I'm running v95.02 (64bit) on a Dell G5-5500 with 16GB RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 2070 with 6GB RAM with Windows 11 (v10.0.22000)

On many occasions (several times a day) Firefox simply goes away without warning... sometimes after several minutes on a page. Sometimes in GMail, sometimes Facebook, sometimes other sites... there does not seem to be a particular pattern.

Is there a hidden log somewhere that I can send to you to help resolve this issue?

Thx!

Al

Hopefully this is the appropriate place to ask. Javascript just doesn't seem to work for temporary extensions. When I couldn't get my own extension to work, I tried to follow the tutorial in "Your second extension" (link) and it also just doesn't work. HTML and CSS load just fine but it's none functional. I can't even get a simple log out to console.

I just updated to Windows 11 a few days ago. Is it possible there is some setting I changed a long time ago that is causing this behavior?

YouTube (for example) video begins to stutter and ultimately stop playing when i switch the focus to another app (on my second monitor) however the audio continues perfectly. I tested this and it doesnt happen with Edge. I have seen other articles reporting simlar problems on different platforms that say to edit the network.http.throttle.enable and version. Mine are already set to the suggested settings but i am still having the problem. Any thoughts?

This has been asked before but not resolved. I've set the folder for downloads but FF ignores that setting. I just installed it on a new system--it's worked properly before in Win 11 but not on this Win 11 system.

I'm just downloading an html page or a txt page--not anything large. I did d/l several mb exe files and they did go to the proper folder but ctrl-s or right-click "save page as" choices don't go where Settings says they should.

How can I get FF to follow the proper setting?

No websites will load at all. The address looks fine but the loading ends up timing out just like when the address isn't correct or the site is having issues. I believe this started after the last update, I don't remember if it was a Firefox or windows update. I've tried the suggested troubleshooting tips, and uninstalled re-installed firefox twice. All I achieved was to lose my dark theme and previous open tabs.

An external partner is embedding one of our websites and has been experiencing the following strange behaviour since FF v97.0:

[See image attached] You can't click any buttons within the iframe when you place the mouse on the button itself. But if you move the mouse ~2cm below the button (red arrow) it acts like it's hovering over the button and you can click it.

There were no code changes on our side and for FF v96.0.3 everything still works as expected. I thought the issue would perhaps be solved in this bug (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1758664) but I tried with version 98.0.2 and it's not fixed there. I'm however hesitant to report a bug in Bugzilla since I can't provide clear reproduction steps (company data).

Thank you for your help!

With Devtools open and Responsive Design Mode active, selecting a device from the Device list and then right-clicking causes the context menu to appear in the lower right of the screen (figure-1 or first image if filenames aren't shown).

Depending on where I click, the menu shrinks (figure-2, second image).

Using the same device, if I type, "412" in the width box, it changes to Responsive Design Mode. After that, it works as it should (figure-3, last image). Notice that I clicked in the exact same spot as the first image.

I've tried safe mode; deleting all my profiles; none of those worked.

So ive been using firefox as my main web browser for years. I cant remember how long now, well over a decade. Anyway, i recently moved over to windows 11 on my laptop and it updated firefox the other day. The browser is no longer functional. I open it, but the page is blank and it is trying to load a new tab but nothing is happening. Any address i try this is the same. All my bookmarks are still there but it doesnt work. Id also like to complain that it came loaded with amazon extensions as well. I disable those, does that have anything to do with it?

I was using Firefox as usual when Bitdefender, my antivirus app, apparently caught a Firefox-related file it thought was malicious and either quarantined or deleted it.

Now, Firefox will not display any websites at all. The other web browser on my computer Microsoft Edge, displays the websites just fine and is not having issues. But not Firefox.

I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Firefox, to no avail. I also tried to restart my computer, again to no avail.

What do I need to do to have Firefox back up and running again?
