I have reset Firefox as default browser on my Windows 11 PC a hundred times in the past few months. Today, I could not reset it at all -- I click the default button in Windows 11 and as soon as I close that settings window, it disconnects. I've run out of things to try to fix this. I think it MIGHT be related to Norton 360, because I first notice this problem when I opened Norton.

This is from Cabelas.com but I am getting it more and more from other web sites. American Airlines, Delta.com, etc. I accessed the help and did all the steps about fingerprinting and turning off "enhanced tracking protection" and nothing helps. Any ideas? Don't like the idea of using Chrome or Edge, but Firefox is almost unusable for me now. If I have to keep using another browser for the sites, may as well just use that one only.

Paypal for instance. I don't save the password, I type it in each time, but now it insists on sending me an SMS in addition
My guess is that FF is deleting some cookies that I'd rather it didn't. What can I do?

Youtube webpages won't load properly after saving. They start to load but then switch to a white page. I need to be able to save a video's webpage to save links and other information for later viewing. This started happening on any computer 2 or 3 months ago. I'm thinking that youtube did something that causes the saving of their webpages to be messed up. Youtube webpages display fine on youtube.com but saving their webpages doesn't work anymore.

A user I am servicing uses Firefox every day. They are on Windows 11. Every afternoon (sometimes at other times), Firefox stops working and loses its internet connection (everything else on their computer continues to be connected). When they close and restart Firefox to reconnect, it then tells me the user that they are using an old profile and need to create a new one. They're able to re-log into their Firefox account, which eventually resyncs all their data, but they then have to re-sign into everything, which is a major inconvenience. The only workaround the I have found is to reinstall Firefox, ever time this happens which then allows the user to use all their settings until they have to repeat the process the next day (i.e., everything remains signed in and/or logging back in is easier than described above).

I cannot locate a backup file which is supposedly saved automatically and the appearance of a folder on my desktop titled "old Firefox data" doesn't help resolve the situation. Proposed solution: "I believe you also need to go into Tools -> Settings -> General and set the Action for the types of downloads (Applications) to Always Ask for those types you want it to."
But this workaround should not be needed. "Always ask" means always ask. As in always. No other additional steps should be needed.
Can you folks please open a bug to get this fixed? This used to work just fine in (much) older versions of Firefox and Netscape. "Always ask" is supposed to mean always ask. Like, always.

I cannot log into Facebook with my Firefox browser. Even though the username and password are entered correctly, the login freezes and I cannot proceed. I am able to access the site on other devices. On my laptop, I deleted all cookies, history, and cache as recommended. I am able to log in to Instagram on this device. Coincidental to this problem: when I try to view video on newyorktimes.com, the browser freezes. I cannot view content in other open tabs and must reboot the browser.

I am currently experiencing a very frustrating issue with Firefox. I have been using it for many years, and it has always been my preferred and most comfortable browser for my daily work. I depend on it heavily, as all my bookmarks and other important information are stored there.
Over the past few weeks, Firefox has been crashing more than ten times a day. I have already tried all the troubleshooting steps suggested in forums and through AI-based support, but none of them have resolved the problem. I also attempted to install and use the Firefox Beta version, but the issue still continues.
In our environment, other users and devices are not encountering this problem, so it does not appear to be related to internal firewall or antivirus restrictions.
Could you please assist me in troubleshooting this issue? I have attached the error screen that appears after the crash along with the crash report for your reference.
No reports shows on about:crashes
