I logged into my Firefox Sync account last week on a newly re-imaged computer. My old computer is listed under "Connected Services" and for the first few days, when I selected "Sync" from the top right menu, the subsequent menu included the name of the the old computer and the list of tabs. That list of tabs is no longer listed and I haven't been able to find a way to access it. Attached is an image of the menu where the list of tabs was previously listed. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I set up a primary password, then closed out of everything to make sure it worked. When I reopened the browser, everything was still logged in. I was prompted to enter the primary password, but bypassed it by x-ing out.

How can I stop everything from staying logged in? I want the passwords saved, but not everyone on the computer to be able to use them without some sort of log-in (in the browser, due to how software is set up we all use the same user account on the computer).

Using my Outlook a/c in Firefox I have a problem with the slider bar RH side. It is far too thin in width for the mouse pointer to lock onto to slide it up/down. This is NOT the case in Goggle Chrome or MS Edge where it is much wider EVERYTIME & works well. Another example of buggy Firefox, NOT so with Chrome/Edge as 5 IT Depts have told me not to use Firefox for bug reasons. Anyone know how to fix this myself or how to contact Firefox to tell them to fix it.

Hi,

I’m writing you as a very annoyed, frustrated and seriously pissed off user.

I’m a senior lecturer at De Montfort University, Leicester, and have been using Mozilla since 2020/21 on my university account, since I don’t want Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge is user-unfriendly shit. Now, my Mozilla account was registered via DMU (technically set up by the university’s ITMS) to run as my default browser, which opened automatically logged-in and ready to go each time I started the computer. This is how it has worked for the last four years and through many, many updates… until yesterday.

Since the last update on Monday, May 19th, all my access records, settings and bookmarks have been completely wiped off. In fact, it appears that my university-registered account has been wiped in its entirety. Strangely, Mozilla Firefox is still my default browser but only opens with a standard default window. More importantly, I was no longer able to log into my account, as if my account no longer exists… which also means that all my bookmarks and links to important websites within DMU and externally have all disappeared. It will take me at least 1 week (if I focus on nothing else) to find and restore them.

So, how was such a car crash of an update actually possible? Please note that ITMS at DMU is placing the blame and responsibility of this fuckup squarely on you. Furthermore, why was this update actually necessary? Mozilla Firefox was until yesterday a far superior browser in terms of user-friendliness and style compared to Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Apple Safari. Now it’s little more than a cheap, equally flawed Microsoft Edge copycat both in style and user-unfriendliness!

But even worse, I now find out that Mozilla like all those "revolutionary, democratizing" tech companies cannot even be bothered to be accessible for contact when in need for support. Anyway, I would like to know how your update could wipe out my account and all the bookmarks just like that, as if they never existed in the first place. And how do I get my my original settings back?

Very disappointing.

Regards,

Markus
