FF115 Win11 I have synced my old computer to the new one but I am unable to open all the tabs transferred from the old to the new. (Right clicking on old computer name in the sidebar does nothing)

I was very annoyed to find that Firefox started downloading things to the Downloads folder instead of asking me where I wanted them to go. I checked "always ask" and it still didn't ask. So, I found a solution that involved going into about:config. That solved the problem of never asking BUT now it is both automatically downloading files and asking.

How do I fix this? Why does Firefox require a default save location when I want it to ask?

Characters dissapearing, missing, garbled only in Firefox. Seems to be ok in troubleshooting mode. This only happens in Firefox so it appears to be isolated. As you hover over links is when it happens the most. I have the latest version installed and was just loaded on a new system.

I purchased a new computer, and they were to transfer all my stuff from my old computer, but they told me that my bookmarks are in a file that they cannot open. I would like to be able to get to them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

I really appreciate the container tab option for my browsing, as it affords me more privacy and I am a stickler about my privacy. However- I have been having an issue with links that I am attempting to open in a specific container that will load, and then immediately reload into the tab without a container. This has happened several times. The most recent example is that I clicked on a link from FB, a site I tend to avoid, and specified that I want it opened in a FB tab, as I don't trust them not to track me beyond that. However, the link loaded in the FB tab and immediately again with no container whatsoever. There was no request, no warning that I had set up the "multi-account container" and did I want to use it in the designated container... nothing. This has happened with links before as well.

There has been this odd banner of scripts on certain web pages for a while now and I'm not sure what it is or how to stop it. I don't know what the problem could be.

I am trying to access my account on https://web.reflection.app/. The dashboard page partially loads, with other areas showing a spinning circle. Another page has the same issue, with most of the content not loading at all. See the attached screenshots. The website works fine in Chrome and Edge (which I know is also Chromium-based); and I have the same extensions in all three browsers. The website was reportedly built using Flutter.

I've added the website to the exceptions for cookies, tracking protection, and pop-ups. I've also tried refreshing Firefox, using a private window with no extensions, and creating a new profile with completely default settings. I've also tried the troubleshooting steps mentioned at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/websites-dont-load-troubleshoot-and-fix-errors.

I would appreciate any suggestions!

My favorites/bookmarks has too many duplicate saved web sites on it, How do I remove the duplicates? This was not of my doing most have been repeated on my favorites bar/list 3 or more times. I am not sure how to delete the duplicates and not the originals. Can anyone Help me with this?

Just today a web based TV show has stopped playing, the circle spins for a moment (as if it was loading) the circle then just vanishes and nothing plays.

I am running Win 11, I have successfully had the video play in Edge and Brave.

Firefox however is being stubborn and refuses to play

When I open Firefox on my new computer all the bookmarks are showing at the top. I only want my default bookmark toolbar to show. The only solution I could find was to drag it into the toolbar area.

This happens now a lot, sometimes I can uninstall Firefox reinstall and it works. That worked this time but only for a few days. I am back once again to where I get this error on every place I visit. I have cleared my cache etc.. uninstalled reinstalled did a restore. It is only Firefox all other browsers work fine. No idea what to do anymore and am sad because I prefer Firefox. I only have standard windows 11 home security stuff installed so nothing special or fancy firewalls. Tried turning on default fire wall. Tried all the instructions on the more info page the error screen leads to.

Hello, My Antivirus sofware (GData Internet security) showed the attached message (in German) two times today. It says in English something like:

It was tried to access an infected archive

Virus: Trojan.GenericKD.71195125 (Engine A) File: 0B3C6E11DBBC160A3AAFC100C8BAB878F5EE0C Directory: C:\Users\re-ge\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firef Process: firefox.exe

The line ending with "Firef" may indicate that lines are truncated.

Any suggestion what to do ? Reinhard

With the new 118 version that introduced fullpage translations, whenever I got to a site that's not in English and that is one of the supported languages, the translation icon doesn't appear at all in the address bar. I can go to the menu and click "Translate Page..." and then the icon will appear but when I click to "Show original" it dissapears.

If I go to a website it creates a shortcut on my browser page each time. I only want to have the pages I use a lot on there. Is there some way of stopping each site from being added?

When you add a page to your bookmarks a window appears that asks for a name and which folder you want to save it on. By default it recommends you a folder but there is a button to "un-hide" your full folders list. Is there a way to make this the default? As in, i dont have to click "un-hide" everytime (...because firefox never picks the folder i want)

I'm experiencing a problem when I visit certain websites, like 'https://mui.com/x/react-data-grid/'. Every time I try to access this site, the page starts an infinite reloading loop, preventing me from using the website normally.

I've checked/unchecked the box, ran in safe mode, troubleshooting mode, reinstalled, now on new win 11 pro pc fully updated and suddenly it just downloads straight into TEMP directory and opens preview so i have to cut it out and paste it where I want it? Enough to leave this browser for good.

Every time I open FF it tries to download a file I previously downloaded. Even if I do it again, it won't stop it. How do I delete this queued action?

I think I found it - Settings/More tools/Task manager

Nope, that didn't work. I keeps putting it back into the tasks.
