I then received a message that this email address was already in use. Perhaps I once registered with this email address, but I no longer remember the password. Therefore, I'm unable to create access withe the email address as I'd like. How can I resolve this issue?

This is the last computer that I have that is still logged in! It seems that to add another email address I need verification from my first email address, which I can not get. Please help! I don't know if your response to this help question will go to my Firefox account or my email, but if it goes to my lava950 email I won't receive it.
