For many years, the content management system that I have been using has worked just fine with previous versions of Firefox. To access the backend area for a client of mine to edit their own website I built for them, they would go to their website and hit Control-Y on any page of their website. This would bring up the login prompt window so they could login and start live editing their site. Now, when I hit Control-Y, nothing happens.
I saw a previous post that mentioned adjusting (allowing) keyboard shortcuts in the settings area. I did this but unfortunately, this didn't solve my issue.
Can someone tell me why this no longer works with Firefox and what the possible fix / workaround might be?

I have already reset the app.update.lastUpdateTime.xpi-signature-verification preference in about:config. Still same problem.
Similar questions have been asked in the forums 4 months ago. Apparently there has been a hotfix pushed out to update since then, but it probably isnt doing anything for my firefox.

Every time our customer use our product, they cannot find the shield quickly shown in the picture, so some information could not be shown, which leads to some issues on our product. I have read multiple responses to the ridiculous multi-threading "feature" in FF, tried all the suggested fixes, but none work. This one - The multi-process opt-in pref browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 is no longer used in Firefox 58. In Firefox 58+ only browser.tabs.remote.autostart is used, so you need to set this pref to false to disable multi-process. also does not work - I have done this and gone back multiple times to check the setting, which hasn't changed from the False, but the multi-threading demon remains active. It is constantly crashing my system - not just the browser. And yes, I use the updated versions all the time. I really need to stop this feature once and for all, and if FF can't fix the issue, then maybe it is time for another browser. Is anyone actually paying attention to this issue?

Firefox has been extremely laggy and slow lately. I've tried every "quick fix" I've found online, to include refreshing, sfc /scannow, disabling extensions, re-installing firefox, running malware scans, etc. This started after a cluster of windows, firefox, NVIDIA updates about a week ago, and I haven't been able to pinpoint the source of the issue. So far the only thing that brings the browser back to full speed is restarting my computer with an offline Windows Defender scan. It never actually finds anything, but when the computer restarts Firefox works at regular speed until it is locked for a couple hours or restarted. Any thoughts?

Not to mention getting completely screwed if I cannot access the Web or lose the password.

I want to minimise info given to sites about myself, but just enough so that I can sign in to a few trusted forums, manufacturer's sites etc without having to log in every time, as long as I checked "Remember me". I would have liked that to include ebay, amazon but don't think they can be 'trusted' to not collect my info. Google seems to be accessible OK even when fully blocked. I have ublock origin. And Content blocking - strict - on a shield symbol - not sure where that comes from.

I reinstalled my firefox just to refresh everything. Earlier firefox was not crashing, but now random tabs are crashing. I disabled my addons, disabled hardware acceleration, disabled muti-processing, etc but still it crashes. Only when I restart in safe mode, it doesnt crash.
I reinstalled firefox 3 times now, it crashes everytime. What is the issue?

It seems like nothing at first but when I'm constantly opening and closing Firefox it's gotten annoying enough that I'm looking to fix it. I tried following the instructions recommended here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1118937 but to no avail. I tried looking through about:preferences but can't find anything. Я его игнорировал, кажется, больше недели, потому что не хотел перезагружать несколько сотен вкладок. Компьютер всё это время был включен, а браузер оставался открыт. Вопроса, собственно, три: 1. Это баг или фича? 2. Если это фича, то как её отключить, чтобы такое не повторилось в будущем? 3. Можно ли что-то сделать сейчас, чтобы продолжить работу, не перезапуская браузер?
ОС - Linux mint. Firefox установлен НЕ из репозитория, а как отдельный deb пакет, скачанный с официального сайта Мозиллы. Версия 68.0.2 (64-битный).
