The designers seem to be intent on making this as painful as possible. You'd think you could just open them, at least in text form. Wasn't that possible before? I can in Notepad if I want to look at hundreds of pages of gibberish that would take days to copy and paste over. In my updated Firefox it offers a Restore function but to do that I have to wipe out all my existing Bookmarks. Who dreams of this stuff? Why would anyone sane want to do that?

I imported my bookmarks from an HTML file but they are not showing even after I close and restart the browser. Where are my bookmarks? And furthermore, your instructions for importing them in the first place did not work for me because the sequence and pictures did not match what I saw in my browser. I played around with it until I found the import part. And yet, no bookmarks.

The last time I downloaded your update, I think it was in May, 2022, you apparently downloaded the version for Windows 10. It would not work with my windows 7. By the time I got it fixed I had lost ALL my bookmarks, history, etc. Now you are offering the latest download, I believe it is July. I am afraid to download it for fear I might lose all my bookmarks again. Can I just ignore the download. I DO NOT want to go to Windows 10 or 11. I am 95 years old and I like to stick to what I know. What is the situation with you and Windows 7 at this time? Are you no longer offering it? Thanks for your help. You may e-mail me at memawplus@gmail.com PS Even though I supposedly had backed up my bookmarks they would not download to the newest Firefox. I have had Firefox since Firefox 1.0 (October 2004). In fact I still have the original instruction manual and the disk. If you have any need for that for your library I would be happy to send it to you. (In case you couldn't figure it out, I am a string saver). Marjorie Rogers

Hi,

I updated to the newest version this morning and found that it has delete all my bookmarks and delete all my saved data including login and password details to all the websites i use.

This is extremely annoying and makes me now not want to use your software. I got no warning about this, and it did not ask me to back up my data.

Tonight I performed a computer upgrade (on Ubuntu Studio) that included the latest Firefox version, and it has lost all of my bookmarks and my passwords and I guess lot of other stuff, too.

I can't find any way of restoring them. It will not even recognize the presence of the presence of the other browsers on my system, to import browsers from them.

I need help.

I can't even check my bank account, now.

I'm upset, and I think I have a right to be.
