How do I restore my recent desktop bookmarks that disappeared with FF 89.0? The history shows sites visited on my other devices, not on my MacBookPro, except for from a couple of weeks ago and after the update yesterday. My travel searches and saved bookmarks from the past couple of weeks are all gone.

I recently updated to the latest version of Firefox and made it my default browser.

A recurring problem filling forms is that the cursor won't appear in fields I select and consequentially when I try to type nothing appears. I half expected that to happen just now.

Sometimes I can use the tab key and cycle to the each field instead of using my laptop pad or mouse, but there is no obvious reason why that works sometimes and others not.

I can reach the end of a multi-step form and clicking on the submit button won't work.

This also happens when posting a external link to an article on Facebook and to a lesser degree on Twitter.

I am running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit on a Surface Book 2.

Note: Not to kitchen sink this post but I also have performance issues with multiple tabs pinned, where Firefox is a lot slower than Chrome configured the same with the same number of tabs pinned. As a matter of principle and functionality, I really want to make Firefox work.

In the past month or so I have been unable to upload files from my PC to any file hosting/sharing accounts: YouTube, Google Drive, Vimeo). Every attempt is either stuck at "Upload starting" forever (waited 24 hours), or part way through the upload will fail with no meaningful information. When I switch to Chrome it works every time as expected. Again, note that so far I have not had any ongoing issues with downloads. The occasional failure, but nothing noteworthy. I have tried removing Firefox from my machine, wiping all folders, caches, etc. reinstalling - nothing fixes this issue. It has continued over approximately three FF major updates. Please assist. Thanks.

On ubuntu 20.04, the snap version of firefox can't play some videos. Some youtube videos will play but streams won't, and then I get the message "to play video, you need to install the required video codecs". On telegram web and tweetdeck I also get this message while trying to play some video.

Since it's a snap, nothing I do on my system will solve the problem, I cannot install any codecs.

It's firefox 89.0

I'm a left handed mouse user. For editing purposes, I don't use my left hand, I use my right hand. And, generally use the right handed keyboard shortcuts as defined by Microsoft a long time ago. I've notice that some of the short cuts have been implemented, while others are not. It is possible to implement them all, as it's annoying when I try to do a copy and paste operation, and have to .. Left Click .. my mouse to execute a copy operation, while pressing [ SHIFT + INSERT ] to do the paste operation. I would prefer to just press [ CTRL + INSERT ] to copy.

PS .. I've also noticed that [CTRL + END] works, while [CTRL+ HOME] does not.

I am trying to read and respond to comments on articles on the Foxnews.com site. I have been doing this for a long time, Suddenly I can not.

Using iMac with latest SW. Firefox latest version. Also tried Chrome and Safari.

When I go to their home page my computer is logged in as usual automatically. However when I click on an article it displays the article but the comments section is never displayed and my computer is not logged on on that page, Nor is there a button to login again.

I have turned off tracking protection. And listedf the website as to allow ads etc I think, Not sure about the latter,

Baffling me. Any help would be nice.

I have noticed that when I manually log in into accounts.google.com with no prior cookies in the browser and no association with a google account prior to that, it automatically logs me into sites like youtube.com, even with the strictest cookie policies (tried with Strict, custom+cross-site and custom+third-party). I do not particularly mind privacy wise since I'll log into them with the same account anyways, but as far as I understood, there should be absolutely no way this should happen. Cookies should be isolated by domain, I have uBlock Origin installed which prevents cookie sharing between domains by setting some CNAME records in subdomains (Uncloak canonical names), and afaik Firefox does not automatically read the google account cookies and share them around - if it did, that would be even more serious. So what is happening here and how can I change that? This seems to be a serious issue that I'm honestly not comfortable with out of principle since I chose the strictest settings.
