It display everything ok, but when I want to download any image from facebook it saves to disk BUT THE IMAGE WONT open, not in win explorer not even in photoshop.

This is extremely weird because this problem only happens on FB, in every other social media or webpage I can download images as I please and everything runs ok, but in FB DONT!! This problem start in late november 2020, until now. I've tried every single advice you offer in the help menu whit no success, I even reset windows and still happen.

I'm thinking that Facebook have introduce some sort of new code that protect images from been downloaded. Do you guys know why FB IMAGES DOWNLOAD AS CORRUPT FILES  ?

Every time there is a new release of firefox, i go through the same process... I install the release, all is well. i download a file and firefox does it, however it is not to where i want it. it downloads to the download folder.

It is then that I realize that the release changed my options of asking me where to download the file. If a USER has specified to be asked where to download the file, this should not be changed with every release change.

How would you like it if every release asked you what language you would like???

Once the settings are made in options, the new release should not modify it to what firefox thinks it should be.

Thanks

I have downloaded Firefox recently and have signed in my Firefox account. After dowwnloading, I was asked to install updates, which I did. After the second installation although at my programs menu I have one Firefox installed at the start page there are two icons of Firefox. Also, at the recently added programs there are there are two firefox icons. If I will press the one it opens the Firefox browser showing me signing in. If i will press the other icon it does not show me signing in. Is it a normal state. Can you figure out the two Firefox icons created. How can I delete the one? It does not let me delete them by pressing delete. Thank you for reading.

'i bought a new mac air. The Genius Bar did not transfer firefox from my old mac air to my new one. i was on chat for an hour with apple support last night and they could not get it down. Right now, safari is working ok on the new mac air but my wife wants firefox because i guess she has a bunch of bookmarks and other things stored there. plus a history, i guess. The message from firefox on the new mac air reads "we're having trouble getting your pages back". Firefox seems go be working well on the old mac air.

also since we took her mac air to the Genius Bar, she has not been able to receive emails. they are locked down on the Monday Genius so-called worked on the migration/

I have NEVER completed Total Adblocker install. Now it keeps "expiring in 5 days" and I cannot remove it using published procedure. I have NEVER completed Total Adblocker install. I cannot uninstall something which was NOT installed but keeps running..... A Linux command (CLI not GUI!) to permanently uninstall this offensive software would be appreciated.

Hi. I have a dual boot system -> windows 10 and mx linux. I am learning about linux and would switch to it some day. I'm not aware of multiple profiles till recently. I'm finding it difficult to manage history and bookmarks. I would like to have two separate profiles - home and work , on both w10 and linux, with home profiles in sync on those, similarly for work profiles, created on only one account . Is it possible to do so ? Windows 10 - home, work mx linux - home, work

If not, it would be a huge help for users like us to separate browsing activity based on preferences, and use it anywhere, instead of managing one big chunk of data.

I am trying to backup my Firefox profile in my computer (running Ubuntu LInux 20.04) and found something I've never seen before. Can someone help me understand what these are. In my profile folder, `~/.mozilla/firefox/xxxx.default-release/`, I found a large subfolder called "storage". For example, if I run `du` command under shell, I got the following summary disk usage:

   940 ./bookmarkbackups
   56 ./crashes
   4508 ./datareporting
   376 ./extensions
   48 ./gmp
   1364 ./gmp-gmpopenh264
   9104 ./gmp-widevinecdm
   4 ./minidumps
   4 ./saved-telemetry-pings
   4544 ./security_state
   4776 ./sessionstore-backups
   1663496 ./storage
   876 ./weave

Clearly the "storage" folder is exceeding anything else in terms of usage. Further investigation found "default" subfolder and inside, many site-specific folders such as `https+++www.youtube.com`.

Two questions:

1. What does "storage" subfolder contain? In addition, what do these subfolders contain: gmp, gmp-gmpopenh264, gmp-widevinecdm, minidumps, saved-telemetry-pings, security_state, sessionstore-backups, weave?

2. Is this "storage" folder safe to omit for the purpose of backing up the profile?
