Hello,

I have a website with a summary and different chapters.

I use <a id=#SOM-XX" href="#XX"> and <a id="XX" href="#SOM-XX"> tags to allow users to go back and forth between the titles of the contents and the chapters and sub-chapters. Until recently this worked well.

Since an undetermined date, on Firefox, after a first back and forth between summary and chapters, the links from the summary do not refer exactly to the chapter concerned, but slightly higher... Smiley rolleyes The phenomenon is amplified as one chooses a chapter close to the end, for example the 5th.

On the other hand, everything works normally on Chrome.

How to correct this problem?

I logged into my website using Firefox, 3 days ago and blamed the server for not allowing the images to appear in the Media Library properly. It took several attempts before the images would appear properly.

Today, when trying to upload a tiny 43KB image, the same issue happened, and again I blamed the hosting server.

However, I have tried uploading the same image to 5 different websites, using Firefox and the SAME thing happens. This time, it doesn't matter how many times I upload and delete the same image. It simply refuses to be displayed.

Back to the site I want the image uploaded in, and I used the Opera browser... POOF! Image uploads FINE and displays PERFECTLY in Opera, as well as AFTER logging out. Checking with the Brave browser, yes, it too sees the image... but when I try viewing the page in Firefox, the browser REFUSES to load the image.

I've tried 2 different computers using 2 different IP addresses, and an Android device, using Firefox and NOPE, the image REFUSES to load.

What is going on... am I the ONLY one experiencing this issue?

I've cleared cookies, I've rebooted my working computer... I've exhausted EVERY attempt at my end in trying to figure this out.

Can ANYONE shed some light on this issue please? I have many visitors to all of my sites that use Firefox, so this HAS to be resolved a.s.a.p.

Es normal, que con solo 3 pestañas abiertas (1 de esas pestañas es esta donde estoy escribiendo), firefox tenga 27 procesos abiertos?, considerando que solo tengo 1 complemento o Add-ons (ABP Adblock plus), me parece una exageración tantos procesos si solo estoy en: 1 pestaña: pagina de 365 frases motivadoras 2 pestaña: esta donde estoy escribiendo esta pregunta 3 pestaña: Ajustes de rendimiento de firefox No es como exagerado? Opera al menos abre 17 procesos en esas mismas 3 pestañas NO uso chrome (Dios me libre).

Whenever I view a video on for example https://old.reddit.com/r/nextfuckinglevel/comments/zg3lhv/the_coldest_temperature_ever_achieved_38/ or https://www.dr.dk/drtv/se/julehjertets-hemmelighed_-hvem-er-tyven_352532 my computer starts to lag, not just the video, my cursor skips around when moved.

This is on latest Nightly 109.0a1, but started after I switched from a AMD RX 570 4GB => AMD RX 6600 XT 8GB, never had the problem with the old vega based GPU.

What I have tried

1. If I disable hardware acceleration the lag stops.
2. If I start the browser in safe mode, the lag stops
3. Playing it in Firefox 1.0.7.1 with HW accelration, no lag!
4. Disabling all extensions, do not stop lag

If I look in task manager, there is nothing to report, no excessive cpu or memery usage

Cpu:3600 memory: 32GB

Sorry if this question has been asked before. I am quite a new Firefox user. I have set firefox to sync, but my saved logins and passwords on for example my PC does not sync to my android tablet or phone. How do I fix this?

I have already tried to updated windows10 and firefox, restore and reinstall firefox and my antivirus doesn´t detect any threat. What else can I do?

I just installed Thunderbird as my principal email carrier, and I was delighted at how fast and easy it was. Only one problem: it won't send mail. In Troubleshoot I discovered there are two smtp listings for this single account, one default, the other not. How do I delete the non-default one? I'm only guessing this is a conflict problem, but if there are any other known issues for this glitch, please advise. shawhomer@mailfence.com

I have no problem with anything with Firefox browser for many years until I just installed AVG Internet Security 2022 last 2 weeks ago into my PC Desktop with Win 10. Everything is fine but I have a little problem with Firefox browser 107 with Google search engine. It only once Google page and then it wont let me click anything on with each links and just pause same page. I called AVG and they said dont know why. When I turn AVG off and it works normal fine with Google page. Other Chrome browser works fine with AVG on . I can click any website thru Firefox browser except Google page. It something with Firefox on Google page is only problem issues. Please help. Sorry I am not good English grammar.

Hi... I have just updated my Firefox browser to 107.0.1 (64 Bit) and i now find i have this box Developer Tool Error at the bottom of the page just above the taskbar. I also have a transparent red film comes over the whole screen. The screen also jumps when trying to do a search on the website. If i try this on Opera ,MS Explorer or Edge this does not happen. I have deleted the whole Fire Fox program and reinstalled it but no difference. Please understand i am a senior and my knowledge is limited so i hope this info is enough. Thank you in-advance. Some pages in Firefox are displaying 'Wingdings' instead of 'English' characters. This actually included the "Topic" selection in the questions page!!!! (see attached image) It does not happen on most pages, but some that I wish to use are affected. Some sites are partially affected with, for example, drop-down lists displaying incorrectly whist the rest of the page is OK. If I select the affected text and paste it into, say, 'Notepad', the test displays correctly. This only started a couple of months ago following an 'update' to Firefox. (not much of an update if it messes up the application)!!

Specifically this is interesting because regular youtube content *will play just fine*

This is something I can readily reproduce for testing, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.

Please note: I have literally completed all fundamental troubleshooting several times. I respect due diligence and double checking, its just that I wish to be clear I've spent a few hours today on this and am thus far unable to impact the situation at all. --Note on Note: This includes disabling settings/features in firefox. Everything having to do with privacy, networking, hardware accel, and probably another category has been toggled multiple ways. This does not include mucking about in the detailed settings page ( about:config, etc etc). I do not memorize about:config settings I just use reference material to achieve a goal then promptly move on in life, and I am not a professional web developer though I can program so I haven't attempted to fiddle there at all. All that is to say consider any suggestions involving about:config or similar depth of settings to be *untested by myself on this matter* and therefore ripe for suggestions!

Oh, I also have not tested this in a VM. Although I certainly can if requested. I can note that a VPN does not impact this described behavior.

Well, I am able to get teh Ads to play prior to a live stream, sometimes. Note: Ads are not always displayed anyway so I cannot really know the statistics on this for sure.

At this point I have reinstalled Windows10 several times and can still reproduce this problem. All windows security settings have been toggled without impact on core issue. This has been reproduced through multiple win10 reinstalls.

Other browsers, other operating systems will function. I can use firefox on my various linux systems. I can use several versions of firefox to play these same videos on my linux systems.

However win10 at whatever patch level is unable to utilize firefox to play youtube live streams. Again, nothing I've done has impacted this behavior ( reg yt vids OK w/ preview and chats, live stream vids NOT OK, though ads and chats display fine )

I'm several varieties of engineer (Electrical, Networking, Security, Systems - whatever other varieties HR departments decide to use ) and can happily grab whatever data, or create whatever testing conditions that can be asked of me.

IMDB page regularly flickers and breaks up only on Firefox but not on Chrome. Pressing the space or enter keys sometimes help but often doesn't and I need to reboot.

I can't open amazon.com. I've disabled my antivirus and have tried in 'troubleshoot' mode. I have cleared my cache. I have flushed my DNS. It's been going on for days. I keep timing out. Other sites do not exhibit problems. Chrome DOES open amazon.com quickly.

Is there a way to copy add-on data from one PC to another? I'm in the process of switching to Linux and I don't want to lose the data from one add-on specifically, Feedbro.

I've considered copying my whole profile, but there is a glitch I've been stuck with for a while now and I think a fresh profile would be a good idea.

I know Feedbro can export feed subscriptions, but I want to keep ALL the data, not just the subscriptions.

Hello there, I wish to play 1080p video in 4k resolution(monitor native) rather than 1440*1.5 in fullscreen mode on youtube. I have a monitor 4k resolution, my win10 setting is 150% scaling(recommended), the youtube viewport size is "2560x1440*1.5" with a "*1.5". When I change win10 to 100%, viewport is "3840x2160". This seems correct but the video quality is lower because it is not a x2 upscale from original 1080p youtube stream, but rather x1.5x1.33. Is there anyway for firefox to render video directly? I am aware I can change system scale each time to play video but that's not what I'm looking for. I guess since firefox is rendering text pixel perfect so it has a solution for this problem. Thanks

I have a high speed windows 10 laptop. I've used Firefox for many years with very good results. Since your recent upgrade my computer has run extremely slow on your browser. This is not the case with aol or Google. I've tried changing settings but don't know what I'm doing. Nothing is making a difference. I don't want to go to another browser but unless this changes I have no choice. Hope you can help.
