So recently whenever I search for something, for example "recipe" and click search, on the results page the search bar will cycle through greyed out suggestions for "recipe" examples like "recipe for chicken" etc, if you decide you want to search for something else entirely like "restaurant" clicking the search bar will auto-fill whatever it is suggestion, I know it seems like a little annoyance and it is but it's rather frustrating. I've turned off search suggestions and anything with "auto-complete/fill" in the name but it still happens. I tried seeing if other browsers do it and it only happens on firefox

Sometimes after a few hours of browsing, some tabs in Mozilla will keep loading forever, every attempt to refresh or retrying to open new tabs also fail. However, when I opening the new tabs beside the tab that loading forever, the tab will loading just fine.

After I try to Open in new tab for several times, the dead tabs that forever loading will create a pattern of 1 dead tab with 7 or 8 Tabs that load just fine without error. It also happened in the safe mode too.

Every attempt from clean reinstall also didn't fix the problem.

Is this a mozilla bug, is there a fix to this bug?

Thank you very much, and sorry for my bad english...

I have at least 4 (four) different sets of bookmarks which I want and I need to hold separately. Example: Professional and private use.

Because it is not possible to manage multiple firefox profiles (aka independent sets of bookmarks) with one firefox account, I created multiple firefox accounts.

Because it is not possible to create multiple firefox accounts with one email address, I created multiple email aliases (thanks god to my email provider who supports this). For each firefox account one email alias. Even for describing this situation and finally asking my quenstion here, I created a new email alias.

( Side note: Even this firefox account with which I am writing these lines right now got not registrated successful. After creating it and entering the received verfication code 1. The browser window got stuck 2. After the login Mozilla tells me, that this account is not valid (or something like that) )

Because I have to pay for each email alias and because I don't want to polute my email-alias-namespace, I delete the email alias after successful registrations and verification. This works pretty fine for all kind of forums and communities -> Except for the firefox accounts.

Because a verification code was sent to my not anymore existing email alias, when I tried to login into my private firefox acount after some time of absence, the login was declined.

Because the login was declined, I recreated the email alias to receive a new verification code.

Because the last email with a verification code sent from Mozilla to my email alias got back to Mozilla, Mozilla does NOT send me a new verification code again, instead it is asking me, if the email address (alias) is correct: IT IS CORRECT. If I choose "send again" Mozilla AGAIN tells me, that the email (previuosly sent) got back. SO IT DOES NOT EVENT TRY TO SEND A NEW VERIFICITION CODE.

This is fucking annoying.

So here are my quenstions: - How to reactivate my firefox account which got tagged by mozilla to have a wrong email address? - When will it be possible to have multiple firefox accounts with one email address? - Or, alternatively: When will it be possible to manage multiple sets of bookmarks with one firefox account?

The latest Firefox (80.0.1) doesn't recognize or allow installation of the add-on (amba_5.1.0.13_win--1548386245064.exe) to be able to view my security camera (Foscam FI9928P). Prior to the update, I was able to access the camera just fine. Now I have to use Chrome or IE to be able to view camera web interface.

I am not sure what the Mozilla folks changed, but it really stinks to not be able to use FFox with my security cameras.

Firefox 80.0.1 keeps running in the background, eating up my dial-up speed. This happened after loading this latest version. When starting a new session, I let the pre-fetching stop, and then browse. This used to work well, but not anymore.

Before 80.0.1 came out, you folks had me eliminate some pre-fetching which worked well with earlier versions, but I can find nothing on-line about this new version and what is causing it. It starts periodically during a session, and then stops, and starts again, seemingly at random. With a dial-up, this is almost unusable. Any ideas?

Hallo, I often use the 'Restore previous session'-button as I wasn't able to finish my work / reading all the stuff of the day. Some tabs I kept reopening with that function over weeks.

Unfortunately, my son opened up Firefox for searching some school info and closed it afterwards. So I cannot restore 'my' session and would have to search the history of weeks to find one quite important article. Is there a possibility of finding somewhere a sort of cache of the so-called 'pre-previous session'??? It'd quite important to me, thank you in advance for a short answer!

Best Regards Stefan.

When going into a folder in the library and I sort by date, for example, it selects the first item and then sort, which means I'm now somewhere in the middle of the whole folder. I believe to have seen a config entry somewhere to get rid of this nonsense behavior, but can't seem to find it.

Anyone an idea?

I hadn't updated my TiddlyWiki (TW) files for a while before accepting the latest update and when trying to save from within TW today, the download failed to complete with the name I had assigned to it, rather than the one generated by FF. I found that it was possible to download the file with the name assigned by FF, then rename manually, but not sure if this qualifies as a bug.

While it was previously supported, I was using the TiddlyWiki for Firefox extension but since the extension became incompatible with FF and was disabled (last year?), until today's experience, TW and FF have played nicely together.

I have tried the 'refresh Firefox' feature multiple times and changed the name of the PREFS.JS file - but no matter what I try, when I first open Firefox it opens a blank 'New Tab' instead of my homepage.

When I have done the refresh and PREFS.JS clear, the first time I open Firefox it works fine. But as soon as I close the browser, I am back with only getting the blank NEW TAB on launch - and this is driving me nuts.

The only thing that I have NOT tried is a full uninstall of Firefox and deleting any and all remaining files, then doing a fresh installation. However doing so would cause me some issues with the dozens of sites that require passwords (which I am not sure I remember them all). I DID do an export of my bookmarks but that is all.

Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue?

It seems so simple. You're reading a page and run into a link you want to read later. You use the standard Control+Click to load it in a background tab leaving your present reading uninterrupted. But more and more often you're taken to the new tab immediately which means you are not only interrupted from your present reading but have to remember to go back to where you were (not a habit when you're used to opening in background tabs and closing them cleanly when finished) and find where you where on what may be a multi-page document. Often tens of pages. Wasted time.

Is there any way of making Control+Click work properly? One sure fire but more long winded way is to right click and hit T. That seems foolproof.

My Yahoo email for the most part is fine. But, I am having a lot of difficulty when I type replies to emails I have. When I have to correct something in my text, I keep getting the blue lines that cover the existing text and want to cancel some of the text I have already done. As soon as I move the cursor to another part of the text, the blue line covering will cancel everything there after and I don't want that to happen. Not sure why this is occurring. I didn't have this peculiar problem before hand. It's just typing replies to emails has become a real pain, and I'm not sure why? Can anyone help with my Yahoo email? Frankly, trying to contact Yahoo itself is really not a option as they usually don't reply to problems. So, I hope Firefox may have a have a solution? Thank you.

From two hours seems Firefox lost all saved access to my favourite sites, forums and so on... Checking saved ones I found my new enemy: Lockwise... It wants me to set a principal password (which I never had before), so patiently I followed instruction to set ANOTHER USELESS password I will forget in 10 minutes... but... Once I type a safe password, and confirm this password, an annoying message pop-up and tell me that: "Impossible to change the password"... @#!"$)(%R?!" I never had it, why would you change it? You have to set it? Why it doesn't do it?

Note: I already have a Firefox account and, yes, I made login, and Yes! Sync is working properly, I can login and see saved accesses on my mobile.

MOREOVER: every few minutes I have a despicable pop-up which requires me to set THAT password! And if I try, it tells me it's impossible to set!

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGhhhhh!

Thanks to who can help... I'm going to launch something through the window... >_>

In Firefox version 81 Blackboard will not display the courses properly on courses page see attached screen shot "Firefox problem.png".

Note that when I zoom out from 100% to 67% the second course description shows up see "Firefox problem Zoom out to 67 percent.png".

Also at the bottom right of both of the screen shots a dialogue symbol with a question mark is displayed, I am wondering if that particular coding or its placement is somehow causing the conflict. In addition if I click on that dialogue symbol with a question mark, it takes me to Blackboard's help which does not give me any guidance to resolve that issue.

Please help
