bit)] just in case there was a problem there. Now, I've tried the tips from the other threads (turning off the proxy, checking any anti-update policies, and checking the add.update.url in the config settings) with no luck. So in an effort to either bump the question or get any Windows oriented answers... Thanks muchly

What does help for awhile is to delete the file places.sqlite. After that FF runs for a few hours until the problem happens again. Is there a setting or other fix for this issue?

I have noticed a bug with how the Firefox icon appears when launched in the Windows 11 taskbar when the never group option is enabled. When Firefox is launched and is the only application open in the taskbar, there is no label present next to the icon like other programs have when launched. There is the little line underneath the icon though indicating it is launched but that is it. As soon as I open another application though, the label will also appear for Firefox. This is only a minor annoyance but is definitely as bug at least for me and should be pretty easy to fix. I will attach screenshots of the behavior. In the first screenshot, you can see that Firefox is open but has no Text label like it is supposed to. The second screenshot is as soon as I open a second application.

Firefox just turns into a black screen and becomes unusable. It has been happening for a long time now and i have checked RAM and CPU usage and they are all fine, as I explored potential causes.
I will be using firefox and it just turns all black on all screens and is completely unusable. To use it again I have to force close all windows and reopen it and it works again.

Reloading the tab will no longer work. I have to delete the tab and then use History to reload it. There is no problem as long as I keep the Windows cursor out of the stock chart area.

I have a very good PC (5800X3D, 7900XT, 32GB DDR4 3600), but Firefox (either the normal, canary and nightly version) can't play smoothly any 4K video (like the Borderlands trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lU_NKNZljoQ ). 1440 and lower resolutions are fine, as are 4K videos on Chrome and Edge. FWIW, my CPU during 4K playback is barely used (1-2%), and my GPU's video codec (VCE) is used by around a third. Disabling HW accel makes things better, as it still stutters but it's (barely) passable. I already tried creating a new profile, but still it's the same.
