My Bookmarks are missing. I see backups under the profile/bookmarkbackups folder but when I manage bookmarks, they are not in the restore dropdown. I have followed the steps to delete the places.sqlite but when I reopen firefox, I do not see the bookmarks have been restored. I thought it might have been related to Norton Utilities so I renewed a subscription but no luck. I also have a json file with my bookmarks but I cannot choose it from Manage Bookmarks, either

I was browsing web pages and wanted to bring up a previously visited page, but when I went to my browser history, there was absolutely nothing. I had at least half a year's worth of history and now it's gone. How can I get that history back? For reference, I am using the latest update on a Win10 OS. I want to get this back, because there's a lot of pages I'd like to revisit but now cannot.

The launch of Firefox Profiles seems to have obliterated everything in my account: bookmarks, history, open tabs, and extensions are all gone completely. I have an option to import files from another browser, but not from my own past firefox. I logged into my Mozilla account, but I didn't have any other devices so I think it was still unable to recover the data? Is there anything I can do about this, or is all of my data truly gone?

Can Firefox do anything to recover all of the downloads I'd saved until I accidentally had CCleaner erase everything? I don't know what else was deleted, but getting them back would be a big help.

Absolutely furious. My bookmarks have completely disappeared and none of your suggested 'articles' is any help at all. I certainly won't be using Mozilla any more if you can't tell me how to rectify this.

100% of my bookmarks have disappeared. I tried backing up to older version a month ago and still no bookmarks were found. I had over 2000 bookmarks. any suggestions?? Marty

I'm setting up a new computer, (Windows 11). Currently on a home WIFI network, in UTAH, with another computer, (windows 10). Very soon the new computer will be moving to my retirement home, in Nevada, on a new WIFI network.

Basically, How can I import Firefox bookmarks from another computer that is on the same WIFI network?

у меня стояла функция открытия вкладок из предыдущих сессий, но сегодня я открыл firefox сначало все вкладки были подписаны типа autoblock(или как-то так), я решил перезапустить браузер, в итоге открываю и ВСЕ вкладки исчезли, а у меня их там очень много и я точно не все вспомню, попробовал восстановить через журнал("восстановить резервную копию от" я выбрал от 21.10.2025, но она просто выдало сообщения, что текущие вкладки заменятся, на те, что в резервной копии и больше ничего не произошло) есть ли способ восстановить все вкладки не прибегая к тому, чтобы листать историю вручную?

I restarted Firefox today to find you have removed all my 100+ tabs, which I had arranged in folders, and replaced the vertical settings I had with Tree Style Tabs, which in the past has always run slow. I was greeted with childish graphics inviting me to set up a profile and offering me an introduction to Firefox. I have been using Firefox for years, mostly happily, until you screw up the view I had spent hours setting up. You are turning into a cheap Microsoft but with even less consideration for your users. Out of a sudden all of my bookmarks were lost. I tried importing bookmarks i had previously saved in an HTML. Did NOT work. I tried "revert to older date bookmarks." Did NOT work. I tried "import from another browser."Did NOT work. Funny thing is that with the same HTML file i extracted from mozilla when i made a copy a couple of weeks before, i was able to upload all bookmarks to Opera but not to Mozilla!!!! The image below for the non Greeks reads "Failure to process copy document".

Rebuilt my computer, restored Bookmarks from 'bookmarks-2025-08-30.html' but the original 'Other bookmarks' (just below 'Bookmarks toolbar') is now empty and has been moved to the bottom of all my other bookmarks in a new 'Other Bookmarks' folder. How do I get the contents back in the 'Other bookmarks' (just below 'Bookmarks toolbar'). P.S. I have a backed up 'bookmarks-2025-08-30.json' as well as a ' bookmarks-2025-08-30.html' available, if that would help. Regards and Best, NP_145
