Have tried using task manager to close extra browser webpages but on closing using expand function of task manager 3rd of five goes to 'web page has crashed; close or restore'. Pick restore and 3 'end task' closed sites come up again. Choose close and reopen your website and opens 5 Mozilla/Foxfire sites again. Lose Lose situation. Solution? I have three laptops and two PCs; none used for business. Longer I used the computer device this situation happens. 4 of five computers on Windows 10; one computer on Windows 7 Pro; doesn't ever have this problem.

Do you ever have an employee that answers these questions? Or is it always the volunteers.

iMac OS 10.13.6, Firefox 62.0 64bit Everytime I type the letter "o" in a text box in the browser, it's default opens the open file dialog box. I've also noticed that it always does this after a capital letter especially, and it does not have to be right after the captitalized letter. It's very annoying. How do I fix it?

In the last 24 hours, the body of a gmail will not load. I can see all the emails that have come in but when you click on the email the body is empty, only the subject line shows up. I use gmail from the firefox browzer. When I try this in Chrome the email is fine. I can also see the emails on my phone. I contact Google and that is how we diagnosed the browser to be the issue.

I've already cleared my cache.  ;-)

HI guys,

I've tried to search the net, and I found some solutions, one of them being going to config and find the mobi part and set it to True. Everytime I do that, it changes itself back to false, I don't know how to fix it, and it is really annoying.

If anyone could help, I would be so glad.

Cheers.

Greetings,

I've noticed that at times there's blank space on the left side of the pinned tabs but other times not. Is this a bug or by design?

This seems to occur at random with regular browsing but I haven't found what consistently causes it. I can repro by checking the Menu Bar on and off. When the Menu Bar is on, the blank space goes away.

I'm attempting to upload screenshots but the tool is timing out on me.

Thanks!

I am a long-time Firefox user who uses Intuit's Quickbooks Online. I have printed checks through Firefox for years. In the last three pay periods there are portions of the pay stub that are covered with "x's" and "y's" so tax categories, etc cannot be seen. If I switch to Safari, I don't get any of the bothersome characters, but my checks are not aligned to the printer as they were using Firefox. I hate having people tell me to switch to Safari or Chrome to get something done. I chose Firefox for a reason and it has worked up to now. Perhaps completely unrelated, why did the Firefox icons on my Mac(s) change from the cool orange and blue fox to a blank sheet with a pencil and ruler. Surely that wasn't on purpose. Thank you for the help.

win 7 x64, 65.0.1 I changed the paging file from a dynamic value to a fixed one (twice as much RAM), after which firefox spontaneously began to absorb all the RAM, which subsequently led to the crash of firefox itself, and other applications (such as discord, gog galaxy, etc.). This does not happen all the time, I can use the browser for an hour, then the memory will start to disappear, or I can only launch the browser and it will immediately begin to absorb memory. After restarting browser, everything returns to normal and no problems are observed until the computer is restarted. How to fix it all?

After a power failure in my area while I was online, my Firefox is now giving me "Network protocol error", half loading pages, seldom loading images, slow streaming on YouTube, and "problem loading page"(s).

I am advised by Firefox to inform the website owners but this is surely a Firefox browser problem, not a problem with Google or Facebook or YouTube or any website.

I am on Linux Mint 17. something on a 64bit system.

How does this get fixed?

After running Firefox for a time - 1 to 3 days - every character in the regular text on very website is replaced by a small box with an "A" in it. I am on Mac 10.9.5. Restarting Firefox doesn't help. The only thing that helps is my normal maintenance: Repair permissions in Disk Utility, restart in Safe Boot mode, wait for the hard disk to settle down, restart regularly. Firefox didn't always do this. Now it does it all the time.

Very sluggish performance, scrolling or changing tabs etc. There are 7 "Firefox CP Content" processes running, each about 800 MB but I've seen them go to maybe 1.3 GB. I'm thinking that swapping that much memory takes a long time, so maybe if I force them to be no mor then 500 MB It might help.

Can't find a Preference for "cache size" anymore - why not Content Process Limit is maxed out at 7.
