So I was setting up Firefox and accidentally imported data from a different browser than I intended to and I don't know how to remove all the bookmark and auto fill that I had imported. I have tried deleting the Firefox file in window explorer and it didn't work. Is there anyway to completely wipe Firefox clean?

After the extended release was installed, did the 'Enhanced Tracking Protection' setting revert back to the default setting 'or' did the 'pre-selected setting' remain the same as before the update?

In settings when I am in security I have Firefox as my default search engine. When I go into the search tab it tells me Bing is. There is a drop down box to change it but Firefox is not an option. Help I am also unable to get into my xfinity email so please respond to, [removed email from public] Thx

weibo.com will not load on Firefox. I've tested it on Edge and Chrome and it loads on both. It uses a "sina passport" system, I assume to handle traffic from outside China and avoid DDOS attacks. The URL for this is passport.weibo.com. The issue with Firefox is that it never passes this check. The passport will continually refresh and never load the main website content, only serving a blank URL as it tries to enter the site.

I wrote to you earlier today about a problem i am having with themes.I change themes quite frequently and have a lot of them on my list. After opening and closing the browser once or twice the list of themes no longer shows what each theme looks like. I reset Firefox and the image of each theme reappears. It's quite tedious as i said to have to do this once or twice a day. Is this problem occurring because i have too many themes on the list?. I have turned off all other extensions and the same problem keeps happening. I don't know what to do.

Prior to getting some desktop PC upgrades that required a new install of Windows 11 and a new install of Firefox, I backed up my entire PC (yea!).

Now that I have re-installed Firefox, I see that I have none of my saved bookmarks and so I want to restore the Firefox profile - all of it or at least the bookmarks.

I have tried following the Firefox instructions for this, but am apparently not doing it right.

I can't seem to locate the bookmarks file, for starters, in my backed up files. I find the profile but I don't find anything like places.sqlite.

Can someone help me so that I am locating the right (and complete) files, copying them correctly, and then switching to the new/old profile correctly?

Recently, my FireFox has been acting a bit strange when it comes to playing videos. I am using a site called Udemy to watch a video course I'm taking, however, the videos don't seem to play for either a long time, or until I tab into YouTube and play a video there.

This issue is not only with Udemy however, as the YouTube videos also take longer than normal to start playing; It's not only at the start of the video either (whilst waiting for the video to fully load), It's all the time, between every pause I have to wait around 3-4 seconds before It actually start playing.

The issue is clearly something to do with videos but I find it very strange that playing a YouTube video forces my Udemy video to load.

It's been a real struggle trying to get todays course day done, since every time I pause the video I end up having to wait a while or go to YouTube and play a video to make it continue.

I've gone through all the basic troubleshooting recommended for video issues on here and other places: Turn of hardware encoding, lower security levels, enabling autoplay etc etc; absolutely no luck. I've tried disabling extensions one by one, disabling themes, running FireFox in troubleshoot mode, clearing all data/history/cookies/cache, making sure DRM-controlled content is enabled as well as trying it disabled. You name it, I feel like I've tried it at this point... Any suggestions are highly appreciated!

Another thing to add is Chrome isn't having this issue, neither is Safari.

I recently made a switch to Firefox and while I've been able to find solutions to all my problems, I'm struggling with this one. I use drag-and-drop to upload images really often and in my previous browser (Opera), after my images have been dropped into Discord for instance, the folder would be hidden behind the browser. Firefox does not do this however and stays focused on my folder which means I have to manually click inside Firefox to continue with my work. I was wondering if there was a way to make Firefox come back into focus after I drop images in the browser.

The free virgin.net email service was shut down without notice about 2 years ago so I can no longer receive the verification code to cahnge it in my Firefox account. Is there another method to change the email address registered with Firefox?

After the most recent update I have been having issues with the Youtube video playback. Upon loading a video it works fine, however once I click on the progress bar to skip to a certain point of the video, the video pauses, the progress bar tracker gets set to 0:00, the video starts buffering and I have to click 3-4 additional times on the specific time I want to skip forward to, in order for the video to even continue playing. I have restarted my PC, cleared cache and cookies, re-installed the browser and nothing works. Mind you, when trying to watch videos on either Edge or Chrome, there is no such issue and the progress bar works fine. I really do enjoy Mozilla, but if this keeps up I will have to change browsers it is bugging the hell out of me.

My Logitech Mouse(G600) hotkeys don't work when using Firefox.

Copy never works. Paste only works when I am hovering over Text Select.

Nearly all of the hotkeys that I have set, whenever pressed (including copy and paste) goes to wheel scroll icon. So I disabled autoscrolling.

I have tried a restart to no avail.

First, I am not tech savvy. I deleted my browsing history but, I see a new list of recently searched places. It is listed as Firefox suggests: then identifies my desktop and recently searched websites that are no longer needed. I want to be able to delete these tabs, or whatever they are called.

I encountered a Problem since the last update. When watching a Video on Youtube, the Playback is flashing, especially on green and red colors. I did see some People mention a similar issue years ago, so I followed the same troubleshooting by disabling Hardware acceleration and all extension. I had something like 7 windows open 10 minutes ago (yes I am a tab hoarder). I was trying to run a game that used a lot of RAM, so I decided that I would close ALL of my firefox tabs in hope that the game would run smoother with the 5gb that Firefox was using. I didn't think anything of losing the tabs because I had accidentally closed windows in the past using the big red 'x', and an easy ctrl + shift + t always restored the entire window no problem. When I tried to open firefox again within the next 5 minutes, only 3 of the windows restored themselves, I assume using the general > startup > open previous windows and tabs setting. Using Ctrl + Shift + T did nothing to restore them. Please help, as the windows that did reopen were the ones that I cared the least about.

I'm belarusian and I'm using belarusian, polish and english languages on internet, also I have somehow russian language??? I can't delete It from my language preferences, how can I delete russian language from my language settings fully?

My previous version of Firefox was on the fritz and I was afraid there was malware in it so I uninstalled it. When I reinstalled it I realized all my bookmarks were missing and I can't figure out how to restore them from my profile or a previous backup. Please help! Thank you.

I tried to activate my firefox account on my new laptop. I also tried to add this new computer to firefox sync. The system shows me, that I am logged in with both my old and new computer After entering the password I am told that firefox account will sent me an e-mail to verify the account. I am told that I will receive a code at my e-mail address. The stored e-mail address is correct. I am told that the e-mail has been sent to my e-mail address. I have tried to receive an e-mail from my old computer as well. Whatever I do even after I added accounts@firefox.com into my contacts. I still don´t receive any e-mails with verification codes or links to verify my e-mail address. I really don´t know what else to try. I did not find any support adresses for firefox in europe. Please can anybody help.
