Hello,

I would like to ask if there is something that can be done to recover bookmarks/logins?

The story: 1. When opening new tab it says it needs restart for a new upgrade. 2. Then nothing happens. When trying opening firefox new window does not load, the process shows for a short time (few seconds) then disappears. When opening it from cmd there is no console log. 3. Then after reading internet, it said that reinstallation could help. I did that, i.e. installed new firefox installator and ran it. After opening, it was a brand new firefox, no bookmarks, login information loaded from existing profile. 4. Tried to recover profile information via sync, but to my unfortunate i reseted the password from mozilla account and login in new mozilla firefox thinking it would fech all the data from server and I could retrieve my history. Unfortunately after the fact I read that it would reset all stored information on that account. 5. Right now in Profiles folder I can see three entries, two of which have only parent.lock file and the other is this brand new profile. I assume/guess it was created during reinstallation.

When going to update history it shows "Install Failed" on Firefox 132 version.

Is this case totally lost and all data is unrecoverable or is there a chance to recover it? When reinstalling, does new installation create a new profile that is futher used or try to use one that was used by already installed Firefox? Has the local profile been overwritten when resetting account password?

I understand that I made few mistakes along the way, e.g. not backing up profiles when upgrade failed, but nevertheless I would like to ask if there is anything that can be done?

When downloading a file, if the filename has no extension, Firefox adds ".html" to the filename. I want it to leave the filename as-is, with no extension. It will leave the name intact if I surround it with quotation marks, but it didn't previously require this.

Firefox Settings relates to Firefox extensions, which is not this issue. And the list of Applications does not include names that don't have an extension.

Example of situation: An SSL Certificate site needs to confirm my ownership of a domain. I download a file from the issuing site. The file's name has no extension. Firefox adds ".html", which causes the file to be not found after uploading.

Firefox did not have this misbehavior before the most recent update.

I use Firefox on a Dell Windows laptop. I used to be able to drag pinned bookmarks from my toolbar to the sidebar in the toolbar customization page; now, I can't. What's changed, and how do I move them now?

I keep getting a firefox upload display for a old file explorer. I should be showing the current file explore data. Why am I getting the message 'firefox upload and not just file explorer. I use a program called Beat Buddy Manager Online (https://bbmo.singularsound.com/) Currently, it does not work in my preferred browser (Firefox).

Please create a new version of the browser app that supports the ability to use FileSystemAPI on directories, this is essential for working with a BeatBuddy project and SD cards that are saved on my computer using the online editor.

I have not checked the "Tabs" setting that says "open links in new tabs." I assumed leaving that box UNchecked makes the default open in new windows. Nonetheless, it opens in new tabs!

I have recently run into an issue with web page not loading correctly. over the last couple of weeks, after I sign on to my bank's web site, I get a screen with non-functioning buttons(see attached screenshot). I contacted the bank, and their instructions were to clear cookies and cache, close Firefox and re-open the browser, and this should clear up the problem; or, update the browser. my Firefox is the latest version 131.0.3. the issue still existed after performing these steps. I tried using MS Edge and all screens loaded correctly. Firefox is my browser of choice, and I have not had this issue previously. please respond with feedback, so I know how to move forward. thank you.

How do I keep firefox v115 ESR or v128 ESR from mixing the languages for the add-on descriptions in the Manage Your Extensions UI?

I would liket everything displayed in English if that's possible.

I've always chosen the Settings option to notify me about updates but let me choose to install them. Those notifications still give me the option to "dismiss," but these days ignore that and proceed to install the updates anyway. Worse, I can't even choose to restart at my convenience: The browser basically stops working until I do that, displaying the message I've attached here. (There used to be a Settings option to "Use a background service to install updates" that could be unchecked, but it's not there any more.)

This is not only obnoxious but a practical inconvenience because every time it happens I have to repopulate my Private Browsing sites. I'd hoped that there would be a fix in the latest update (that just forced itself on me) - 132.0 - but no.

Anyone else experiencing this?

My Firefox 132.0.1 64-bit Windows 10 doesnt remember my settings, as e.g. home page. As soon I exit Firefox the old (default) settings come up (exept my search engine - that it remebers). I cannot find any "save settings" any where. Best regards RP

Hi - Wondering if anyone has ideas on how to fix this and recover my bookmarks:

1) Had to reset my Windows 10 laptop which uninstalled Firefox. 2) When I reinstalled firefox and logged into my account, none of my extensions, bookmarks downloaded or synced 3) I synced my phone (logged into my account correctly with my data) to the firefox on my computer (via QR code), hoping that would fix my laptop's browser syncing issue. Instead it deleted all my phone's firefox bookmarks when it synced with my computer (ugh!)

Is there a way to recover my bookmarks from my phone's firefox or they are all lost? My phone's firefox still has the history but no longer my bookmarks.

I'm not exactly sure how to describe this, but I will do my best. I've noticed that since updating to version 132.0.1 of Firefox that something seems to be odd with the way the browser is behaving with Youtube. Specifically, the back button isn't behaving as it should. Instead of taking me back to a previous page/video, the back button fades out as if it had indeed gone back to a previous page on the site, but doesn't actively take me to that page. I have to reload the page to get back to that previous page. This, so far, has not occurred on any other website I visit. I'm not sure if this is a glitch in Youtube or in Firefox, however given that this seems to be localized to Youtube, I'm wondering if it's an issue in Youtube that is somehow specific to Firefox itself. I tried this on my phone, and the issue isn't happening there, just on my laptop's version of the browser. This issue was not present in the previous version of Firefox, so I'm not sure what's going on. I am on an older build of Windows 10 as my machine seems incapable of updating to a later build of the OS, but I don't believe this is the cause either since other websites I've visited do not have this issue, so far as I can tell.

Can anyone help in regards to this issue? I'm honestly stumped as to why this is happening and why it seems to be specific to Youtube only.

Hello This morning, Firefox would not open via the desk top short cut. Choose the open via 'run as an Administrator'. Nothing.

Although I had cleaned cache etc the night before I cleaned it all again with Ccleaner.

Shut down the computer and restart.

Firefox did open, the menu bar shows but.... All Bookmark pages I tried to open are blank, white screens.

I am on Goggle now in order to connect. Appreciate your help

I no longer can sign into my credit union account. I put in my info, and Firefox cycles me back to the sign in page. The CU has hooked into my machine and find nothing. Suggested I reset Mozilla (which I did and what a pain in the neck that has been). The one thing the CU help desk asked is "do you use Firefox?" Apparently another user has the same problem and yep, they used Firefox, as well. I've downloaded Chrome, which works.

I've noticed that a lot of Firefox users in several different credit unions are having sign in problems with Mozilla. Has there been a definitive fix to this issue?

I signed out of my google accounts in Firefox by mistake and can't sign in to my gmail from Firefox. All attempts at following instructions lead back to the same page. Image upload. It's a constant vicious circle and I don't know what to do.

I cleared the cache since midnight, long before the problem occurred. I've had to use Edge or Chrome to access my gmail and they work.

I don't know what to do and maybe it is a Firefox issue. It is updated since a few days ago. My gmail is ivangiesen1@gmail.com

I updated my Malwarebytes protection 3 days ago and since then I cannot access my Windows 10 programs using my Firefox browser as before ! I heard from Malwarebytes there could be some incompatibility between Firefox and their latest update but they had no information as yet .. Is Firefox working on this problem and when will it be fixed? I do not want to use another browser..
