After update to 89.0 (or even after 88.0) tabs are constantly crashing. OS: Windows 10 pro (19043.1023), last update KB5003214. Firefox completely re-installed 2 times, last time with full refresh. No addons/extensions are in use, only default H264 plugin. Strict tracking protection with always "do not track" is set, but previously no troubles at all for years. Nvidia graphics driver last (462.59 studio) installed with EVGA GTX 1060. Hardware acceleration is disabled. This issue started on August 19, 2021 with a profile I have been using for about 3 years. It persisted so I copied data and the chrome folder to a profile folder I created in October, 2020 but had not used. That was on August 22, 2021. It happened again with the 'new' profile. I quit several times earlier in the day (without clearing history, clearing and managing data) without issue. Sometimes the lock file is NOT deleted when Firefox quits. Frequent crashes. I've run Onyx. Reset extensions. Reinstalled firefox. I've been using google maps frequently, so I switched to safari and that crashed too. Trying chrome now -- no problem yet. I'm wondering if GPU is at fault. I've ramped up cooling based on GPU. Still crashing. Tried holding down D and option D to test ram but I just get a command line on a non-responsive screen.

This is the 3rd time I've posted here about crashing in the last month or so. I really do apologize for having to post again but I simply haven’t gotten to a solution. I really need to continue using Firefox as all the other browsers are significantly slower in my experience and I'm in the browser around-the-clock. I’d be willing to pay for customer support from Mozilla but they do not provide any type of support directly as most of you probably know.

Please review this link here to see all the steps I have already taken to troubleshoot the crashes.

I really thought that the crash reports I had would help me pinpoint the issue but it appears as though they’re not very helpful for those who can interpret them. If that’s not the case, I greatly appreciate it if anybody can dig through them to uncover some insights related to why I may be having frequent crashes (I'm willing to pay).

Since yesterday's update on my Windows 7, today I first got error messages on pages I usually visit, my home page and the Google signin page among my Favorites. The browser crashed when I tried to bring up Settings. Subsequently I could not open it again. I just shut down that computer in case repowering it solves the problem later. This is Mac Catalina. Firefox just updated here. I hope on this computer the problem does not surface.

For some reason, randomly, and now this is occurring more and more frequently, Firefox will just hang and say that "Firefox is not responding," and I have to wait ~30 seconds for it to unfreeze and continue using Firefox. I have tried every potential solution that I could find on the Internet, such as disabling hardware acceleration, creating a new places database, etc., and I still keep getting these 30 second freezes on a pretty frequent basis. Do you guys know what might be going on?

Ever since Firefox updated to the new version I've been having constant crashes. I've tried restarting in Safe Mood which doesn't help. Pretty much Firefox will open, say it's not responding, and then by the time it looks like it's about to restore my tabs it crashes. I had to do a refresh and transferred the backup files from an older session which worked, but then it eventually crashed again. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and tried opening my older profile but it keeps happening. I really need to restore my previous session. There's nothing with my computer that seems to be causing it. I did have 2 windows open with about 8,000 tabs total which I'm sure could be part of the reason, but it never really had trouble before and only just started crashing since the update. Is there any way to fix this without starting over? I read that this is a bug that others have dealt with previously.

Some additional information. I'm on a 64-bit Windows 10 PC.

Hi for a while now, few months Firefox crash like crazy on my PC

Sometimes it would just crash at start, and refused to open Sometimes tab start crashing, and eventually firefox crashes

Common sites where i see the crash happens are cnn.com and nba.com

I usually restart my PC , refresh firefox or reinstall it to get rid of the crashes but this is very tiring , very tiring

I am sure its something on my PC that causing the conflict, because even reinstalling doesnt entirely fix it

But i have no clue what it could be

Firefox (and chrome, but not edge) crashes on startup. There's no crash report. The window shows up as an outline for a fraction of a second and then is gone. It doesn't show up in task manager. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. I've updated windows and my antivirus. I've tried a few other fixes that came up from searching for a fix, but so far nothing has helped.

Has Mozilla stopped processing crash reports for older versions of Firefox like Firefox ESR v52.9.0 (the legacy version for Win XP and Vista)? I tried to filter crash reports on the Mozilla Crash Report site at https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/home/product/Firefox for older versions of Firefox but I can't select a Firefox version older than v68.4.1 (i.e., the current FF ESR version) - see attached image.

I'm trying to assist a Vista SP2 / Firefox ESR v52.9.0 user who is trying to troubleshoot their browser crashes but they've told me they are having problems submitting their crash reports from about:crashes. I just want to make sure that Mozilla is still processing crash reports for older version of Firefox if the user submits them from about:crashes manually, assuming the crash report is less than 6 months old.

So i downloaded firefox from the website... it doesnt even open! i tried to reinstall which didnt solve the problem.. then i uninstalled and installed it from the MS Store... it opened once and i used it for a day, but then the next day.. it again crashed and didnt open.. i didn't have extensions nor any themes. PLease help.. i used it everyday in win10... but in win11, edge or chrome is the only option.. pls fix it ASAP

I am a Firefox user for 5 years now and never had such bad experience before. Since 2022 February 8 my Firefox application keeps crashing all the time. The browser opens and I can open webpages as well, but shortly after opening the websites, most of the pages result in Firefoxing crashing. I have latest version of Firefox and I have checked in safe / troubleshooting mode as well, but it did not help, Firefox still crashes. I have submitted a lot of crash reports in the last two days, the latest one has this ID: bp-94f69edd-95cb-40e3-84de-33cb20220210.

Please let me know what to do, as currently I cannot use Firefox and without a fix I have change to another web browser. Please also note that the same webpages that crash under Firefox work without errors in other browsers.

Once Firefox is installed, it works the rest of the day with no issue but almost daily the morning after, it will start to open then instantly crash. When using the dark theme from Firefox, Google searching seems to break completely as well as some pages will not load which may be related to this.

I have already tried uninstalling Firefox, deleting all of the folders, then reinstalling with a freshly downloaded installer (Even tried the beta one) with same results. It seems potentially MAYBE related to how long ago I closed Firefox before I shut down (Like Firefox is trying to save something to a secure location and times out, then it will work but if it hasn't timed out, then it crashes... or this is my guess)

I really am tired of constantly reinstalling Firefox but I do not want to use Chrome or Edge unless websites require it.
