My Firefox Developer Edition crashed. The menu disappeared all of a sudden and I can't get to any websites now. I tried removing everything FF related on my Macbook Pro and then downloading again and it still looks like the screen shot included here. Nothing going on at the top anymore and it looks like it's 'applying update' but this never ends.

Any ideas what might be the cause of this? And what I can try to fix it?

This seemed to all happen at the same time I was working on a GoDaddy managed WordPress website - while pushing my staging site to the production site. GoDaddy said their system software was being updated but that shouldn't affect a browser.

We have a problem with printouts, i.e. when we have a generated printout and it is opened by the built-in pdf viewer in ff, then after clicking print, the spooler becomes clogged and the pdf file weighs almost 100 Mb. There are no such problems when opening the file with the installed Acrobar Reader DC application. A request for information on what may be the cause of this condition. I would like to add that this is the VDA VMware Horizon version 7.10. The Mozilla Firefox browser in the picture is 78.0.2 esr 64 bit.

in previous versions when you refreshed firefox it would send a file to my desktop where it gave the add on so you would not lose them it gave the data file now it does not how do i get them back.? See example below the new version no longer has that option

so now  i will lose bookmarks and extentions

So I randomly got this thing orange outline around my address bar out of no where today. I checked and its non of my addons and I can't seem to find anything in the settings that doing it. Any ideas on how to fix?

I already abandoned Firefox browser after they forced a "refresh" on me thus deleting all my bookmarks buttons, bookmarks etc. etc. Over the years of all this b/s I finally decided to never again. Had enough of Mozilla nonsense.

I've clicked on the Get VPN link which takes me to my account sign-in. I sign-in and am returned to the Get VPN link. When I click it I'm returned to my account sign-in, I sign-in which then takes me back to the get VPN page. It's like I'm stuck in a loop. Am I missing something obvious?

I used to be able to access the support community through a dedicated account, but I am forced to use my Firefox account now. According to the instructions (in Dutch), I would be enabled to link the two as a next step. This turns out not to be the case and I cannot select my previous display name either. Any suggestions how to fix this?

After losing my session history and bookmarks from using firefox's "forget last 5 minutes" feature on accident, I used shadowcopyview to create a backup of my old profile. Now, after two reinstalls, I still cannot recover my session or bookmarks, even when replacing the old profile entirely.

JeffersonCher's wonderful scrounger has helped me to recover from a similiar blunder in the past, but this time, attempting to recover the session from a recovery file gave me 3 websites I haven't visited in 2 years and an error message when attempting to recover the bookmarks.

Anything you can provide would be a big help: I am very confused on how to really proceed.

I've noticed that since v89 the bookmarks (and other menu's) text is larger, so much so that now i am 1-2 away from them not fitting vertically in the page. Not sure what changed, but i'd like to know so i can change it back.

debian Linux 64bit,firefox 87 is fine. It's a problem with 88.0. try: firefox https://bing.com I can see the title changed,but blank webpage.

try: rm -fr ~/.mozilla run firefox 88.0 , same thing happens.

FireFox stores my passwords. However, frequently, when I try to log on to a site the "Fire Fox Lockwise" window opens. I have to close the tab to continue with log on. What gives? Why does it happen and how do I stop it?

I'm having trouble sharing my screen with Firefox 87 on Ubuntu 20.04.2.

What happens when I go to share, the "Will you allow <site> to share your screen" window pops up. "Select a Window or Screen" is autofilled, but I cannot hit 'allow' (it is greyed out). When I click the dropdown, the "Select a Window or Screen" option is greyed out, and my only other option is "Use Operating System Settings". When I select this I can hit "allow", but no other options pop up and my screen is not shared, although firefox seems to think so (shows the orange symbol at top, site privacy settings show sharing allowed).

So I'm on mac. When I tried to open an svg with preview, I found this. I don't know what it is for but I just clicked on it. But then it lead me to a popup saying "Firefox downloaded this app (Updated.app) from an unknown date", is that any good? I clicked cancel because I thought it would crash or break my system or app.

My machine must have been hacked by spyware when it was installed, ad would only like to reinstall it after inspecting the machine abroad. What to do fr a “52.09” at this time, where it is not supported? I am the victim of frequent disturbances.

I decided to add a secondary email address to my Firefox-account, and then swap it with my primary address. After that I wanted to delete the secondary address (that I´m only supposed to use at work), in order to add a new email-address. However, by clicking "save" a red alert message was saying "Email already exists". This confuses me, as it is not shown in my settings! I´ve checked the email-address (which I use since the  late 90s) and it works fine...and I might have tried to do the same operation several years ago.
