Hi. I ran into a problem loading the site. For the first few seconds, the site displays layout without styles. This problem is only in Firefox (windows and ios), other browsers (Chrome, Opera, Safari, Microsoft Edge, Interner Explorer) do not have this problem. With what can it be connected? Thanks for the answer.

For the past 5 or 6 major versions of Firefox, in some websites, sometimes the fonts used are rendered too thin, making it difficult to read. It's inconsistent though, it affects some websites but others not, a website may be affected today but not tomorrow, hitting ctrl+f5 several times or closing and reopening the browser a couple times, sometimes fix it, sometimes not.

Looking at the font inspector, I couldn't find a specific font family that causes it, seems to be random too. Font settings are at the default. The source of the font file seems not to matter as well, it can be Google fonts, local fonts, the website server itself, even when developing locally... it's the same.

Now in Firefox 103 none of the "tricks" I mentioned before are capable of fixing the problem when it happens to a particular website. I've seen a lot of questions in this forum about the same problem but nothing helps.

In the attached screenshots you can see the difference between how it looks with and without the issue.

Hey there,

For the last 2 days I have been experiencing issues with soundcloud and linear.

After looking into the console I noticed that there are a lot of errors, and they look the same.

Failed to load ‘https://a-v2.sndcdn.com/assets/1-c3c6190a.js’. A ServiceWorker passed a promise to FetchEvent.respondWith() that resolved with non-Response value ‘undefined’.

I installed https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/block-website/ about that time, but I tried to disable the extension, it did not help. I also tried troubleshoot mode, did not help either.

Soundcloud works in a private window with all extensions enabled, even block-website.

Any ideas?

Thank you

I'm currently experiencing difficulties with the Twitch video player. After typing a message of a certain length, between 3-4 lines, the video player starts moving back and forth in time with the cursor and stops when the cursor stops. I have no idea what causes it. I've turned off all my addons, reset Firefox, and messed around with settings. the only thing that stops it is running troubleshoot mode, but i don't know what is being changed to fix the issue.

FIDO2 Key Registration Fails in Firefox 104.0.2 on Lubuntu 22.04

Vanguard Securities is requiring we replace our U2F security keys with FIDO2 keys before Sep 20, 2022. So I bought a new Thetis FIDO2 key and attempted to register it on the Vanguard site. It fails with no error message on the registration screen. So I tried the following:

  • Tried a different site - it also failed to complete with no error message
  • Turned OFF all ad tracking blockers and pop-up blockers
  • Tried a different (new) key - Failed
  • Tweaked WebAuth in about:config - Failed
  • Tried a different computer but still Firefox - Failed
  • Tried registering the new key as a U2F (it's backwards compatible) - Failed too
  • Searched internet for information - Bugzilla reports that the WebAuth issue was resolved with Ver 99
  • And all of course with the obligatory logout-login/ reboot keyboard dance
  • Out of desperation I installed Chrome - it worked just fine

Everyone reports that Firefox should work with FIDO2. Is there a problem or am I missing something???

Bonjour !

I have had troubles when connecting to the French finance Ministry website. To pay my taxes, I am requested to supply a bank account. But when I click on "submit it", I get an message "firefox doesn't know how to open this address because one of the following protocols (javascript) isn't associated with any programm...you might need to install other softwares..". OK ! I would like to know which one ! In any case, I could update my bank account and pay my taxes using Edge... But this is not a good mark for Firefox !!!!

ATT.net required a password reset. At the next login it would not use the new password. ATT then sent me a secure message key to my phone. This allowed the reset, but then after exiting ATT and Firefox, the next time in the new password would not work, and my ATT account locked up with "too many tries". This took me about eight service calls to find the problem. It turns out that during a secure password reset, ATT generated a new file in Firefox's password list that had their new password name with a BLANK name for the users email address. So now Firefox was showing TWO PASSWORD FILES and ATT's login locked up. I was able to fix it within Firefox by entering my email address in the password file's blank name entry, and deleting the old Firefox entry by hand. Nowhere did either ATT or Firefox detect this condition.

I have recently been experiencing a problem with the mouse capture feature. When playing a game (say, Krunker.io), clicking to start the game neither "absorbs" my mouse nor correlates its movement on my mousepad to the game view. The tiniest movement will send the screen in a 180-degree turn. I've looked at the dev API, but I really don't know what to do. Please let me know if you need more info.

Whatsapp web https://web.whatsapp.com/ does not work in firefox private browsing, as described here https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/103595. The page attempts to load several times, then stops with a URL https://web.whatsapp.com/?logout_reason=0. It works in Firefox normal mode and in MS Edge, both private and normal mode. What I have done: Uninstalled all extensions Re-installed Firefox Refreshed Firefox Firefox 104.02 64 bit This is a known issue and has been around for half a year. Please fix it. I'm using Firefox mostly for privacy reasons, and not being able to use it in private mode is ironic and defeats the purpose. Looking forward to a solution. Thanks

Hi,

I'm working on a website which uses third-party cookies for user login. But, recently, firefox has made Total Cookie Protection default making third-party cookies obsolete. To gain access to unpartitioned cookie jar, the documentation (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Document/requestStorageAccess) tells that we have to call requestStorageAccess() API on a "user generated event". With this as a limitation, I have to add an additional button to create an user generated event. This is affecting my website's user experience.

Is there a way / hack to call this API without an user generated event like a button click.

Thanks in advance
