I want to lock tabs so they "Never" change unless I unlock them. I.e. Allow no one, nothing to ever change the page if it's locked.

Tabmix plus had an option to freeze tabs, but it was only partially effective

Anyway to accomplish this in 57 or above?

I would like to know if it is (or will be!) possible to organize the tabs in the "new tab" page. For example, if I want the tab #3 to be in the #1's place. Just reorganize the order as I use them.

For the moment, when I add a new pinned tab, it goes in 1st place, and I want it in the last one.

And I'd like to have more than 10...

Hi,

I have 2 problems:

1. How to set Google to be the default page while opening new tabs by clicking on plus sign. This option is not appearing in settings page. 2. Whenever I type something and click search on the Google search bar it gives error "Secure Connection Failed". Screenshot included.

Bonus problem: Even gmail is not opening through the address bar. Error: "Secure Connection Failed"

I am a bit disappointed at the new FireFox and thinking to switch to other browser.. :(

When moving your mouse to the very top of a tab (or even the minimize/close controls in the top right) it does not select the tab when clicking (when working with a maximized window). Instead, it acts like you're just clicking the window. This is very annoying. Is there any way to fix this?

How can I prevent the auto shifting of tabs to another row?

Hello, can anyone help me with this problem? I've been working on trying to solve this ever since the Firefox 57 release.

I already used the popular code I've seen around the internet, to make the tabs into multiple rows.

HOWEVER, I've run into this problem:

I have a few rows of tabs. Whenever I want to move a Tab into another *exact* position, Firefox automatically and randomly slides other tabs over in other rows to make a gap, and when I let go, the selected tab 'jumps' into that gap on another row (usually right above) instead of where I really want it to go! It also creates gaps on the far left of all the rows too.

I want to move the tab to an exact position. TabMix Plus used to allow this.

I tried making a screenshot of the problem to show here, but of course, the moment I let go the mouse to take the shot, the gaps disappear and the tabs are back into position.

Is there a code to prevent this auto-shifting of other tabs? I'm not on Windows. I'm on a Mac (just in case any answers may reference folder/file paths). Thanks!

Looking at the Tiles on my New Tab page I see that the images from my own site that it used as thumbnails are extremely small and makes the tile look very blurry instead of sharp.

How does Firefox decide which image to use as the thumbnail. The page it takes the image from does not present the image at the thumbnailed size at any point but only as large images so it must be something you can define somewhere on your web page, so that Firefox grabs a proper image.

While I was away, my husband opened my browser and got the "We had a problem restoring your tabs" page. Instead of restoring all of the tabs and bookmarking them, he turned the "We had a problem" page into a pin. Shortly afterwards, the browser had some sort of conniption and crashed. When it was brought back up, the pin was gone, along with all of my tabs, which were many. I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this, but is there any way of retrieving them?

In Firefox, when you have lots of tabs open, these buttons will apear on the left and right ">"

Is it possible to make it in firefox so when lots of tabs are open, they will shrink like it does in Google Chrome? So there are no ">" and "<" buttons?

Thanks.

I restarted my Mac today because it prompted me to do so. I had to "force Quit" Firefox and Pages in order to be allowed to proceed. When to restart finished, I reopened Firefox--but was NOT prompted to "Restore Your Previous Session", instead ONLY ONE WINDOW opened containing ONE TAB of the "search engine" Safe Finder by YaHoo. I don't even HAVE YaHoo on my computer!

What SHOULD HAVE APPEARED is ""~15 black, minimized WINDOWS, and two ACTIVE WINDOWS--all containing 1,000 or MORE TABS and ALL OF MY PASSWORDS""--dating back to when I first turned on my computer in 2012.

I am on the Autistic Spectrum and I SAVE ALL THAT INFORMATION VISUALLY!, until I am finished using it, then I shut the tabs--NEVER TO BE REOPENED.

I attempted to use the "Restore Previous Session" option in the drop-down menu, but IT WAS IN GRAY AND UNUSABLE! I want ALL of my tabs and windows RESTORED! And without ME HAVING TO RELOAD EVERY SITE MANUALLY!, by CLICKING on EVERY website in my computer's History file! I do not even know if that will go back to 2012.

Please fix this problem.

Thank you, Zragonal@hotmail.com

Post Script: I am not sure that I will even be able to access my e-mail account without ITS TAB. So this may be a futile endeavor, if I do not reestablish that site's tab, through my History file. I will do that next.

I change my tabs. Great. Next time I click a tab I get the same nonsense over and over and over and over and over. So how do I fix that? Is there a human or do I have to chase my tail all day because you updated me without my permission. Remember the part where it says YES, when I allow it. Well, you did it anyway and I've spent all morning redoing my page, and the TAB DEBACLE is the only one I can't solve.

In my tab called Business, I have a folder called Buy. This folder seems to have multiplied an infinite amount of times (I couldn't even count them all) and consequently, Firefox slows down to a crawl while my bookmarks are trying to load and then it just crashes. I can't seem to delete the folder. How can I solve this problem? I am seriously considering a switch to Microsoft Edge if I can't fix this problem soon. Thanks for any help...

I am providing more of a feedback to make Firefox even better, not so much a problem. Imagine that I have 5 tabs open and I am at work. I am searching for a house while waiting for windows to process somethings and I have 5 tabs open. What if a manager comes to see me for a question and sees all my tabs with visible titles such as 2 Symons Gate place or whatever. Can you add a feature that allows us to blur a tab's title for privacy concerns?

thank you,

After Firefox quantum updates on my middling 8 year old windows pc, my 1600+ tabs pevious session launches within two minutes, but subsequent starts take greater than 10 minutes before interaction is possible. This repeats itself the first launch after each new version update, so I may only enjoy this speed benefit once per version. What do new versions change, clear, reset, or replace relating to the program startup so that this may be replicated? It is not the cache. Thank you for your help.
