Unable to install Trend Micro Toolbar extension for Firefox  v. 93.0 & v. 94.0 Encountering being redirected to " Oops! We cannot find that page" when the user clicked "Install Firefox toolbar"...

I have also reported this to Trend Micro and there reply was;

"This is XXXXXX from Trend Micro Consumer Support.

I understand that you want to install the Trend Micro Toolbar on your Firefox Browser. Let me help you with this.

As per our Expert Engineers, Currently, the Trend Micro toolbar for Firefox is still under maintenance. You may encounter being redirected to " Oops! We cannot find that page" when the user clicked "Install Firefox toolbar" They have advised customers to use a different browser temporarily. We are already coordinating with Mozilla Firefox to make it available as soon as possible."

Hi, I've just spent all day trying to follow all the different suggestions here regarding these issues. Adding all sorts of things to the userChrome CSS but 95% of the suggestions have no effect at all [I'm seriously non-technical, so I have no idea if I'm doing it correctly though...probably not] The only thing that I can change is the Tab Height...nothing else changes regardless of what numbers I put in there. The only way I've been able to make the Bookmarks folders usable at all is to enable Compact mode via about:config. But that actually makes it way too compact now...from one extreme to the other. At least it's usable now...so not the end of the world, but the right click menu still has way too much space between every entry [Compact mode made no difference to that at all]. I don't know how to make a screenshot of those menus :) so I took a couple of pics of the screen...can someone please show me what to add to the CSS file to make these ridiculously big spaces between the menu items way smaller...like they used to be before this Proton came in? I tried tons of things that people said to add to the CSS to fix this menu spacing thing but none of them changed anything. I'll include the CSS file that I have below. Thanks a lot

ps: for some reason the pics always come out sideways here

True or False? If this box is checked I can quit Firefox altogether which tabs still open, and those same tabs will automatically load again upon reopening Firefox.

Appearance background color issues in Windows 7, since v96.0

I have yet another issue to present that I am 100% certain that the developers bear 100% responsibility as a result of releases 96.0 and 96.01. There is a 0% margin for error on this assessment.

I am not presenting this issue because I require personal assistance. I haven’t done a damn thing wrong. I am presenting this issue, so that it would potentially get noticed by or forwarded to one of the developers, or by a user that happens to relay this issue to them.

I am using Windows 7. Therefore, I am uncertain if the issue extends to Windows 10 and 11. The issue does not affect the browser’s functionality.

In my Windows appearance settings, I have always chosen to have a pale yellow color for the background. It relieves the harshness of the white colored background when I am typing in Word for extended hours. I have had this setting for years and never altered it.

Since 96.0, they finally fixed the Bookmarks lag issue, which was pertinent to Windows 7 users. The Bookmarks issue began as of 92.0. I raised that issue as well, and called out the developers as being solely responsible for that. Unfortunately, whatever the developers did in the 96.0 and 96.01 updates, my pale yellow background setting is now appearing on specific websites that must have a clear background in some parts. In other words, those backgrounds used to appear as white on these specific websites. Here are two examples of commonly-used websites that now are displaying my background color setting instead of white. The NCAA football website and the BBC website.

https://www.ncaa.com/sports/football/fbs

https://www.bbc.com/news

As stated in my Bookmarks complaint, there is a blatant absence of any methodical thought process by its development team. They release far too many updates in any given year. Between the 96.0 and 96.0.1 was less than 24 hours. That’s how you know that these people are clueless what they are doing. Then you have this newly introduced issue as a result of fixing others as of 96.0. It’s a very sad state of affairs over at Mozilla. It appears to be a hopeless situation.

If I wanted my background appearance setting to appear on all websites, all I would have to do is set the “Override the colors specified by the page with your selections above” to “ALWAYS”. I have double checked the color settings in Firefox and confirm that my settings have not altered from default. The override… setting is set to “Only with high contrast themes” and the background color is set to white.

The issue that I just presented is 100% on the developers. Don’t even bother trying to challenge it. I was spot-on with the Bookmarks assessment on blame as well. I only provide accurate assessments on blame.

Here’s some advice for the Mozilla developers. Why not fix this issue and kindly spare us with any further updates for the remainder of the year. You people are doing a pathetic job.

This may be a Windows 7 issue only.

Hello,

I just got Nord VPN this past week. So far, it's been running great on my phone, but I'm having a problem on my PC. Whenever Nord VPN is active and I'm running Firefox, it runs very slow and several times has resulted in a BSOD that crashes and resets my whole PC. When I turn Nord off, everything's working normally again. I tried Google Chrome and everything has been working fine. However, Firefox is my preferred browser and I would prefer to be able to keep using it. Thanks so much for any help you can give!

I am trying to sign in to my Kirkus account but Firefox refuses to accept my name and password for the account. It insists I need to create a new account. Why?

Is it because I originally signed up with Kirkus via Google Chrome?

I am having a lot of problems with Firefox lately. Not being able to sign in to my bank accounts or to Pay Pal to pay bills.

This is so frustrating that I want to remove Firefox as my home browser. I truly don't know what you are doing now that you didn't do before. I have never had these problems in the past. Pamela J. Brink, RN, PhD Professor emerita

The minimize, restore and close window buttons don't work in Firefox 94. I can perform these operations other ways, such as pressing Ctrl+W, or double-clicking the title bar to restore. But the actual buttons don't work, even with all my add-ons disabled. They work in other profiles, just not my main one.

Has anyone heard of a problem like this before? (I'm on Windows 7 x64)

Yes, I know this is a Sanboxie issue and I wanted to ask Sandboxie support or in forums but, well, there isn't really any support or active forums. Any Firefox users have a suggestion?

Specifically, how would issues with IcmpCreateFile or 'iphlpapi.dll' effect Firefox? A fix would be even better!  :D

Sandboxie is generating the following errors when running Firefox in a sandbox on multiple computers. SBIE2303 Could not hook IcmpCreateFile (33, 1655) SBIE2318 DLL initialization failed for 'iphlpapi.dll'

No specific or severe issues are being detected but, after reading the descriptions of SBIE2303 and SBIE2318. The explanation of SBIE2318 for IP controls seems at least somewhat serious.

Firefox 94.0.1 (64-bit) ~ Windows 7 ~ No anti-virus except Windows Defender ~ No new extensions installed that haven't already been operating for weeks or longer.

Suddenly, after doing NOTHING except restarting my computer, my 'minimize', 'maximize', 'restore' and 'close' buttons are missing.

Any 'solutions' I've looked up talk about "Tablet Mode" (which I highly doubt I'm in) or other nonsense, the options for which either didn't exist when I opened suggested menus, or were simply techno-jargon-gobbledy-gook.

I doubt it's anything to do with Windows, since 'Waterfox', 'Microsoft Edge', 'Chrome' and other browsers all have their buttons intact.

When I opened Firefox in 'troubleshoot mode' the buttons were back. But nobody in those unhelpful 'help articles' said what to do after opening in troubleshoot mode, so I closed it, opened Firefox the usual way again, and the buttons were still missing.

Some logical, properly explained help would be greatly appreciated.

I want to change background color in Firefox from white to gray (because my eyes get tired of white)

I try to change it this way: Preferences -> Language and appearance -> Font -> Colors

But it does not work as expected on some complex web sites. All I want to do is to darken the background, but not to change color of other elenments (links, text, scrollbars).

Can I do it in Firefox ? How [Preferences -> Language and appearance -> Font -> Colors] works in Firefox? Perhaps, there is some "override css" for the entire browser?

Here is a question about Firefox and Windows. I need to be able to dictate because my typing is very poor because of Parkinson's disease. If I try to dictate into Roam Research using Firefox in combination with Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Firefox behaves oddly. If I dictated a line and hit return sometimes the line disappears, or sometimes the return makes it move down and then the crusir is positioned above the line just dictated, or sometimes, if the dictatiion exceeds the line lenght, the dictation is captured but you can't see it, although you can copy and paste it.Is there some problem with interaction of Dragon NaturallySpeaking and Firefox or of either of them with the RR notetaking app? This does not happen with Chrome. I prefer to be able to work in Firefox but it does not look possible . Is there anything you can do? Or advise me to do? I have installed the Dragon NaturallySpeaking professional plug-in extension for Firefox; might that be part of the problem? I can use Dragon dictation box and then copy and paste into Firefox, but that is not necessary in chrome. David Kolb
