I just downloaded Firefox and came to the page for importing data to Firefox, where it says " Import browser data" followed by a box containing "Microsoft Edge" in the next line, then

Select the data you’d like to import. Favorites Saved passwords Browsing history Form autofill data

then the prompt to Import

Is this a trick for Edge to import the data rather than Firefox or as it should be for Firefox to Import the data including that in Edge? As you might have guessed - I don't trust Edge or Microsoft one little bit.

Your instructions for migrating passwords from Safari to Firefox are outdated, ex.: there is no "Preferences" option, and no "..." to export

My Safari version on Macbook Pro is: Version 18.5 (20621.2.5.11.8) And my Macbook Pro runs: Sequoia 15.5

I've tried 7 times to import my bookmarks from Chrome into Firefox. Firefox says that the import was successful each time, but the bookmarks aren't showing up in the Bookmark Tool Bar. It's only showing the older import, not the latest. If I go to one of the new pages, it shows that it is bookmarked, but the list that it belongs to is nowhere to be found....

So how do I update to the newly imported "Imported From Firefox" folder?

Hi. I installed Firefox on my old Hp, and have now taken another laptop, an Acer Aspire One and installed Firefox on that as well, but a extended support version. I am struggling to import all my bookmarks (ex Chrome) to my Acer, and in the struggle I done something wrong since Firefox on the Acer is now locked or blocked !! I am an "old Timer" and not very computer literate. Can someone help me solve these issues so that I can move away from the HP and depend on the Acer. I found Firefox easier to use as compared to Chrome, which seemingly demanded more memory from the computer.

I'm looking for help in transferring everything from Firefox to Chrome. If anyone knows how, because Google isn't being the best help at the moment. I have a Chromebook, so it's been tough trying to download Firefox. I'm looking for a way to move what I need onto the laptop without having to start from scratch and do things one by one, which is too many things. I am trying to change my browser from Chrome to Firefox. I am having trouble importing bookmarks etc. When I select the versions to import, only one option from Chrome is displayed in the list - it's the version/setting of SOME years ago. What can I do to import current bookmarks?

The "import bookmarks" doesn't work on my ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS running on an old macbook air. I exported bookmarks from my chrome. when i try the import from file, it says "bookmarks exported successfully", but the bookmarks don't show up anywhere. attached screenshots. what am i missing? thanks, Nilesh

I recently switched to mozilla from chrome. I tried to import everything from chrome. But it could not import the saved password. Can you help me identify the cause that is preventing login details import from chrome?

I have depended and supported the use of firefox as my default browser. I have always backed up my extremely large bookmark file in html. yesterday I went to use brouser and my toolbar and bookmarks were gone. after wasting most of my day trying to retreave them. I have tried to import from html file, other browser. I keep getting error message. says cause is file being used by something else. i have tried uninstall reinstall, system restore, disabling all virus protection.plus more. I have had to use edge and chrome!!!!! AHHHH need a solution.

Hello I need to solve the following problem: My daughter can no longer access her Windows 11 PC -> profile issue. Can I save C:\...\profiles for her Firefox bookmarks, reset Windows, install FF, and copy back the profiles folder. Or import the bookmarks from profiles into the new FF?

hi, is it possible to import cookies.txt from another browser without using any extensions? im asking that since when im trying to import bookmarks, passwords or whatever, my previous browser that i was using is not on the list.

Good afternoon, I had to format my PC and when I installed Firefox, when I logged in, I noticed that it didn't import the bookmarks I had associated with the account (as I always do) or the saved passwords. Everything disappeared. Why? Can I recover this data? Thank you.
