You said this (attached), not long ago. It doesn't work w/ ff60. I will not upgrade until/unless you tell me how to do this in ff60 -- I don't give a **** how much more secure it is (deck chairs on the Titanic, y'know...).

You broke it -- you fix it.

(This isn't fun for you, either -- I know! Why!!!???)

Hi, I have a pinned tab on my firefox session. And every time I open Firefox it's there. But now I don' want it there, I've unpinned the tab and close it. But it keeps appearing pinned every time I open Firefox. My configuration for the start page is: Start of Firefox (Default) (or something similar, I don't have it in English) And my session is shared between my home and work computers (maybe this can be related) The pinned tab is open.spotify.com that opens another firefox window to log in. I haven't had any problem with other pinned tabs.

Thanks and sorry for my english.

Hello. Here we go again with the same (very) old and (very) annoying story. Windows 7 somehow decides to freeze, forcing me to force shut down. And guess what? That's right. My Firefox session is gone..

What's that? Try to search sessionstore.bak to see if it stored the previous session before it was gone? Ok that'll work. Except that sessionstore.bak even if it has the correct time and it's 2.30 MB it contains nothing more but many many empty spaces.

Tried restoring previous file version method, didn't work. (I probably had this function disabled). Tried Recuva program to restore deleted files, found the correct one (.js) only to be the same with the current (containing spaces). Found another almost 2 weeks old (.js), 3.02 MB, contains weird characters and a list of registry keys that are uncompleted(?). Tried copying the contents of that file to that site "herokuapp" ("When All Else Has Failed" - Why this should not), didn't work probably because there aren't any valid tab websites in there.

So here's a suggestion to Firefox developers and those who are involved with it: The .bak file was a good idea. It stores the previous session when something goes horribly wrong. But what if that file gets corrupted or accidentally replaced? You should add an alternative backup method. Another file that will store the session ONCE at the beginning of EACH new day, even if Firefox had not been shut down. Also add a friendly option to access this file through Firefox from its menu. That will save a lot of headaches, a lot of time and more. I am sure this wouldn't be hard for you. And please do not rely on third-party add-ons for this, it should be an official working function. TABS = FIREFOX, keep the tradition, keep it good.

So, is there really another way of accessing my lost tabs (or websites) without these files? I mean except from going through hell (History), which is considered my only option right now, and I don't even remember most of my tabs. What's even worse I don't keep the pages loaded to save memory avoiding Firefox crashes, Flash plugin crashes and extremely painful slow downs, when I don't quit Firefox for a few days. Unless I am missing something here.

Please help and thanks.

When I clicked on firefox's full screen popup to install firefox's 51.0.1 upgrade a second small popup representing itself as mozilla firefox said that I should install something called EasyPDFCombine by myway on firefox as my home page. I first ignored this second popup and just clicked on the firefox install button to install the upgrade for firefox, and in so doing nothing happened; i.e., this EasyPDFCombine popup appears to have blocked or prevented the upgrade installation. I then went back to the EasyPDFCombine popup and clicked on it to OK its installation and then again I clicked on firefox's install button; which at this time then the upgrade appeared to install. Which at the time appeared to be OK. Later I discovered I could not, that is, was not allowed to change my homepage to firefox. Moreover, I discovered that the EasyPDFCombine program was not even listed on my computer so that it could not even be uninstalled.

It appears that EasyPDFCombine is clearly a form of malware operating under the guise of Mozilla's Firefox program. This therefore is definitely a matter that Mozilla and Firefox must concern itself and look into.

PS: My operating system is Windows 7.

I'm playing in a online browser-based flash game called RiotZone. I'm currently on Firefox v.49.0.1, because no other versions display an animated notification in the Tab wherever the fight ends or starts (see the screenshot attached).

Dear Mozilla devs, please give me a hint, what could possibly be that only 49.0.1 supports these notifications.

If there is programing language explanation, don't hesitate to write it down. I would gladly forward your answer to the game dev as support ticket (in case it's their fault).

I need to mention, these animated notifications are perfectly displaying on Edge, IE 11, even on old Chrome version.

Thanks in advance.

I had 3 windows that I only actually have one window that had about 15 tabs the other two windows opened because of what I was working on. I carefully (or so I thought) closed the 2 windows with only one tab and then closed the window with the 15 tabs. But now of course I am only able to open one window with one tab. Can you help me maybe re-open my window with the 15 tabs? Or should I just kiss that window goodbye?

I've been having this issue recently with whenever I open firefox my search engine is reset to Yahoo, so I decided to remove all my addons and and restart firefox to see if the addons where the cause behind it.

To my surprise FireFox only retored the last window that I closed instead of all the Windows I had open at the time.

Those old windows had some very important tabs that I need for an upcoming project.

I've tried opening FireFox again to look for a potential solution but no such luck, I have the found the old recover.bak file that I think has my old browsing data.

C:/Users/username/AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/9ds7hi8q.default/sessionstore-backups

I would really appreciate any help anyone could give me here, I've tried following the instructions given to other users with no such luck

Lately, I accidentally noticed that when I press the keys for numbers 1 and 2 on my keyboard, Firefox switches between the open tabs (back and forth, previous and current, and so on). Sometimes, it even happens while the focus is in a text box or an input field in the page and when I type "2" for example in this text field, the browser switches to the second tab...

I simply wish to disable this feature and couldn't find any way to do it.

I went over some items under "about:config", I even installed the "keyconfig" add-on, I went over dozens of results after searching the web, but none of these helped me solve this annoying issue.

Please let me know if and how these keys can be disabled, so I won't give up on Firefox and switch to the other popular browser (rhymes with dome).

something strange happened. I think firefox updated or something. I turned on my computer and loaded firefox only to find all my tabs from previous session were gone. I followed the instructions on how load previous session but it was greyed out. I went to options and changed the setting to show previous session when starting. I searched through all my history trying to find all my previous tabs (which took me over an hour). After I closed firefox and tried again all the tabs were missing again. I repeated the same process and found that the setting had changed back to show my homepage, which is mozilla. This is really annoying!!! I just want it to load up my previous session when I open the browser!! Is it really that difficult to do? Please help because I am really irritated that I have to keep searching the history everytime that I want to see my pages.

I often use "open all as tabs" for a bookmark folder of weather.com "5 day forecast" sites covering the towns in a geographical region where I plan to go hiking.

One Firefox browser with six tabs for six towns in my state. "5 day forecast for Gorham," "5 day forecast for Jackson," "5 day forecast for Lincoln," etc.

The problem is the tab displays only some of the first few words of the site description: "5 day forcas," "5 day forcas," "5 day forcas," etc.

I'd like to display only the end of that sentence, which is the name of the town. This way I would have a list of towns across the top of the browser for direct reference.

I changed the "name" property of each bookmark, but that only affects the name in the bookmark collection list, not the display name of a tab in use.
