Hi!

I can't scroll with the mouse wheel in Firefox. It works fine in other browsers and programs.

If I switch to Safe Mode, the scrolling wheel works. But if I switch back to normal mode, the wheel does not work again.

I tried to switch off and switch on "Use autoscrolling" and "Use smooth scrolling" settings, but it didn't help.

Unfortunately, "Refresh Firefox…" and reinstalling browser completely did not help.

I am at a loss, please help.

Since the new update on February 14, 2023 I can open ancestry.ca, update my trees but I cannot see my dna matches. I have contacted Ancestry and they said that since the Firefox update, there has been an issue - they said to clear my cache and see if that helps. I did - it didn't - they said to try another browser - I did - it works in Google Chrome but I don't like google chrome - I like Firefox. Please help.

Hello, I've noticed a change since the last update and don't understand why?

When opening the bookmarks tab I would get the drop down of a long list of links I have saved. I sometimes bunch them into groups so when looking down the long list, I can see the link I want better when more than one are from the same website.

But my issue is that when I went through the list and found that group of links, I could click onto one to open the page. In the past before the update I could click on the bookmarks drop down again, and still see the same area of links I had just clicked on.

Now when the bookmarks drop down closes it defaults to the top of the list and I need to scan down to find the links I was looking at again. Why? Yes when I closed the browser off and reopened it the bookmarks list would start at the top again. But if left opened I could click on the bookmarks tab and it would open to the same link area I clicked onto last.

Is there a way in settings I can reverse this annoying, unnecessary change.

A word to the Firefox workers that like changing things for no reason. I use Firefox because I like the things your browser has that the others don't. Keep taking the little things away that people like, which you seem to keep doing, then my favourite browser will just become "The same old s#*@" like all the others.

All of my extensions just got moved into a single new extension button. I understand this feature was just added to 109 but is quite terrible.

I can no longer see my extensions on the toolbar. I now have to do even more clicks to access certain options or settings. Which is dumb as it now takes longer to get where you need to go.

This is a terribly added feature. Not sure how this passed. The quality of life is not improved in any shape or form with this. Only makes things worse.

For example. I have norton safe web and search. I now have to click on the extension button to see if a page is safe or now have to do multiple clicks to access that extension.

This new feature is terrible and I really hope it is reverted.

Why are bookmark folders resetting to the top each time they're used? Instead of the folder holding it's place, it now goes back to the top of the folder. So if I used a bookmark that was midway down a folder, and I want to use the bookmark directly below it next, I have to scroll down the folder back to it, instead of the folder holding its place. Why? And how can I make it stop? Thanks.

Hello everyone,

Prior to this 110.0 release, every time I would access my Bookmarks menu, it would remember where in the list I last left off, and I could return to that section of the list next time. Now, if I go all the way to the bottom of my Bookmark list, next time FF returns me to the top of the list, and I have to scroll down again. Anyone know how to fix?

I just updated to Firefox 110.0 and now I'm having a problem with my bookmarks. Previously, if I selected a bookmark website that was...say, half way down my list of bookmarks, the next time I went to my bookmarks it would start where I last left it (or in this example, half way down the list). Now, whenever I go to my bookmark list, it ALWAYS starts back at the top and I have to scroll down to get to where I last was. I have a tendency to bookmark multiple sites for me to go back to and check out but now I have to scroll through ALL of my bookmarks to get to the bottom to pull the site up...check it out and see if there is any useful info there, then go to the next site. Now I have to scroll all the way from the top again to get to the bottom (or wherever I was last). Is there a way to make the bookmarks default to how they used to be (starting when you return to the last bookmark you left off at)?

Starting yesterday, for some reason when I access my bookmarks, I have to start from the very top of all my lists of bookmarks. In the past when I accessed a bookmark, and then a clicked on the bookmark tab to access ANOTHER bookmark, my bookmark list would show where I had left off from the previous bookmark within that list.

Now when I access a another bookmark after I had accessed a previous bookmark, my bookmark list starts from the very top of it instead of where I was previously within that bookmark list. Being I have many bookmarks, (100's) it is a real pain to have to constantly scroll down from the top of my bookmark list every time to access another bookmark. I didn't have to do this previously. When I accessed bookmarks AFTER I accessed a given bookmark, the bookmark list stayed where I was previously located within my bookmark list. This made it easy to access my next bookmark selection! It sure is handy being all the hundreds of bookmarks I have, to have the list not ALWAYS revert back to the top of my bookmark list every time I want to find a bookmark!

This peculiar situation just started yesterday. In the past this would NOT happen when I accessed my bookmarks.

Looking at the bookmark manager and bookmark library I don't see options the change how the bookmark list is presented?

Can someone please help me and explain how do get back my old bookmark list actuation process? Thank you.

I've noticed that every time I open a new tab and go to open my little Bookmark menu with the Star icon for the toolbar, the drop down menu will automatically be scrolled to the very top of the menu, where previously it would stay in the same place as before across all tabs. Is there a way to disable the menu from going back to the top for multiple tabs?

Firefox logging me out of all sites when I "delete history"

Hello,

this problem started happening around 3 or 4 days ago.

Usually, at the end of the day or before I close Firefox, I "delete browsing history" BUT only the "today" history. I know it's a weird habit (lol), but at least it logs me out of all recent browsing while keeping my sessions with older websites active (typically these older websites include stuff that I use frequently like Outlook, Google/Youtube, Twitter & other social media, Spotify, and a few other sites).

The other reason I do this is that I like my "recent history" to be ordered the way I like, so I can use it kind of like a "bookmark list".

The problem: Since about 4 days ago, each time I "delete history", ALL my accounts are signed out. Note that I don't have the option to delete cookies upon closing checked, and whenever I close Firefox without deleting history the sessions appear to be active.

I think 3 or 4 days ago there was a Firefox update? I remember at the time I was shown the extra tab with the release notes, but I didn't pay much attention. However when I noticed the issue, which was the day after, I assumed it was a new feature of the update that caused all these websites not to recognise my browser and thus ask me to log in again.

So just before going to bed, I tried 1) clearing my history for the day as I usually do, except 2) instead of closing directly after, I would go to the sites I want to remain logged in (in this case I just did Outlook, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, Tiktok and Spotify), log into my accounts, and then close the browser.

So the following day, it worked "as usual"... almost... that is because when I deleted my history of the day, it logged me out of everything again. But in the "recent history" list, it showed the updated list (with the websites I re-logged into the day before).

So I can't guess what is happening, other that something is messing with my cookies each time I delete history. I even went to check manually to see if I still had the session cookies stored in Firefox and it appears to be the case.

Yesterday I also tried logging into a Google, waiting a few hours, and only deleting the history of the past hour, but the same thing happens, I instantly get logged out.

Additional info: when I "delete history" I only check the first five options (those under history) and not the lower two (under data).

Thanks for your help, and sorry for my English !

Hi!

I'm struggling to reach the "https://accounts.firefox.com" website. Problem arose when I reinstalled windows, but I have the same issue on my phone.

--- System info: Windows 10 x64 professional Firefox version: 110.0 64-bit Phone info: Samsung galaxy s7 ---

The first error code I got was: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_KEY_PINNING_FAILURE

Fixes that have been tried: 1. a) Turning off firewall + antivirus. Did not work. b) Making sure time + date are correct. Did not work. c) Making sure there are no pending windows (or other) updates. Did not work.

2. Problem due to https being forced. Disabled https forcing in about:config and tried accessing http://*. Did not work.

3. Old firefox version suggested. Did not work.

4. Someone said SSL_root setting needed to be changed in about:config. Did not work. But it did give a new error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

5. Reinstall after every fix. Did not work.

6. All fixes combined at some point. Did not work.

7. Haven't even tried to fix the phone issue.

Help.

I have recently become unable to login to some online accounts with Firefox, having not encountered problems before. I'm using Windows 10 64 bit, and the most recent version of Firefox. My login details are correct, as I can login to these accounts using Microsoft Edge with the same ID and password. With Firefox, clicking on "sign in" after my details are entered results in nothing happening. I just remain stuck on the sign in page. This is also the case with some other sites - eg certain online petitions. There, it isn't necessary to login, but clicking "sign" on the petition results in no action. Again, there's no problem if I use Edge. Can anyone help, please? Thank you in advance.

I have found no option under Settings for controlling how headers and footers appear in printed web pages accessed via Firefox. Yet clearly there is some way to control this matter, for some headers and footers appear, over which I have no control. Could you kindly advise me how to control the header and footer settings, so that every time I print a webpage in PDF, I will know exactly when, where and which site I accessed, as well as other relevant information? Many thanks.

Also your company still has not corrected the problems with updates in Firefox. I have my browser set to notify me of updates, and to allow me to install them at my discretion. However when I indicate that I want them to be installed, they do NOT install immediately, but only after multiple closures and reopenings of FIrefox. You need to address the problem here, about which many users have commented, yet on which you have still not acted. Many thanks here as well.
