Hi,

The right-click context menu has a "open image in new tab" option with a handy keyboard shortcut, however using it one goes in to the new tab with the opened image. Is there any way to use the "open image in new tab" but staying in the current tab?

Thanks.

Hello..............when I open a new Firefox browser tab, I see the heading Top Sites and a selection of eight links, most of them to the websites that I use frequently.

Needing 12 rather than eight, I found the facility to select a second row. But the second row also has eight links and some of them are not wanted.

Please tell me how I can select 12 links and stop at that number. If I right click the three dots in the top right corner of one of the unwanted links and then select Dismiss, another unwanted link replaces it.

I know this is a simple problem but it has defeated me. Please help.

And thank you..................Richard

Can we maybe add a show once option or similar, in my case I use Tabliss which could also be the culprit -- but it seems to me disabling this notification should be an option or even better, have it actually show once.

Can I trust the permissions section of an extension? If Firefox says an extension only has access to a single website, can I trust it or can an extension installed from the official website go rogue anytime and have access to any site I go to? I mainly use Firefox but I don't have the confidence to install so many add-ons because there's no indication that it's currently accessing the site or not. about:performance don't always tell the whole story and a working extension can not show itself there.

Other browsers can set which site has an extension can have access to. You also have a clear indication that it's currently ON by hovering at the extension icon where a "Has access to this site" message will appear. Hope we can have something like that in Firefox soon.

I am pretty sure I'm the only person in the whole world with this problem because I couldn't find this issue in any search engines including Google.

I used that online site (I forgot name) to make a new Firefox theme (just fiddled around colours, images etc), but didn't commit and closed Firefox and forgot about it. Now everytime I open Firefox, that same theme takes over whatever theme I have selected or the default theme. I can change to other themes fine but when Firefox restarts, it reverts back to that theme. I don't understand why something I didn't even save is taking control like this. I don't want to delete/reset profile or re-install Firefox.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello.

I am using a Raspberry Pi 400, which is 64-bit, but Mozilla Firefox automatically downloaded version 78.10.0esr (32-bit), and when I look in 'add-ons' and then 'plugins' in order to access the Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc., it isn't there. It is not mentioned anywhere at all, and so I am unable to watch Channel 4, which requires I enable DRM content.

Please help? Thanks.

I have had AddBlockPlus installed for years blocking ALL adds ! I have lately seen adds before I can see videos in YouTube ! I use FireFox in latest update - automatic updates itself.

I have tried to UN-install and then RE_install AdblockPlus with no luck - I stille on some videos have adds - one or even two - before I can see the video !

If I wait for a while to start the video sometimes the adds disappears and I can see the video.

I beleave it has to do with updating Windows to 20H2 - because I think I have got the problem after that update.

What can I do to get these adds til Hell ?

There are only a few things that I need on right click. Open in New Tab, save image as, copy link, copy link location. Only rarely do I use the developer functions, so that over time I am accustomed to accessing the Developer Tools from the Tools tab on the main menu. The fact that many of these tools that I do not use are now on the right-click menu are causing me to make errors. I subscribe to an online newspaper that is the first item I read in the day. I go through the front page of the newspaper, I right click on articles I want to read in a new tab. I am so used to doing this efficiently from older versions of Firefox in which the right-click menu always opened where I right-clicked and therefore at the "open link in new tab" selection. Now, what happen is that I react by instinct and find myself clicking the middle of the menu and not the top. This results in errors that waste my time and cost me time and frustration.

Having read a few other problems that other people have had with updates of Firefox, I have to add my voice here. I realize that there are legitimate reasons to change some things - but these things are technical and deal with internet security - not style. It seems to me that constantly moving things around (like menu bars and the like) interrupts a user's accustomed work flows and therefore not a benefit.

It seems to me that there are two possible solutions: One is to make every aspect of user preferences editable by the user. For me, that means the main menu bar is on the top, followed by the tabs, and the right-click or context menus are editable by the user. The other solution is to create two Firefox browsers - one for the traditionalist (I'm 82) and a new browser called "Firefox Superuser".

For now, I'd just appreciate it if someone could tell me how I can get the stuff I don't use off the right-click menu.

I apologize for my grumpiness, I realize you're all volunteers. But, first thing in the morning, having to try to remember that the right click menu might not be opening with "open link in new tab" right next to my cursor is more than I can manage. I automatically click and at least 80% of the time, I'm clicking the wrong thing.
