There are no more borders around the tabs except the active one. It is hard to click click fast to change to another tab - special with pinned tabs with some icons blured with the theme I love. Also the theme-icons got deactivated and there is now the lower bar empty without the tabs. They went up into a new bar higher added. How can I fix that with boardred tabs located downwards and the intuitiv easier clickable icons back?

I just updated to 90.

Suddenly all my tabs no longer show the delete cross. There is a 1 pixel spot that's hard to see.

When I troubleshoot and restart with addons, themes, etc. turned off, they are back. When I try to test each addon, I get no results. All I can think of is the themes are screwing up. I've tried different themes with no results. Can I turn themes off to test this issue?

Any other ideas?

Recently there was a change in the way bookmarks are displayed. If I go into Manage Bookmarks they are sorted in the order I want them to be shown, but the bookmarks offered to me appear to be random, or possibly most recently used. That is totally useless when I want to find a particular bookmark.

How do I get Firefox to display bookmarks in the order I have them in the Manage Bookmarks tab? Alternately is there a way I can get the manage bookmarks window to show up as a column on the left or right of my desktop? That would allow me to easily find a bookmark, and also to add a bookmark in the correct location to assist me in finding it later.

I lost that session of around 2000 tabs back in May 1, and I backed it all up onto a folder. When I followed all the existing steps (closing Firefox and replacing the current stuff with the backups), it only took me to a blank "about:restore" tab and popped up an about:support tab.

When I tried loading it into the scrounger (https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html), it crashed the tab no matter how many times I try. I decompressed it and it loaded the uncompressed JSON without a problem, but it won't let me click "save embedded session (first found only)"

Firefox over the past couple years has proven inconsistent. For days or weeks it will display the open tabs I intentionally left open, then without warning, without asking me, without my permission it closes them and provides no means of restoring them. As a result, I have discontinued all use of Firefox because the problem has been known for years yet continues.

So, if I want to open a tab that exists in my current open Firefox to a new window, or a new private window(Good for accessing an alt account without logging out a main account), I have to right-click the taskbar icon for it, or the desktop icon, firefox's settings menu, or a keypress; navigate to the page, and log in.

It would be super convenient to send a tab to a new window or private window from right-clicking the desired tab, and selecting an option. Currently, (90.0..1), there is just a send to container option, which doesn't exactly accomplish what I am looking for.

This is purely QoL, but it would speed things up quite a bit.

Hello.

Cycling through unpinned tabs is easy, Ctrl+Tab does the job.... But what about pinned tabs?

People are more likely to have more pinned tabs open and saved to their browser than unpinned tabs, like myself, as surely, that is the point of pinned tabs.

So I cannot for the life of me understand why I can't find a keyboard shortcut to cycle through these!! Is it really possible for developers to overlook this simple but extremely useful and effective shortcut?!

Can anyone help?

Mike.

Hi, whenever I start Firefox up, one of the tabs randomly closes. This happens both with tabs from last session as well as newly opened bookmarks. Both on Windows 10 and Linux (MX Linux, Debian 9). Only one tab has to be "sacrificed" apparently, so I usually open the last bookmark twice.

What could be causing this? I attached what Extensions I'm currently using.

I had to reinstall Windows because of a blue screen of death I couldn't fix. My firefox and everything else was gone. I want to restore my Firefox tabs. I've clicked on history, manage history, then Import and Backup, then Restore, and then I tried choosing the file from before I had to reinstall, but when I click on that file and click open, I get the message, this will replace all of your current bookmarks with the backup. Are you sure? I click ok, but nothing happens. Help! In Firefox 89 (as in all previous) all open tabs lined up at the top (first screen shot). When I updated to 90, they disappeared and only one (current) tab shows up at bottom right (second screen shot). I cannot find a way to see all open tabs as before - only when I close the current tab will the entire lineup of open tabs show for a moment and then go back to the single current open tab. I can't work this way and it's driving me crazy. I've searched online, tried changing settings in about:config and nothing seems to want to put all open tabs back up top where they were. What am I missing? (More - I am trying to upload a screen shot and just get the spinning gear. The file is below the upload size limit. I'm going to try submitting this anyway.)

Windows 7x64 desktop PC, FF 90.0(64), Startup set to 'restore previous session'.

When researching subjects I can often run with 60 - 80 tabs open. Frequently, if I take time out to do some other pressing task (in response to email etc.) and that task opens a new window, sometimes closing my main window without my knowledge, this appears to cause a problem for FF in that if the new window is closed after I've finished the task and now find that my main window has already been closed, the restore tabs procedure restores the last session tabs and appears to have dumped my main session tabs. As you will readily understand, this makes it a long drawn out problem trying to restore my working point from history when I can't remember exactly which tabs were still open or which page I had landed on. I do hope you follow all that. My question is how can I prevent this from messing me up again in future? Is there a way to retain session details so I can select them again after other windows have been opened and closed? Can you please avoid techie answers cos' they'll be over my head ;-), Thanks in advance.
