After updating to 107.0 -- I've been getting update notices every couple of days lately -- I am unable to size the Library window to a dimension smaller than IMMENSE.

I generally have a lot of open windows on my screen -- browser windows, file folders, Notepad files, and so forth. I keep the Library window's Downloads section open, sized to display ONE download. In the rare event that I am keeping more than one download visible (I generally "Clear Downloads" after moving a newly downloaded file from my Downloads dir to its destination dir), then they will scroll vertically.

Suddenly, I find that I am now unable to shoehorn the relatively small Library window (sized to hold ONE download) between my Downloads dir (above Library) and my "Next" dir (below the Library window), containing a list of bookmarks I plan on loading.

I am using my machine for research, and I have worked out this system and have been successfully using it for several years now.

By "now" I of course mean "then" -- argh...

I have looked through the browser.download section via about.config. The only possible suspect I could find was browser.download.improvements_to_download_panel -- but, changing it to False did nothing.

I really do not appreciate this "stealth misfeature" (it does NOT show up in the documented list of changes to this version), and if there is ANY way to revert to NORMAL behavior, I would really appreciate knowing about it.

A paternalistic "we know best" attitude, LOCKING ME OUT of the ability to resize a window -- other than to make it LARGER -- well, I want to keep a civil tone, so I won't say how I feel about that, other than to point out that in an earlier life I was a developer, and I am well aware than this sort of sizing restriction is something that must be INTENTIONALLY coded. It doesn't "just happen by itself."

Someone at Mozilla DECIDED to impose this [redacted] on the world.

I guess I will now see if I can find the FTP site to back down one version and hope there are no backward-compatibility issues. As to FUTURE updates (please note that I did not say upGRADE), I am at a loss to figure how to handle them.

This is SO [redacted] frustrating!

Here (attached image) is what I am talking about. This is now the SMALLEST size I am ALLOWED to size the window!

I am using windows 10 64. Youtube videos don't play on the latest version of firefox, but do with microsoft edge. The spinning loading circle icon appears but video playback just doesn't work on any video at all, not even youtube shorts. This seems to be a problem only with firefox version 106.0.1 and 106.0.2 on my system. I downgraded to firefox version 105.0.3 and had no issue with youtube playback.

I need help connecting a Logitech C920X PRO HD WEBCAM. I have installed OBS Studio software to connect the webcam to my desktop. The immediate purpose I need this camera to send a photo of myself to IDMe.com to verify my identity for access to my records. Eventually, I would like to use the webcam for other seemingly useful options such as ZOOM and other teleconferencing software.

When I initiate OBS Studio, I can see ambient sounds being registered by the audio scale on the OBS window graphics. Even though I can see a direct response by the audio graphics, I see no video response by the OBS Studio program.

When I open the Logitech G HUB, I can see myself on screen within this software frame. Thanks Bo Granz [phone# removed from public] [email removed from public]

I'm trying to sign into/sync Firefox on a new phone. It keeps saying I need to get code from authenticator app. I don't have one! I try to scan IR code from computer, but it still requires a code. Sometimes it says it is sending a code to my email address. It does not. I ask it to resend code but it never does. I am logged into Firefox on my computer, is there a way to turn off the authenticator or otherwise solve this problem?

Until just a couple of days ago, I had been able to connect successfully with the Pinnacle Sports website dedicated for the exclusive use of customers based in Ontario Canada with my desktop computer while using the Firefox browser. For such customers, the Pinnacle Sports website requires the use of a WiFi internet connection and a GeoComply App. However, since then, I am no longer able to connect successfully with the Pinnacle Sports website with the Firefox browser, although I am still able to connect successfully with Microsoft Edge and Chrome, etc. Thus far, neither, Pinnacle Sports nor GeoComply App Support has been able to tellme what might have changed over the last few days with the Firefox browser, in order to bring this problem about, so I thought I might be able to get some help with this situation from Mozilla Firefox Support. Might you be able to identify the source of this recent problem? And, perhaps, provide a solution that will allow the use of the Firefox browser with the Pinnacle Sports website for customers based in Ontario Canada, moving forward? Thank you.

Hello everyone,

Please test with all versions of Firefox. I was able to reproduce this consistently even after a complete reinstall or reset. For this case, ESR was checked and surprisingly it stays online even when offline mode is used upon start using profile manager. For this, you can create a new profile and start the browser in offline mode and search something in address bar. At first, you will be greeted with an offline mode message but if you hit refresh then the browser becomes online and the search results are now available. This is not just related to search results but any websites.

Hope you guys can provide some info as this is really unexpected behavior.

Thank you and looking forward to your suggestions

Test specs: Windows 7-10/Linux/Ubuntu Firefox version: ESR 102.5.0/Standard 107.0

The minimum size of the Library panel has been getting larger and larger. It can no longer be resized so that it can be fully visible on the desktop when other windows are open to 1:1 size. The issue first started nine months ago. It was troublesome then, forcing me to use extra hand motions and mouse clicks just to get a fraction of a seconds worth of information.

In other words, Firefox has made it more difficult to retrieve important information that used to be available at a glance. I have determined that Firefox has rewritten their programming to intentionally do this to us. WHY?

Please make the Library Panel box fully resizable again. It is becoming a make or break issue for me. Stop tinkering around. You had perfection, now it is ruined. I do not want the window buried, partially obscured, or on top of any other window. It should have equal rights with other fully resizable elements.

I mention that I have an i7 laptop with a Windows 10 OS. Thank you.

For several months now, my main Yahoo mail tab and also individual email tabs within Yahoo close automatically. It sometimes happens when I'm opening an attachment or switching to another Firefox tab but most of the time it happens randomly

I've turned on the setting in Firefox to get notified before closing a tab and also tried pinning the Yahoo tab but the glitch still happens. I'm not using private mode.

I always have a non-private Firefox window open for use with my email. Ever since the latest Firefox updates went into effect a couple weeks ago, when I open a window in private browsing mode, a private-browsing icon appears in my task bar. Before the latest updates, there would be no extra icon in my task bar when I opened a private browsing window - instead i could get to the private window by hovering over the regular Firefox icon in my task bar. I want it to go back to that. It sort of defeats the purpose of "privacy" when my screen has an icon showing that I have a private browsing window open. Also, I don't like that extra clutter in my task bar.

I want to use my tablet for writing/drawing on some websites but the browser doesn't recognize the device. It computes the mouse on the "drawing" screen but not the tablet, and also computes using the pen for clicking and dragging, and/or the tablet as a touch-pad. The device works fine on chrome and on my drawing softwares, so it isn't a problem with the pressure sensors or driver. Tested disabling all addons and restarting Mozilla, but the problem remains. Mozilla is up to date, and I use W10 (also up to date).

Any advice?

It's more the recent frequency of this than the actual issue that's annoying.

I'll notice that when I open a new tab and go to a site, it just won't open. It spins and spins and nothing happens. My yahoo mail will also report that I'm disconnected from the internet. When this happens, I know exactly what to check - About Firefox and yup, it wants to restart for another update. Which I do and it fixes the problem.

I love Firefox. I use it exclusively for work so at any given moment, I have multiple windows on the go including tickets with time tracking. Having to interrupt everything, shut down all my windows and lose the tracked time is very frustrating. It feels like I had to do this more frequently recently than before.

Any advice would be appreciated, so I can continue working and do the update at the end of the day instead.
