Logged into my Firefox account and after restarting the browser my tabs and browser history are gone. Every file in "sessionstore-backups" is also deleted and now only has two newly created recovery files. Why did Firefox delete my desktop browser session after logging in? Can I somehow recover my old session or maybe at least my browser history?

I reinstalled windows, installed firefox and signed in but my bookmarks (toolbar) have not sync'd, I have bookmarks toolbar set to always show, and my android phone has firefox installed and the bookmarks are there, they just will not sync to my pc, whats up?

A few days ago, my Firefox installation stopped auto-completing my URLs. I didn't think much of it. But I tried looking up my history and bookmarks today, and they're both gone. History won't update, and I can't add new bookmarks. In-page autocomplete still works.

My Firefox version is 140.0.2 for MacOS on an M1 Mac Mini. I'd recently update my computer's operating system before I noticed the issue, and I had to do a hard power-down a day or two afterward. I do not know if the issue began before or after the hard shutdown.

Whatever update that happened recently destroyed everything I used Firefox for, everything. How can I get it all back? It seems there is no going back?

How did Mozilla left this get by? If I have to rebuild everything it will take years.

I may as well use a more worthy browser. I am so angry. I've lost links to so many family items like the burial site of my birth father. So, many things gone. I'm stunned and crushed over this.

I trusted Mozilla. Now i can't trust Mozilla.

Today randomly i noticed that my bookmark bar is waaay shorter out of the blue, i didn't change or adjust anything, all i do is the updates from mozilla that's all, it was all music it really saddens me because atm it's lost forever, i hope somebody can help me (i don't know since when it disappered i literally just noticed it right now ...)

The contents of my Bookmarks Toolbar disappeared at the same time as a Windows 10 update. Instead of my bookmarks, I see "For quick access, place your bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar. Manage bookmarks." I right-clicked on the space and I have "Always Show" still checked.

After importing bookmarks from Microsoft Edge browser to Firefox, the two browsers have folders with the same name in the same directory. Some of the bookmarks in the folders have the same website domain names. I hope that in the future, Firefox can automatically organize bookmarks from two identical folders into one folder and automatically delete bookmarks with duplicate domain names. This feature is available when importing bookmarks from Firefox using Microsoft Edge. I hope Firefox can also improve it. Thank you.

The title sums it up. • Does anyone know why FFx , when opened following my MacBook Pro Restart, opens without any of my selected Tabs AND then provides no History of my last FFx session??? • Hours of Internet research, vanishes! It really p--- me off! • This has happened at least 4 or 5 times in the past year to year and a half and on both computers. And I do stay on top of my FFx updates. If a Notice appears on my screen, I usually install within 24 hours. • This last time (today) I had previously updated FFx a few hours earlier and then I needed to run a Restart of the computer.... • MBPro fires back up, I open FFx and nothing in the Tabs Header. GONE! Poof! • I go to Browsing History - no Restore Previous Session (by any other term) • Doesn't it seem logical? THAT fundamental function would be right there, top of the list?!?! • HERE IS THE KICKER: In FFx I opened the FFx "About Firefox" menu and noticed it says, amidst all the provided information, "Failed to check for updates." • BS! It was following the update that FFx Tabs vanished! How can it insert that statement? Was I suppose to do something other than click "OKAY". And then the new version begins when FFx is reopened. Right? • If this comes down to the older OS on the computer (10.13.6) I should not be receiving update notices from FFx. If so, a notice of, "Your Mac's OS is too old to run FireFox's latest version" would be what I should receive. So, as you can tell, I'm frustrated and baffled at the same time. Any thoughts? I would appreciate it. Thanks
