Hi.

I had to install a new OS disk. So, I created an account, and made a synchronization. Then, I made a security backup. When I installed the SO and Firefox, I logged in to sync. As soon as I logged, it automatically started to sync the random tiles it had after install. So, I had to use the places.sqlite and favicon.sqlite files. It got me half the tiles, and even those were misplaced. So, I had to go for the security html, and I finally got everything I wanted. But, now it says the account is not associated. If I login to associate it, when I shut down the PC, it returns to those half tiles, and out of order.

How can I get this right?

I am unable to recover the original profile files, and this is not me trying to recover that; they are just gone completely so, I can't bring that original profile back to fix this. I have refreshed, uninstalled, signed out, closed the tabs from my sync list, etc, but I can't get this to go away. I don't know what to do.

Installing firefox on my new device: Not all of my bookmarks are uploading from firefox on my other device.

It uploads a really old version of the tool bar even tough it shows in the HTML folder I am importing from my other device that the updated links are in the tool bar category.

I installed a new hard drive into my computer and when I downloaded firefox again none of my saved links, passwords, themes, etc. moved over even though I signed into my account. Please help! Asap!

I am experiencing a critical Firefox Sync issue and would like to request your assistance.

I recently installed Firefox on a new Windows system and signed in using the same Firefox Account that I have used for a long time. Although my account shows recent activity (last connection around mid-February), none of my synced data has been restored on the new installation.

The missing data includes:

Saved passwords (logins)

Bookmarks

Firefox preferences/settings

I have carefully checked the Sync logs (about), and they indicate that collections for passwords, bookmarks, history, and preferences do exist on the Sync server. However, the new profile does not download or apply these records, and Sync appears to treat the new local profile as authoritative.

I suspect that repeated sign-ins and sync attempts from a fresh profile may have caused my previous data to be overwritten or made inaccessible, even though the server still reports existing collections.

Given the importance of this data, I would like to ask:

Is it possible to restore my Firefox Sync data (passwords, bookmarks, and preferences) from a snapshot or server-side state from approximately 20 days ago?

Is there any way to force a full restore from the server instead of uploading the empty local profile?

Are server-side backups or recovery options available in cases like this?

I fully understand that Firefox Sync uses end-to-end encryption, but since the data was previously accessible under the same account, I am hoping there may still be a recovery option.

Please let me know if you need any additional information, logs, or identifiers from my account or device to investigate further.

I am signed in on all my devices. Yet nothing has synced since October 2025. So none of the books marks from my laptop display on my desktop in bookmark folder. The folders don't even match what is on my laptop. How do I fix and how do I prevent in the future?

Description: Multiple prior failed attempts. Clean setup, issue persists.

Android: Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 (SM-X200), Firefox 147.0.2 (~1500 bookmarks) - Old account deleted, cache cleared, restart. New account + Sync enabled.

Windows 11: Huawei MateBook D15, Firefox 147.0.2 - Old profile/account removed. Same new account + Sync enabled. - 30+ min wait: NO SYNC. Logs clean, Places DB verified OK.

Suspected: Android bookmarks not uploading to Sync servers. Questions: - How to verify/force upload from Android to Mozilla servers? - Tools to export/backup Android Firefox bookmarks (no HTML export)?

i have 4 accounts on firefox and i cannot remember which account i have been used through years now i cannot sync my old data however i have tried the 4 emails and accounts i used and non of them is working

Can you help providing a sync from the last 30days. Using a backup computer as my current computer is being repaired and bookmarks/passwords will no sync on this machine

Hello community, I have many history items from forms that I want delete, I can delete formhistory.sqlite from Firefox profile in AppData, but after while all unwanted items are back downloaded from Firefox Account (cloud). Is it possible somehow delete those file in Firefox Account too?

I'm trying for a long time, in my iPhone and MacBook, both Apps are the latest, using the same email and the Bookmarks do not show in any of the devises.

his is a new issue starting from FF 148.0.3

In FF on my PC I create a folder in the bookmarks toolbar for that day's research. I drag page URLs into there to bookmark sites/pages for follow up reading.

As extpected the shortcuts have the site's icons.

Open FF on my Macbook at home and since this verion, no favionns until I open the respective pages.

This is new. All other sync seems fine.

Hi, my PC had some hardware problem and al its data was wiped as procedure, so i had to install everything from zero, this includes Firefox, and when i did so i did the same as usual, download it, open it and log in to sync my data, but there seems to be a problem, all my data is gone, it says its synced and i try to sync it many times, no bookmarks, no extensions, no passwords, nothing, this is my only account too. tried to look up solutions online and saw people talk about 'old Firefox data' folder that can appear on the desktop but nothing for me, tried to go to about:profiles and see what profiles i had and switch to see if its in any or if the folder appears but still nothing, i don't seem to find a solution, i only got the PC back at the end of December last year, and its as far as i can see my Firefox activity here, but I've always used this account and I've synced in multiple PC's with no problem i don't understand what is happening now. thank you

When I'm on my phone and signed into my Firefox I want to be able to send tabs to my desktop. I'll click the three dots on my Samsung 20fe, click share, and click send to device. My p.c. is listed and when i click on it, a box pop's up and says "tab sent. I don't know where it's going, but it's not making it to my desk top. I've tried logging out and logging back in. on both devises

4 rows of links working great and sync killed it all. Data is in the prefs.js file but firefox wont read it how can I fix this? Hours I have been chasing around with ai checking all the settings etc. wth? HOW HARD DOES THIS HAVE TO BE? please help before I uninstall and never come back. Wasted way too much time!

В свой аккаунт где были сохранены вск мои пароли и заметки просто исчезли. Я не знаю что делать. Доступа к старому пк у меня нет. Я не понимаю почему браузер не хочет восстанавливать мои закладки и все сохраненные сайты.

All of my passwords were deleted from Firefox on my MacBook. I am trying to get everything to sync because the passwords are there on my desktop and they are there on my phone. However when I try to sync from my phone nothing happens. When I try to sync from the macbook it is telling me to go to Firefox on my phone and sign in on my phone. The problem is that I'm already signed in on my phone so it is really difficult to follow the instructions because what it's asking me for I'm not able to do. I'm just trying to figure out how to sync the passwords and get the passwords back in the Firefox on my MacBook.
