I have FullShot 10 which used to show my extra buttons in the FF toolbar. A few updates ago these buttons have disappeared from FF which is really inconvenient. Those buttons still appear in MSFT Edge. I cannot take a screen capture because taking a screen shot automatically makes the FS10 buttons disappear. FF10 is not add-on to FF, it is just a regular program to easy capture graphical screen information. FS10 has not been updated/altered in any way since its installation

How much longer will Firefox be down due to server updates on Mozilla.org? ALL of my extensions are disabled for that NLT 15 minute update that's been going on for well over an hour (I know, because my extensions are still disabled and have not yet reset themselves---Mozilla crapping them out, Mozilla returns them to my setup---to the way I had them configured. Specifically, the ones I'm missing the most right now are Tab Sidebar, Tiled Tab Groups, and whichever one(s) make bookmarks/new tabs open in a NEW tab, not clobbering a tab that is currently in use. I did that to open Duck Duck Go a minute ago, and had to re-write this whole support question because, for some reason, Duck Duck Go opened up in this ACTIVELY IN USE tab instead of a new tab. And not only that, it wiped the contents of this support chat window. Sorry, but that is totally UNSAT.

Thanks, jim74, [edited] @jdgblogs.com (which needs to change to [edited] @jstrack,net---how do I do that?), Firefox ESR 91.5.1esr on Slackware v. 15.

Greetings to y’all I am setting up a Microsoft Surface pro 7. Several days ago I installed windows 11 Pro on the machine.

I have tried to review previously loaded Extensions. For each of the Extensions There is a message:

"Can’t read and change data on this site"- listed after each extension. What is this about? How do I access settings for extensions?

In my Win 10 PC, Firefox has been set to update automatically as it is recommended.

136.0.2 (64-bit) is the most recent one that updated automatically.

Now all my extensions have been wiped out, my workspace changed.

That is such a breach of integrity, and a lack of respect for the user, and his carefully set up work environment, when an Auto-Update just molests my work environment. And then I have to take out hours from my busy routines, to devote to restoring everything to how it was.

There is no rollback feature for Updates, esp when Updates do the havoc they do.

There is no proper Session Management, and a standard protocol for saving, aggregating sessions across different installs, rollbacks, etc, and having the most updated, and complete one, where the onus is on the user not losing data.

Now I have to go hunt around for the past profiles, and name the present one as old, and hope that Firefox functions with integrity, and completeness to restore my whole work environment from the last profile. I'll of course be losing whatever work I happened to do in the new profile now. One never knows how complete these profiles are to reconstruct things exactly the way they were.

Strange. I always believe that stability, and integrity, and a dedication towards that on behalf of the user would be the primary goal. Now it's all about chasing something else, some bells and whistles, and faster performances, and throwing stability, and data integrity under the bus.

Recently clicked to update to the next version of Firefox. Then I get the message "Restart to Update Firefox." I restart Firefox but the message is still there when I click Help > About Firefox. It would appear that the update did not happen for some reason. Do I need to re-install Firefox to get around this problem?

Windows 11 system; currently running 131.0.3 (64-bit).

Was offered the chance to update to 132.0 (About | Help) (I do not and will not ever allow automatic updates without user approval, and my profile is stored in an entirely separate folder structure well away from the insecure \users hierarchy). Did the usual click on the update button, showed 132.0 downloading, update button changed to "Restart to Update", clicked the button...

And the update failed. Help | About shows 131.0.3, and the "Restart to Update" button is still active.

Tried again with a full shutdown instead of using the update button, same result.

So how do I force this update to install?
