Unbelievable! Firefox just failed to offer me the chance, as it always has, to restore all windows from last session. I went into Options and found it had spontaneously switched itself from When Firefox Starts, "Show my windows and tabs from last time" to "Show my home page."

So how can I directly ask the application now to simply restore/reopen all my windows and tabs from last time? Please help, and thanks--

I have a site that consistently gives "The connection was reset" every three or four clicks. Refreshing brings the page up fine. Server logs show no errors whatsoever, the hits all show 200 responses with no errors logged by back-end code. This only happens in Firefox. IE, Safari, Opera all work fine.

I've tried clearing cache, cookies, etc.

I've tried reinstalling Firefox.

I've tried reinstalling an older version of Firefox in case it's a recent bug.

I've tried disabling DNS prefetching.

I've tried just about every other remedy I can find on the internet.

Is there any kind of HTML or JavaScript that would cause the browser to throw a fit for no apparent reason?

Thanks.

I have used malawarebytes, cccleaner, registry protect in addition to manually checking the registry. I am unable to do a system restore as I keep getting an error message. This started on google chrome but has spread to firefox. At the same time my ad blocker has stopped working as efficiently (coincidence?)

Firefox is infested. 2 Min.s after entering, computer is 'taken over' for 10+ repeats of 'head thrashing'. Emails then sent out to China etc.

About 1 month ago, after starting firefox on my Mac Motorola/Power PC G4 running 10.4.11, after about 2 minutes I loose control of the computer -- the pointer becomes a spinning wheel. The computer 'head' I assume makes the same 'thrashing' sound 'Nuh-ni-ni' for 10+ times(slightly longer recently), then all becomes 'normal' no matter how long I am on. or if I close & re-open firefox. Restarting the computer, however re-initiates it,. Soon afterward, my Earthlink Suspect Folder has one of more emails returned by the 'Mailer Demon', or pending until they fail. Opening these emails(saved) shows a 'block' of weird characters(like the English 'Pound Stirling' sign) of the apparent length as the number of 'Nuh-ni-ni' sounds. They seem all addressed to people or places of 'Chinese'/Asian name. A lot fail -- some may not -- some may also now have personal/password information. Have emptied Cache History, installed Cookie & Beacon web plugins to no effect. On search, Quicktime noted that mine out of date & dangerous -- but update can't run on my 10.4.11 Don't know what to do. Seems scary & dangerous

I have a newly installed DSL Most times when I try to go to a website, I get a message that Firefox can't find it. But it immediately loads when I click on "Try again". It's as though there is not enough time for it to load. Happens often, even with "Yahoo" or "mail".

The second problem is that The computer freezes on some web sites, forcing me to go out of firefox & start again.

Hi,

I wrote the below message on 12/9 but did not get an answer. Please help!

Hi,

For certain Web pages, when I press ctrl-P, the complete Web page prints just fine! However, for certain other Web pages, when I press ctrl-P, only the beginning of the Web page prints!

I do not have such problems with Internet Explorer -- and I am getting tired of copying and pasting the URLs into Internet Explorer to get it to print completely. I would prefer to do all my work in Firefox without having to switch back and forth with Internet Explorer.

Operating system: Vista, service pack 2 Firefox: version 3.6.12

Please help. Thanks.

On my new (other) computer, since I got it recently I got a message from Firefox about an update and I loaded it. Since then when I close the browser, it automatically closes all my tabs and does not even ask me if that is OK like it used to. Is there a fix for this or can I go back to my previous version somehow? I believe it is running the 3.6.12 now, but not certain and I don't know which version I had just before this update. The computer having this problem is a new Acer PC running 64bit windows 7 and Microsoft 2010 software

My system was re-set during repairs and I have lost my Firefox bookmarks. Are these stored anywhere on the system? I did a full backup of documents and programme files before repair, but can't find any bookmark file.

I did not do backups of the bookmarks regularly, since I thought these would be saved somewhere. However, I can't find any bookmark files on my backed-up system.

Can I disable the private browsing feature or if not is there anyway that I can keep an eye on what sites they may have visited? Private browsing is a good idea ifyou are buying a secret present or something but I am unable to directly supervise them all the time and I do like to check up on what they have been doing.
