I can't login to Vanguard.com. When I enter my ID & password then click on the Login icon, the icon blinks as usual but nothing happens. I'm not sure when the problem started as it's been a little while since I logged in. I think it worked in V92. Fails in both V93 & 94. I went through the cookie, history & cache delete procedure but no change.

I would like to set up Firefox like it worked 5 years ago where I just click on a link and get logged in automatically.

I have stored URLs, IDs and PWs into Firefox's master password area. But apparently, my cookie/security settings/tracking settings are not right because when I click on a link, I don't get logged in automatically.

What settings should I use to get logged in automatically if my URL/ID/PW are in Firefox's Primary Password?

(Ultimately, I would like to use Norton's Password Vault and Firefox, but I think that might be compatible for an auto login?)

Thanks. Rick.

I'm using - System: Kernel: 5.4.0-89-generic x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 9.3.0 Desktop: Cinnamon 5.0.6

wm: muffin dm: LightDM Distro: Linux Mint 20.2 Uma base: Ubuntu 20.04 focal

In Linux Mint System Settings Firefox is the default web browser. That is also confirmed on the command line. Firefox is version 94.0 for Linux.

In Firefox/Settings/General/Startup - "Firefox is not your default browser" is always bold. When I click "Make Default" it just checks "Always check if Firefox is your default browser". If I leave that checked and close and open Firefox the warning that Firefox is not the default always appears. This is causing issues opening links from other software. How do I get Firefox to retain default status? Linux Mint thinks it is the default already.

I noticed that Firefox renders regular fonts in bold on some websites.

Uploading screenshots to this thread doesn't seem to work which is why I'm linking them instead. Here you can see a comparison of the search results page of Ecosia in Firefox and Chrome: https://tr.canto.global/direct/image/beu725ieo946fcaqpdfb8chh6m/OqxmN6JWDMGDkEj98IsrfaG_zsM/original?content-type=image%2Fpng&name=Firefox+using+bold+fonts.png

And here are my Firefox fonts settings: https://tr.canto.global/direct/image/lkpqv9oujh4mf7lgq7hhq7vk4m/qO2xuYdMbC02aLGVRCD3n73FMKA/original?content-type=image%2Fpng&name=Firefox+fonts+settings.png

I'm also having the same issue with the support ticket system Freshdesk.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

Thanks!

I am currently unable to access my Prodigy.net email thru the FireFox browser. I have cleared the cache and deleted cookies and am still unable to access https://mail.yahoo.com without being redirected to currently.com. Both AT & T and Yahoo indicated that this is a Firefox issue and I need to speak with Mozilla. Please provide a telephone number that I can speak with one of your representatives ASAP to resolve this issue.

Thank you for your prompt response.

Many web pages provide hyperlinks to their audio streams using M3U or M3U8 files.

These hyperlinks are served via HTTP because popular media players, like Windows Media Player or WinAmp, don't support HTTPS.

Currently, Firefox refuses to download files via HTTP (see image attached).

I always need to manually unlock those files in order to listen to audio streams. This is rather cumbersome.

Is there a setting available unlocking downloads from HTTP sources?

How on earth does someone make the thumbnails for the new tab page actually go back to normal size, and actually fill the icon box? What's the point of having the box be twice the size of the thumbnail icon, now? It makes no sense to me, and just seems like it's a waste of space, regardless of the size of screen it's displayed on.

All the ways I've had to look up for the past several versions no longer work - about:config newtabexperience=false, pasting line into usercontent.css, and so forth.

I downloaded Firefox Flatpak using the commands in this video. Youtube Video

(Is this even officially supported?)

I noticed it has some enterprise policies and in the settings page it says "your browser is managed by your organization"

Well. When I get more into the settings I saw two active enterprise policies just like this: ///

DisableAppUpdate true DontCheckDefaultBrowser true

///

And couldn't find a way to manage these policies. Is there a way to remove that? I use Linux Debian 10 on Chromebook.

Appreciate some help.

Thanks again.
