Opening PDFs automatically with Firefox and, without any changes I might make, saving them with the download function in Firefox, actually ruins the functionality and data entry function of that file. Specifically this happens with PDF files downloaded from the (not all that amusing) PDFs from the FINCEN, (US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network). I do not see why and how Firefox thinks it is allowed to change files that are simply downloaded and saved on Firefox.

In other words, it seems that Firefox strips away certain "permissions" and/or "functions" (like built-in lookup, menu or choice boxes). This means that the file so downloaded via Firefox can no longer be used to properly fill in data, or to look up and choose data items within the file. (I see many times that ANYTHING having to do with "permissions" tends to be an intractable and unsolvable problem for software makers & experts, so, if you do not know right away how to solve the problem, it will probably take you several years to figure this out.)

The PDF in question is created by a government agency. If you have ever dealt with a government agency, then you know that they act sort of like Adobe or Microsoft: "They don't respond, or they do respond & say they do not understand, and if they understand, they are either unwilling or unable to fix the problem."

If there is a switch or option within Firefox, which lets me tell Firefox "Save this file exactly like it is received, nothing added or removed!", that would be nice. I just have not found such an option yet, and it would be nice if it might get provided someday.

I will share my browser data, but I am sort of convinced that a detailed question like mine will not be addressed within that shared data.

Firefox uses too much memory, with 1 tab 1GB+, and with 4 tabs all 3GB+, this is not normal, the forum topic did not help, reinstalled and did not help, there are no more than 6 extensions, and they consume only 160mb.

More recently, for the past few months maybe, I sometimes get a white menubar when Firefox is in the forefront. Clicking on it will restore the menubar.

Hello, Ever since Firefox did an automatic update. I can't go to my website like crunchyroll.com & my bank account website! I used Brave browser and I can get through them easily. Could you please fix this update and firefox so I can go to my websites please? Thank you

Also, I got Windows 11 as well.

Over the past two months, Firefox has asked me to enter my master password more than once... I don't know if this is normal. I know I'm supposed to enter my password when I log in, but after 5 minutes it asks me again. I don't think this is normal.

Could you please comment on this.

When starting Firefox with a completely new generated profile, I still get following errors in the Browser console tool:

For example (see attachment): services.settings: UnknownError: IndexedDB: main/moz-essential-domain-fallbacks getLastModified() IndexedDB: The operation failed for reasons unrelated to the database itself and not covered by any other error code. Module: RemoteSettingsClient.sys.mjs:555

At this time using Firefox, I haven't configured a Firefox sync-account, to sync settings with the central stored profile on Firefox servers.

Solution: May it is helpful, that if a sync-account isn't configured by a user, these function calls should be suppressed by Firefox, in order to avoid these exception/error messages in Browser console. These error message are just irritating messages, as long as a sync-account isn't configured and activly used.

I am trying to run Firefox on a MacBook Air from 2015 (MacOS Monterey 12.7.6) and it has not worked since I updated Firefox a few days ago. I have tried deleting it and downloading it again - same problem. Can not pull up any website. Eventually I get a dialog box "Firefox Crash Reporter".

Roboform doesn't show up in the toolbar and it doesn't pop up to suggest passwords. Video download helper doesn't show up in toolbar. This all started after the latest update. Thanks Bob

Could not get email via the usual Firefox. Always have used Firefox to get it. What happened ???

Then something called Moxilla came along. What's that? Why do I have to use Moxilla? I want Firefox. How is it related to Moxilla? Why did something change without my permission?

Hi Mozilla, I'm a loyal and longtime user and have had no major problems I can remember in the last 15 years. Recently, however, I've found that over the last seven or so months I have had great difficulty managing my New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com) and New Yorker (https://www.newyorker.com/account/profile) accounts. I have had to update credit card information, change passwords and update personal information and I've only been able to do this by switching to an alternate browser (usually Safari). I'm constantly told that I should be using Chrome with them, which I DO NOT want to do. Can you find out why Firefox won't fully work with these sites? OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit with all the latest Windows updates installed; running Windows version 23H2. Firefox release I'm having problems with: 137.0.2.

Just upgraded to release/version 137.0.2. The first time I open Firefox each day it takes about 2 to 3 minutes for ANY website to load. Sometimes when a web page does eventually load none of the images display.

I have tried same websites using Google Chrome AND Microsoft Edge. Websites don't have problems loading using either of those 2 browsers unless I have Firefox open in another window. If they load slowly, as soon as I close Firefox, web page load quickly in Chrome or Msoft Edge.

Not a RAM problem because I typically have around 20% of my RAM being used.

Did not have any of these problems using Firefox version 137.0.1.

UPDATE: Thought maybe it was one of my add-on/extensions so I checked for updates. Four needed updating. Made the updates and website still no loading properly.

It seems like after an update I cant connect firefox to my plex server I did a browser clear and it worked temporally but it started again. But it will connect if i use Safari Please advise Seems to be a Http Https issue
