This code in mozilla.cfg used to overwrite new tab, but as of latest firefox 136.0b1 no longer works. Any way to fix this? There error in Browser Console.

I want the browser's tab bar to display like the homepage, instead of disappearing after opening a webpage tab bar. I don't know if I can accurately express my meaning, but I will attach two pictures

Losing my mind on this one.

Have 2 Macs I use at home, both running FF 141.0 and Sequoia 15.5.

Use Reader for RSS and Airmail for eMail. Both have settings to allow links clicked in those programs to open browser tabs in background. Handy way of banging through newsletters and RSS feeds before shifting to browser.

One on Mac, that open in battleground setting on both apps works as it has for, oh, last several years. On the other Mac, a few days ago that open in background stopped working with Firefox. It does work properly on Chrome and Safari if I set them as default browser (and, as I mentioned above, on my other Mac).

I've tried resetting Firefox on this Mac using the troubleshooting menu and have also cleared the Firefox cache. I even tried resetting the launch database in that Mac, although the fact Chrome and Safari are working fine suggests the OS isn't the culprit.

I'm unaware of having changed any settings, but am aware that "idiot user" may be the issue.

Regardless of how this happened, any ideas how to sort this annoyance out? Thanks!

Hi, I have a large number of tabs and also have pinned tabs. When I click a link outside of Firefox (FF is my default browser) it always opens them at the end of my tabs (on the far right). I would prefer that the newly opened links open at the beginning of my tabs (the far left) but just after my pinned tabs. Is there a was to do this?

My last automatic upgrade to Firefox installed a version of Firefox that allows only 1 tab.. This is very frustrating. I need multiple tabs. I searched for solutions, but have not been able to fix the problem. I have used Firefox for over 10 years. Please help change Firefox to support multiple tabs, or I am going to have to find an alternative to Firefox. Having multiple tabs is critical to me.

This isn't a feature I ever needed or ever wanted. More than often, I accidentally group two or more tabs and have no idea how to ungroup them (yes, I know, there's some about:studies where I can remove stuff from grouped, BUT it's not a good mitigation). Firefox has been a great browser for decades. This new "feature" is rather disturbing than helpful. I understand some folks might need it, but please, at least provide a way to OPT OUT. Thank you!

I used to be able to drag a tab from one window to another. Has this facility been removed? The Move option lets me move the tab to Start or New window, but not an existing window as I would like.

When I open Firefox, all my bookmarked sites start loading at the same time. I have unchecked, the "Startup Open previous windows and tabs" option in General Settings. I also deleted, and added Firefox again, but all sites are still loading on opening Firefox. (Chrome browser is fine.) Any ideas? Thanks!

Por algum motivo, meu firefox está abrindo conforme a página inicial configurada, contudo, sempre deixei para retornar com as guias que ficam em aberto e por algum motivo, meu firefox bloqueou a opção de abrir já com as guias da sessão anterior.

Não sei se é coincidência, mas está acontecendo após esta ultima atualização (19-05-2026), alguém mais está com este problema?

Minha alternativa será abrir minhas páginas todas novamente, e configurar para o firefox pegar as URLs como pagina inicial padrão...

I recently updated to Firefox 138.0.1 to use the new tab groups feature, which allows grouping and labeling tabs, as outlined in Mozilla’s support article (expected for all users by May 6, 2025). However, after updating, I don’t see the tab groups option when dragging tabs or right-clicking them. Has anyone else faced this issue? Could it be due to the progressive rollout, a conflicting extension, or a setting I need to enable? I’ve tried restarting Firefox and checking the tab bar, but no luck. I lost the ability to browse using multiple tabs. I have to open multiple windows because the browser automatically goes directly to the site rather than a new tab. I've used firefox for YEARS. Must I change browsers to have this feature?

my top bar comes up with dozens of internet pages trying to load when I open any internet page. Have not made any changes to anything. Pita to delete a dozen items trying to load every time I open Firefox. How do I turn that off? Tried looking for way to do that for hours and found nothing.

I have an ultrawide screen, yet my pinned tabs only occupy 1/3rd of my screen width before you have to scroll through them. How do I make this area wide and allow more than 27 pinned tabs to be visible.
