Hi. Finally got round to asking this question.

How can I be certain the Pop-up for my Primary Password is from Firefox and NOT a 'fake', pop-up (or some such) displayed by a malicious web-site?

Up until last week I was able to stream online content. Now, the sites are telling me I have Adblock on. I do not. I have ZERO extensions added on. I have almost made my computer unsafe by the amount of tracking I have allowed. I have disabled everything reasonably possible. Now even unsafe content is allowed. I have unistalled Firefox and reinstalled. I have factory reset Firefox. I have clicked on the shield to whitelist the sites. Still it says "Adblock". What hidden setting is causing this??? I have gone onto 50 pages where people try and solve this issued, I have watched 100 YouTube videos and they always give the same answer, which is unhelpful. I tried one where I had to change javascript to "false" but all that did was stop me being able to even load the streaming sites totally, so did not solve the problem. I am considering putting my entire mac onto factory re-set at this point, I am totally out of solutions.

Dear Mozilla Community,

I would like to suggest you to make built in adblocker in Firefox. For example Opera have this feature so we don't need install any extension. People from Mozilla read subjects in support.mozilla.org? If not where I can send my suggestion?

P.S. I wanted to install Adblock Plus extension but I am afraid about safety so better option is to make built in adblocker to protect from malware. I think that this can be direction in good way.

Yours faithfully, Piotr

Whenever I sign in to Ebay or Facebook or Messenger using Firefox , I immediately receive text and email warnings about a sign in from an unrecognised computer, asking if it was actually me. This does not happen when I use other browsers (Chrome or IE) so the problem seems to be with Firefox. How can I get these websites to recognise my PC and stop sending me these alerts?

I found in 87.0 and now 88.0 that even after uninstalling and installing a new version, there is after clicking Menu/Options a message on top of the window:

" ! Your browser is controlled by your organisation" This is not true, there is no organisation on this PC. After clicking the link here is a new window saying there is a application active that is called "Disable App Update". After clicking "documentation" on the left side there opens a list of applications to modify the operation of Firefox. When clicking the Disable App Udate there opens a application text with on top GitHub and activities from M.Kaply Show/ Home Button Policy Strange that it says Disable Firefox Updates. Is this application installed by you? Are you perhaps 'the organisation'? Please let me know if this is safe or not.

Another user asked the same question May 2020 and nothing has changed. It is quite annoying to have Lockwise automatically name an entry often identical to the website address and sometimes just with the IP (e.g. http://10.0.0.1), and then to have no ability to change the name of the login :(

I sometimes have to go to the URL just to figure out what the URL link is. It needs to be allow the name to be changed to be able to make this more intuitive.

Can you please add this capability?

Hi,

So I have a kind of unusual problem. I am currently logged into my Firefox account (obviously) and have access to all my saved material/history. The problem is I do not know my current password (the ones saved in the password manager are old/not correct) and I can't reset it without losing all my info. This is mostly a problem because I want to activate Firefox sync on another computer. Does anyone know how I can find out my current password without resetting everything?

Thanks!

Can you give me back my "Stuff" as it's all gone now after a change in my gmail because it wanted 3 days to confirm my request for a new password? I made a new account. After a support request to Moto G (when I could no longer download my moto g pictures), my personal files (i.e. recipes, research on US Covid 19 vaccines, and notes on anything from a Spanish learning program to family info, etc) was taken. Their tech support in the US, Ryan, helped me and it vanished and he says he can't reset it. Even though he had access through my cell and laptop.

It's a great hack. Can you help me? Cheri

"They" did leave me my creation "Family slide show" but not the historic one made for the elders.
