Here's the problem: when I try to play a Youtube or other video in Firefox, the sound cuts out after 1 second. Then silence.

I have tried everything. I updated drivers. I tried fixing sound in the sound settings. Nothing works.

This seems only to be a problem with the HDMI output, as it seems fine when I use Bluetooth. However, it is only a problem with Firefox, because it works fine in Chrome and Edge.

So I've noticed recently that Firefox, or rather more specifically, Noscript, seems to think a lot of things are XSS attempts, which had never been the case before, leading me to think these are false positives. I've had no luck in undoing anything that was blocked, as mentioned in another thread. I'm trying to figure out if resetting Firefox would be a good idea. My problem is that one of my extensions is directly tied to my antivirus program, so my question is basically this; would the extension be able to be turned back on as is, or would I have to reinstall the antivirus program to get it back? I've never seen it come up in a basic search for add-ons without it. So it sounds like I'd have to reinstall it. Can anyone confirm this? If so, I'll have to wait a day or two to get this reset done.

Alternatively, I'm debating just deleting the current cookies and the like from the browser. Would this be a better alternative to a full on refresh/reset of Firefox?

The Firefox Community here has tried to be very helpful with all the users who hate the changes in Version 89/90, but we need Mozilla/Firefox to hear us.

CSS work-arounds are fine for the IT-literate, which I am not. They are also only temporary. We have no indication that FF is even paying attention to our complaints.

They need to understand that some users have a keyboard and mouse attached to a PC, not a touchscreen like on a pad or phone. It looks like FF wants to cater to touchscreens. This DOES NOT WORK for PC users.

I suggest one UI for touchscreens and a different one for PCs. IIRC, there is a FF version for Windows AND a different one for Apple; why not do the same?

Nobody seems to have any response other than "use this CSS fix." I've also been directed to "clean up the help platform myself" - huh?

Can we please get SOME kind of response from the platform itself? Or are they just trying to get rid of all users without touchscreens?

Firefox 89 has changed notification of FF updates so that it's no longer easily possible to find out what's changed in the update. Which means it's more difficult to find out what changes have been made and if it's worth the bother of updating. After an update is downloaded there's yet another popup re: restarting. How about going back to--notifying people of an update and no longer nagging at them until they do and then nagging people to restart their machines? Why become more & more like the corporate nannies, microsoft & google?

I also don't like that FF, which supposedly values user privacy, requires people to set up either a crowdcity account or use a pre-existing account (such as Facebook, twitter, et al) to provide feedback re: firefox. Since when does social media maintain privacy? And the more accounts you have to set up, the more likely that one of them will get hacked. I don't rarely use social media (may look at twitter accounts for traffic information, etc., but don't have a twitter account, etc) and don't have a FB account. I am tired of being required to set up yet another account--particularly since FF provides no information re: Crowdcity's privacy polices and if FF has actually verified any claims that Crowdcity makes regarding

Seems like FF doesn't want feedback from all users only some of them.

Is it possible to return to say FF version 80?

Hello. I'm a tester and just starting to write autotests. I use python, selenium.

The case is simple - you need to open the page and click on the button for a pop-up with fields for registration to appear. Here's the whole test function: def auth_user(self):

   wd = self.wd
   wd.delete_all_cookies()
   try:
       close_town_pop_up = wd.find_element_by_css_selector('#app > div.overlay-wrapper > div > button').click()  #закрываем поп-ап с городами
   except ex.NoSuchElementException:
       pass
   time.sleep(1)
   try:
       auth_button = wd.find_element_by_css_selector('.SideToolbarContainer > div:nth-child(1) > div:nth-child(1) > div:nth-child(1) > div:nth-child(1)').click()   #нажимаем на кнопку входа
   except ex.ElementNotInteractableException or ex.NoSuchElementException:
        auth_button = wd.find_element_by_css_selector('#app > div.body__header > header > div > div.LowerPanelsContainer > '
                                                     'div > div.LowerPanelItem.LowerPanelItem--login > div > div > a > span.HeaderButtonIcon > svg').click()  #нажимаем на кнопку входа при адаптивной вёрстке
   time.sleep(2)
   input_phone = wd.find_element_by_css_selector('input#authorizer-input-username') #ищем элемент, чтобы кликнуть
   input_phone.send_keys('***********')   #передаём номер телефона в поле
   input_password = wd.find_element_by_css_selector('input#authorizer-input-password') #ищем элемент, чтобы кликнуть
   input_password.send_keys('****') #передаём пароль в поле
   time.sleep(2)
   press_auth_button = wd.find_element_by_class_name('AuthorizerForm__submit').click() # нажимаем на кнопку авторизации
   time.sleep(9)

When I run the test in chrome, opera - the test passes, the user is authorized.

When executing the test in FF (version 89.0.1 (64-bit)) - problem with the login button (auth_button). At first I thought I needed some kind of delay - added webdriverwait. After it didn't work - thought the button locator was not located. I started katalon with the recorder and also tried selenium IDE for FF - the locator was located, the login button itself is highlighted, but not clicked. After that, I already started looking at what was happening in the called browser. It seems that the browser is launched with JS turned off - no any pop-ups are opened. No errors or JS messages are dropped into the console. I go into the settings of the called browser - there is no need to disable the JS checkbox. The elements for the HeaderButton do not have an event, but when the browser is normally launched, the event is labeled on the HeaderButton element. Use geskodriver v.0.29.1 Please help me understand what is wrong in the FF browser caused by autotests?

I have a <select> which is inside a <div> that works as a dropdown triggered by a hover. When I move the cursor over the <select> list, it collapses the <div> that contains it making it impossible to interact with it. On top of that, the list looks customized, but I keep experiencing the same if I remove the CSS that customizes the <select>.

I'm very confused because this is an issue I've been experiencing only in Firefox.

Just hover on the text that says "BONKUS: a geometric..." and then click on the buttons that say "Black" or "Left". site https://www.herzbergdesign.com/bonkus

Is it there anything faulty with my code or is it the browser?

If someone could give me a hint on what the issue is that would be highly appreciated.

No website entered into the address bar works. Neither does trying to access anything by entering about:xxxxx (although about:support Keyboard shortcuts to access the same settings menus do not work either. This problem happened suddenly tonight. The back and forward arrows also don't work (although Troubleshooting Information came up when I selected it from the Help menu).

Edge and Chrome work just fine. I have tried deleting the cache, launching Firefox in safe mode, creating an alternate profile, refreshing Firefox, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, deleting the folders manually and reinstalling, deleting/reinstalling in Windows safe mode, rolling back Windows updates (one update had installed today; I tried rolling back several updates just in case), removing Firefox from the allowed apps in my firewall software (AVG Antivirus), and completely disabling AVG Antivirus.

Hi. For some strange reason when I moved my computer and printer into another room, when I print a document from the internet, the printing has been reduced to about a quarter of the size. If I print something from word or excell it prints fine. I can't see that moving it has cause this, but I have tried everything I know to put it right. I've restarted the printer tried different settings but nothing seems to work. Can anyone please help? thanks Malcolm Bramhall

The last couple of days I've noticed that spellchecker is not working very well with Facebook comments. It seems to sometimes want to check only part of a word or do other strange things. I THINK it is only for the comments; it seems to be working ok when I write a post. Facebook is the only site where I've noticed an issue. Is this something that Facebook has done, or has an update to Firefox caused something to go wrong?

I have pulled up my about: config page for "spell" and am attaching a screenshot.

Thank you.
