Hello! I have a lot of PDFs on my computer, and every time I go to look at them, my browser immediately views it in "automatic zoom" and with the sidebar expanded. Is there a way to disable these features? I find myself fixing all the PDFs to "actual size" and closing the sidebar, and not only does it take a lot of time, but it doesn't save my preference once I've closed and reopened it! Please let me know if there's a setting I can disable to fix this issue. Thanks!

I recently had to reinstall Firefox. I made sure that settings etc were backed up in my Mozilla account, but I didn't realise that my custom search engines had not been backed up. I have about 20 of these custom search engines for work, so it was a pain to re-apply all of these. It's done now, but I'd like to know if there is a way to back these up for a quick restore on a reinstall?

There is no 'Search Engines' option in my Sync settings.

I don't know what to say. One day I had one row of frequently visited icons below the search bar in the middle of the page and the next day, they were gone. Any help, greatly appreciated.

My understanding for profile feature was that bookmarks, user preferences were seperated. However my Pinned websites on my work profile in my work computer is synced to my personal profile at personal computer.

Is there a way to avoid this or is this unavoidable when using the sync function.

I was prompted to do an update today and it erased all my bookmarks. I have a saved bookmark file that is a JSON file type but it won't let me import that b/c it's not HTML. I have a lot of saved bookmarks for work and really need to get them back.

Video's from https://abc7.com do not play. It's the only site this happens to. I don't know how to fix it. Win11. PC.

How to set Firefox to retain Login credentials for a website, so I do not have to validate every time I sign in. For example: When logging on to Chase Bank, United Airlines, etc. I have to validate my identity every time I log in, even though I have previously asked website to remember me. Previously, I did not have to do this.

I am trying to log into a "http" website forum, of which I am a member and I am unable to do so, I think due to my Mozilla and or DuckDuckGo "Settings". If at all possible, I would like to reset my browser settings, so that I am able to rejoin this forum. A step by step reply would be much appreciated, because I am not a fluent user/programmer! This is the "Error" that I am consistently being shown: "Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to www.motoscrubs.com:80. All my bookmarks and history were erased when Focus was (automatically) installed. Same with passwords generated by Firefox. How do I get all this back? It should be in my original profile, but that seems to be gone, too.

My "Email Link" suddenly quit working about a week ago. I use this every day and often. I have made no changes nor am aware of any other. Online I see many people have this problem and in different browsers. Suggestions I see are irrelevant or beyond my understanding even though I am an experienced user, but no pocket protectors. Also since I got Windows 11/new computer over a month ago, some pages take forever to load. I see all kinds of computer handshakes, looking up, google this-that and so on in the bottom left corner above the Windows icon. Have never seen that stuff before. Is this a clue re: my "Email Link" problem?

Help would be much appreciated.

Is there an application to get rid of 'Old Firefox Data' folder? I tried to remove it once on another machine and i lost all internet connection (needed a full Windows restore) so very nervous about this.

Hello. The browser will start fine and run for most of the day. I haven't made any known changes to the PC. At some point the browser will crash for all tabs and all windows. Any attempt to refresh goes to the screen as seen in the attached image. The "Restore This Tab" button does not work. I have to close all Firefox windows. Then the browser will work again.

I'm using an Alien computer. Windows 11. Everything is up to date. Firefox version 145.0.2 (64-bit)

Good Morning, Please how can I add or take out in firefox the icon shortcuts with most visited sites that I use, Also firefox is adding by itself shortcuts to my opening page and I don't want to have more than 6 or 7 or firefox suggestions. Thank you for your help

Bonjour, A chaque fois que j'essaie d'imprimer un PDF sur Firefox, il me sort des pages complètement noires sur une brother DCP. J'ouvre les mêmes PDF sur Edge et pas de problème pour les imprimer. Le problème vient bien de Firefox qui envoie n'importe quoi via pourtant le même driver qu'Edge. J'ai vidé mon toner de noir avec votre bug.

I'm sorry to be asking this question again, but my previous thread was locked without my being given an opportunity to respond. The question was this:

I have Bing as my homepage, but on one computer I have a very annoying problem. I click on the settings to turn off 'Show news and interests' and 'Show trending on Bing', but the next time I come back to the homepage these settings have turned themselves back on. What do I have to do to retain these settings?

Denys responded to say it was a feature introduced by an extension. I'm not sure what gave this impression; I'm simply going to the Bing homepage (www.bing.com). I do have extensions installed, but I have turned them all off for this page just in case it was one of these that was causing the issue. If you click on the hamburger menu at the top right of this page you have an option to disable 'Show trending' and 'Show news etc', but as soon as the page is refreshed the news and trending, which appear at the bottom of the page, reappear. It's as if Firefox isn't saving the cookies, and yet it clearly is.
