Hyperlinks keep opening in new windows, not in the same/existing window where they were selected. Issue is not unique to Google Search results and occurring across multiple websites. At wits end trying to figure this one out. I have deselected the "Open links in tabs instead of new windows", turned off all extensions, and uninstalled & reinstalled Firefox. Issue is still occurring. Attached is image of my tab selections showing all turned off.

I just lost ALL my open tabs AGAIN!!! This's the 3rd time !!!!! Restore previous tabs IS NOT IN THE Menu > History AGAIN per Mozilla's method!! Frankly, I'm tired & overwrought this keeps happening WHEN IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO!!

1. How to save a tab group without closing it? 2. How to make individual tabs in a tab group permanent? (So when you close a tab group only the permanent members are preserved.)

We hate this useless so-called feature and you've completely failed to give us an OFF switch! It's been many months with countless complaints and still no OFF switch! We've had this conversation before, all of your ideas must come with an OFF switch, especially so for the dumb ones like tab pinning! You don't ever force this dumb crap on us, ever!

Where is the fkin OFF switch already!?!?!?

Firefox 147.0.2 (64-bit) on my Lenovo Yoga 7 Windows 11 Home has been randomly malfunctioning when i use the hover over tabs with the mouse to show what is in the tab (small image) Sometimes it just fails for several hours, other times it works fine on its own later that same day.

I have tried to find this inside the browser several times with trying to find this browser-tabs-card-Preview-enabled inside about:config But it doesn't seem to exist in this version and apparently you can't add a new rule inside the browser to solve it.

Google AI solutions search is outdated or the wrong version. My computer and browser are up to date. How do i fix this ? I don't want to uninstall it, lose my logins and the bookmarks if i am unable to sync my files after trying to reinstall the browser only to find out it has failed.

I can see that I can access hidden tabs from firefox menu > History > Hidden Tabs. I have non hidden tabs in my permanent session that is saved/reload whenever I close/open Firefox.

I searched in the support section of Mozilla and found that I can use extensions to hide tabs and find these hidden tabs through History > Hidden Tabs to access or simply unhide any of those tabs.

My question is what would be the benefit of hiding any tab? For privacy? If so, is hiding tabs really efficient to protect tabs content and/or browsing history?

I could see that some extensions offer to protect hidden tabs with a password and even automatically unload tabs upon hiding them.

Thanks in advance to shed some light on this hiding feature.

I had about 15 pinned tabs - unloaded - that I was saving for a research project. I shut my PC down and when powered up for the next session - all the pinned tabs were gone. I never thought to record the tabs via screen shot or something.

Is this normal - what are the limits of pinned tabs ? Do they expire in a day ? When the PC powers down ? When Firefox updates ?

Exactly what are the limits or boundaries for pinned tabs ?

like in safari, i had pinned the websites (as tabs) i visit regularly.

when i restarted the browser, all tabs were gone.

i have been using this feature in safari since a decade and no pinned tabs have been lost.

please guide.

When checking out the new features the ' Learn More' link under Tab Groups directs to the article explaining Pinned Tabs, there is no way to get to the explanation about Tab Groups

Hi a few well known sites annoyingly load booking.com in a new tab on my firebox browser. I cant stand this it is intrusive. How to I stop firefox from doing this - I have block pops setting enabled but does not help.

Offending sites to name but a few are ryanair, thetrainline, and a few others. Is there a way to stop this without stopping other legitimate needed new tabs such as with Gmail login

Hello, I have Firefox set to open the tabs that I had open during my last session. (General > Startup > Open previous windows and tabs). When I open Firefox, it does give me all the tabs that were open in my last session. But it does not give me the current pages. It gives me the pages as they existed when I closed it.

Is there some way to have Firefox refresh the tabs when I open the browser? I seem to remember this happening in the past. But it's possible I was using a different browser then.

Now I'm using version 133.0.3, Firefox for Linux Mint mint-001 - 1.0. Yes, I realize this is not the current version. If it's possible to get this feature with the current version, I'll be happy to upgrade.

I tend to have a lot of tabs open at a time and even with the Customize Sidebar > Hide tabs and sidebar checkbox ticked, it is still distracting at times. Could you please help me find a setting/way so that I can hide it and make it re-appear when I hover on it only. Kinda like how we have on windows taskbar? Much appreciated.

Добрый день. В процессе использования браузера, вкладки самовольно перезагружаются. Играю в браузерную игру и ни с того ни с сего вкладка сама по себе перезагружается, выкидывая меня из игры. Это происходит по непонятным причинам. В настройках я отключил автообновление вкладок (about:config - accessibility.blockautorefresh: - true). Там стояло значение false. Но вкладки все равно обновляются без моего участия. Это происходит на всех моих профилях в Фаерфокс. Как это остановить? Это мешает мне пользоваться браузером и комфортно играть.

I just found out about the Firefox group tabs feature and love the concept! However, on my computer (Linux, Pop OS), the default theme makes it difficult to see the underlining color for the group. Is there a way to increase the thickness? I've added a picture of how it looks, there is only a very thin (in this pic, blue) line underneath the tabs. I can barely see it, making it's use harder...

Since the last two Firefox updates currently have 136.0.2 (64-bit) "Open link in new tab" has been doing weird stuff like.... 1) it will open the link in a new tab BUT also opens the link in the already open tab giving me two open pages the same. Kind of defeats the option of "Open link in new tab". 2) trying to highlight text is not as simple as it once was. Left click before the text hold then drag, sometimes it starts then the blue highlight box just disappears or jumps to a different part of the text and sometimes nothing at all happens. 3) the mouse has been playing up as well since the last two Firefox updates, click the x in a tab to close the tab nothing happens and it is not as accurate there was a sort of margin to where the pointer had to been before the command worked not right on whatever you wanted the pointer to operate now it has to be as accurate as possible before it recognizes the command as the x to close a tab ect. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse and drivers still happens. A still image would not really show the problem I need a video but I don't know how to do that and could I upload it?
