I have Windows 11 and Firefox 124.0.2. Firefox keeps asking to reinstall. I think it is because I keep getting the message that it fails to check for updates. I don't know if I have installed the Microsoft Firefox or the direct Mozilla Firefox downloaded. Maybe that is the problem, but I am not tech savvy. I have used Firefox for many years and like it. I am also too old (83) to deal with these problems. Help!

I did an Upgrade to a version of Firefox that would bypass those "Your Browser Is Not Supported" messages that apparently come from "Cloud-flare." I figured [naievely!] that my addons would "port" to the upgrade. They didn't. Is there any way [e.g., a putative backup file, perhaps] that would allow this?

Hello, I have problem with firefox. When I try download from facebook page files .docx, .xlsx (Microsoft Office) Firefox automatically download it as PDF and file is broken. I don't know how to repair this. Please help, it is very frustrating.

I have Firefox 124.0.2 running on Windows 11. For some reason, I can't update Firefox. When I manually download the update file, it appears to run Ok, but the version doesn't change. If I go to settings and click on "Check for Updates" is comes back and says Failed to Check for Updates. How do I fix this?

Originally reported on April 11th /questions/1444593: I have Windows 11 and the Firefox 124.0.2 browser. I cannot update to the latest version of Firefox. I receive an error message "Failed to update". I've uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, ran the install utility selecting update, nothing seems to work. Please help

I am trying to access Oracle eBS instance but when I login to the page, I get a notification as shown in the image.

After installing the plug-in and restarting the browser, when I try to run the application, I get the same notification.

Due to repeated issues over a week, I uninstalled Firefox days ago. Tried to Reinstall it repeatedly on same device several times. It was working before..BUT it keeps showing its downloaded on Settings but Firefox download page keeps showing "DOWNLOAD" Tried several times. Not my computer. Nothing works to resolve it.. Windows 11..

Hello, I've installed Firefox twice in the last couple of days (Windows 10 - I think) and I continue to receive messages that say I need to install the latest version.

Do you issue updates daily, or is there something wrong with my Firefox installation or is it something else?

I wish to install and use the Firefox browser on my old 64bit Windows 7 laptop.

I believe the last v115 will be the last Windows 7 compatible version of Firefox, if this is correct where can I find this or the correct version of Firefox to download and install on my Windows 7 laptop?

The Firefox website only seems to provide v119 now.

I found that Firefox can automatically generate a QR code for each URL, which is a powerful and useful feature! I'd like to know if this QR code has an expiration date.

My update preference for Firefox is to download but I will install it. But it consistenly (over the last numerous updates) changes it to Automatic. I do not want Automatic updates. I want to control when it updates. I do not see this issue addressed anywhere. I have checked numerous times. Please help! My sincere thank you for your time and attention to my request for help. About a week ago I started getting these update error messages stating "Update available - Firefox couldn't update automatically. Download the new version". I've also tried clicking "Learn more" on the error message but it's a dead link. Going into the settings for updates I am set to auto update, but when I manually check for updates it says "Failed to check for updates".

The help article on this issue simply tells you to download and manually reinstall Firefox, but I'm having to do this nearly every day. I work in IT myself so I know a "bandaid" workaround when I see one. Is there a solution to this issue?

I started using firefox actively a year back or something like that, last couple of months it started driving me nuts as it started updating every time I launch it, which is very annoying even if it takes only 10 15 seconds, I sometimes need to check something really quick and I have to wait for it to finish installing an update, even though I checked the setting for it to do so in the background, it seems to only do it after I launch it disrupting my workflow, which made me switch back to Chrome temporarily, is there a way to fix this?
