Hello!

I was using this laptop for everything for a few years. Now I wanted to use this for work also. Previously all my bookmarks and logins were synced via a single email account. It was easy to use across all devices. Now since I want to use this for my work also, I decided to segregate my work stuff to a new windows account. So I created a new windows account. Obviously Firefox created a new profile and it was clean. No problems there.

So I wanted to use my original email for this new windows account and new firefox profile to sync across devices. So I created a new email, added it to my firefox account, made it the primary email then deleted my original email from that firefox account so that I can use it to sync firefox in my work user account.

But, Firefox is not allowing me to. There is no "signup" option for sync. Only "sign in". It continually asked me to sign in from my primary account, so I had to sign in from my primary account to make this post. Doesnt firefox offer 2 different "sync profiles" for the same device? Or Am I doing something wrong? Please help.

I am unable to login to firefox accounts .

I have the correct Email and Password, but it keeps asking me for the conformation code sent to the email for login, but i dont have access to the Email as the password is saved in sync server.

I mean the Lockwise Sync server. No i don't have any device currently logged in to Sync. I recently Formatted my PC, So all files for password manager were lost(I synced the logins to the server before formatting my pc hoping that the Login id and Password for the Accounts would be enough to retrieve them ) and am trying to retrieve the logins.

No luck with the login links i can login but cannot change anything in the settings, it says :

" NOTE: Before you can view or make changes to this section, you will need to verify your email address. "

So any way i try it is asking for the conformation code sent to my Email address Whose password is stuck in my sync server.

So its like


can't access the sync server -------because------- can't access my email for code------because--------can't access my firefox lockwise -------because-------can't access sync server

Need Help ASAP Please.

I forgot the password for my second firefox account, whenever i try to initiate the password change i would get an email from Firefox Accounts <accounts@firefox.com> with links but unfortunately the link and as a matter of fact the whole email is kind of broken, the link the i was provided was sending me to the the firefox accounts page and it says "Bad Request" Invalid parameter:ui, i can't log in, i cant change passwords, i tried multiple times but no solutions so far. tried refreshing, tried copying the link manually, something is missing.

First of all, I have to thank you to build the community in your freetime. I've changed my computer. I have 2 firefox accounts, the first for private browsing, the second one for work browsing, and I use them via different Firefox profiles. The configuration of the private account (adam**********y@gmail.com) was succesful. But the configuration of the work account (s****i@orfk.police.hu) was not. I've used this accounts since 2013, and I'd reconfigured them so many times, and there wasn't any problem until now. The actually problem is the unreceived verigfication email. I've tried the actions below: - checking email working -> Perfectly works. - checking spam folder -> There is no any mail in the spam folder. - adding accounts@firefox.com to contact list -> Done. I did not get the verification emails. The administrators probably changed the security settings. I cannot log in, I cannot sync. I tried to send you this letter from my work e-mail, but I did not find any support address, just this option. How can I resolve this problem? Thans for your help.

Hello,

Since 2 step authentication has been added to the Mozilla add-on accounts, we no longer have access to this account. We have the email address and password, but cant enter the code for the 2 step authentication as the code is sent to an email that no longer exists. We have another account that we would like to transfer an extension to from the old email account. Is there any way to access the old account or transfer the extension from the old account to the new one without having the access to emails sent to the email address of the old account?

This is important to us as the id of the extension used within the non-existent account is preventing us from loading another extension with the same id. This is to prevent us from having to rebuild our NMH software that must use the appropriate id for communication.

Any help would be appreciated.

Access Manage Accounts Primary Account email shown. Secondary email states none. Try to add new email so I can make it the Primary account. Enter new email and states already exists?? but still showing NONE in the box. Seen the info on how to change Primary account but cannot get passed my Manage Accounts as the problem with the Secondary email not showing to trigger the change Primary Address box.

I would be very grateful if somebody has a solution to this problem as the current Primary Address is an old email which I wish to stop using.

When i try to sign in to sync data in the firefox browser itself, it sends a verification to the primary email on my firefox account (old university email). If I try to sign in with the secondary email on the account, it says it requires me to sign in with a primary email address. What can i do update my email address in my account?

I've seen the answer to this on a couple of other Q&A posts, but just in case...

On the Edit Profile page, under Username, it lets you delete the existing name and type in your own. And a helpful instruction tells you permissible characters. But if you attempt save the change, you get an error message.

The other Q&A posts say that you can't, in fact, change your Username. If so, why doesn't the Edit Profile page say so? Why does it mislead you into attempting to change your Username?

Also, the note under the Username textbox says, "Keep in mind that your username is visible to the public." So, if your e-mail includes some form of your personal name, and that name becomes your username by default (which happened to me), and you never notice this, you get exposed (such as by posting a query here)? But in fact, the "Keep in mind..." instruction isn't fully true. As one of the other Q&A posts says, if you choose a display name (which is blank until you add one), your username is NOT exposed. But the Edit Profile page doesn't tell you this.

So, the whole Username portion of the Edit Profile page is very misleading. It needs to be clarified. And, when you sign up for Firefox, you should be given an opportunity to choose a unique username. Mine was forced on me in the background, apparently.

I was using Firefox as my default browser and had data like bookmarks, add-ons for everyday use, etc. but after I reinstalled windows and installed Firefox again I forgot which email was link to my data as I had multiple emails logged in. Now I have tried 2-3 emails which didn't work in bringing my data back and I don't remember the password of my other emails, I can recover them by forgot password but I it says resetting password will clear history bookmarks, etc.| I can afford to loose history and saved passwords but is there a way I can get Firefox back to my configuration and add-ons, etc I was using previously?

PS: I do have windows.old file after windows installation-If it could help./

My Firefox account is tied to an old email address which I had taken off my Gsuite list of emails. I have now reactivated that email. But I could not log in since my account was locked. I will change the email for the account once I am able to log back in.

The email I am currently using to log in is a valid email. It simply was turned off the first two times I tried to log in.

What can I do to get the lock removed to log in?

I have a duplicate Firefox account that I would like to close.

I forgot the password for this account, and when I go to https://accounts.firefox.com/reset_password to reset it, I enter my email address for the account I'd like to log into and it fails every time with the message "Primary account email required for reset".

The API response includes the error message "Reset password with this email type is not currently supported".

My account email address ends in @hey.com. Is this domain not allowed for password resets?

I am setting up new devices and trying to sync my account across them. When I try to login I get a message saying it sent a verification code to my email address but I don't receive it.
