I find myself in an unfortunate situation; my computer was remotely accessed without my permission, my email and data compromised, identity stolen and more. While I have been working on that, and reporting such things to the appropriate companies and authorities, I am left in one of many unfortunate situations. My Firefox account was signed in, thus leaving passwords in the manager compromised, as visible as if it were someone sitting at my computer with it unlocked. I am working to change those passwords, documenting them offline, but I am worried to sign into my Mozilla account on a desktop computer, in the event that any malicious add-ons or extensions were installed. 1. Does being signed in to the mobile Mozilla leave me at risk of Spyware if any such add-ons or extensions were installed to the desktop client? 2. With the add-on and extension auto-sync that happens with signing into a Firefox account, I am worried that even if I buy a new computer, modem and router, that signing into the Firefox account could risk compromising the new computer and network. Can these add-ons and extensions be removed or unlinked from the account in any way without signing in on a desktop/laptop?

I cannot find "Sync and save data" button in my mobile browser, making it impossible to sync the devices. The instructions provided by the settings lead me into the dead end.

How can I unsync desktop from laptop bookmarks?

Selected update Mozilla to Windows 11 yesterday on desktop and am now seeing two sets of bookmarks on both devices. Laptop bookmarks were originally separate from desktop. Laptop is mine and desktop is my wifes. Did not know that it would auto sync both devices.

Is it possible to unsync/separate?

I want to sync bookmarks between my private and business PCs. I want to transfer bookmarks from my personal PC to my business machine, but I don;t want to transfer any bookmarks from my business PC to my home PC. Can that be done?

I had a Firefox debian version installed on my desktop running Ubuntu Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS and now I just installed the latest 143.0.1 "Mozilla Firefox Flatpak" version.

Hello Firefox community, I use Firefox Desktop on two devices — one for work and one for personal use. I’d like to have different bookmark toolbars on each device, but they keep syncing and becoming identical. Is there a way to prevent this (without turning off Sync entirely)? Or is it simply not possible to use more than one Firefox Desktop setup with different bookmark toolbars under the same account? Many thanks! Eva

Why am I being alerted when I sign in to Firefox to finish setting up my account? I think that I have had an account and already sync my devices for the last decade, but less than a century. When I follow the sync instructions i get put on a loop of needed to "pair from within the Firefox app," on my phone - which I was using when instructed to "open Firefox" very confusing as to what I am doing wrong.

I reinstalled Firefox on my laptop after it crashed. I also have Firefox on my iPhone. The profile there is up to date. How do I sync that profile to the laptop installation?

Hello everyone! Windows 10, Firefox 146.0.1 (64-bit) I'm trying to synchronize my account, but there is no "Sign in to account" or "synchronization" function in the settings menu on the left. When I log in via the command line using https://accounts.firefox.com/signin, I can log in, but neither the account itself nor the synchronization button appears in the settings. What should I do?
