hi firefox, today i get an update of firefox, after updating my browser my all the saved bookmarks, history and my login details are wiped out. kindly check this why is it happened and resolve this thing. the data saved in browser is important for me, help me to recover it

My bookmarks have all disappeared, and while I have tried to follow the instructions on the help page to restore them, nothing is working as it has been indicated that it should in the help instructions. I do still have my Bookmarks tab on my tool bar. When I click on it I get a pull down menu, which does have a Manage BookMarks bar. However it is not at the bottom of my pull down menu, but at the top. When I click on the Manage BookMarks bar, instead of getting an Import and Backup Button, my pull down menu disappears, so I can not select Restore to use to get dated backups.

In the same way, I can not create new Bookmarks. When I click on Bookmark Current Tab, instead of getting the white box to enter instructions, the pull down menu disappears, just as it does when I click on Manage Bookmarks. I have never had this problem with Firefox before in all the years I have used it. I have no idea what has happened.

After Firefox requested to be updated, I lost all of my bookmarks. I tried to go in and "restore" them but there are no backups to restore from. How do I get my bookmarks back?

I quit Firefox and when I restarted it it said it was a new version! It said something about restoring but I assumed it was just restoring my prior pages! DAMN! I can't even find a place to import bookmarks!

I am so angry I could chew nails!

100% of my bookmarks have disappeared. I tried backing up to older version a month ago and still no bookmarks were found. I had over 2000 bookmarks. any suggestions?? Marty

I just closed FF (latest version) and opened it again and all my tabs are gone. I had a private FF window open, so I am guessing this is the cause.

Is there a way to get get them back?

I don't know what you're doing but EVERYTIME I do an update lately, something goes wrong. Today after update, my STGs are affected and ALL ARE GONE. I do NOT believe this is their fault. And you put this dang auto Startpage when launching window, I did NOT ask for that. I am so pissed, how do I get them all back? I had things I was working on that were very important. What else did you add to FF that I don't know about? I don't want your updates anymore. You screwed me big time. And I don't want the extensions YOU think I should have: Google, eBay, Bing, etc. wasting my space. I'm not the only one either, seen lots of complaints.

HOW DO I GET THOSE TABS BACK??????

I'm an older pensioner, I've no wish to learn more tech stuff which is unconnected with my question. For years I've been concerned at the invasive nature of Microsoft products and so want to get rid of Win10/11 and install another OS. (I have hundreds of documents in Wordpad (.rtf) and MS are just cancelling it!) It'll probably be Linux based. So, simply I want to take my existing Firefox browser with passwords etc., to my new OS. I asked this question in Firefox and it seems Mozilla can't get over the fact that I don't want change my iOS browser to a synched up Firefox. I don't want my phone connected to my pc. Perhaps that is difficult for today's tech whizz-kids to understand but I can't help that. I'm not really technical but have had Firefox for nearly 30 years, so can anyone tell me if it's possible to copy my Firefox into a folder somewhere perhaps, and reconstitute it to work with my new OS? It certainly used to be possible. Thanks.

I have 374 saved Passwords & User names in Firefox on my computer. Just bought a new PC and want to transfer the data to firefox or chrome on new unit. How can I do that? Is it possible to transfer the data?

I don't come from an IT/Tech background so this has become a hassle for me. I have a "Old Firefox Data" file on the my desktop and that seems to have sub-folders with my bookmarks, sessions, logins, etc. How do I retrieve those to the new Firefox browser.

Yesterday I got a prompt saying there was an update available for download. Today when restarting my laptop and opening Firefox ALL of my bookmarks are missing!!! My bookmark toolbar is also empty. Where did all of this important stuff go? Please help me restore this my information asap. I am freaking out!
