my intel from firefox reminding me to reset password, signed in for the first time after the password reset type messages that came to me today, not sure if this is only security related communications coming to my email address, but has changed from english into japanese lately.. did i go somewhere visiting some japanese language websites and inadvertently changed my preferencial settings somehow? my preference with firefox is still english as my first language for web browsing. so where do i go to change my request for which language i want all communications from mozilla to come to me using which language etc. is there even such settings? if not, how, where could this have happened? thank you.

I have recently installed Firefox but am unable to stop it deleting cookies and history on closure. In the 'privacy and security -> history' settings I selected 'Use custom settings', unticked 'private browsing' and 'clear history' and ticked 'remember browsing and search history'. In the 'clear history' section I unticked everything except 'cache'. Despite this cookies and search history have been deleted so I have re-sign onto web sites. I have also tried the 'remember history' setting instead of 'custom settings' but this does not work either. I had already added extensions and customised Firefox so I tried a 'refresh' which had no effect. Finally, I removed all traces of Firefox from my PC and did a clean install (no extensions or customisation). I used the default privacy/security settings but again got the same result. I am running Firefox v99 on Windows 10 Pro v21H2. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Using Firefox 99.0 (64 bit) on Windows 10 I get "connection not secure" even though the website certificate appears valid for https://primelab.io I have also tried this on my Macbook with the same result. If I use Chrome on my Macbook or Windows 10 the website says its secure. Is there a test that I can run to see whats causing https://primelab.io to come up as Connection Not Secure in Firefox?

I'm trying to make it so I can require a password to open firefox settings menu. I'm not talking about primary/master password settings for sites, I mean clicking settings from the upper right three bar requires a password.

I'm setting up a laptop for my daughter, and I don't want her to be able to fiddle with them, and all google will show is the master PW thing that has nothing to do with what I'm trying to do

Thanks in advance

For several months now I have had a problem with SOME of my bookmarked pages not loading, because "security certificate" problems, Now NONE of them will load. I was just online 20 minutes ago and the ones that have been working were working. Evidently firefox updated, without permission, and now none of the pages I was at 20 minutes ago will load. This is really starting to piss me off!!!!!!!!!! I have been using firefox since the stone age, as I have felt it to be the best browser out there. Now it looks like I'm gonna havta switch to internet exploder, or chrime, or one of the other crappy browsers out there.

Someone could be trying to impersonate the site and you should not continue.

Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust www.google.com because its certificate issuer is unknown, the certificate is self-signed, or the server is not sending the correct intermediate certificates. error code : SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER cant open any sites......after connecting to a hotspot of adguard installed mobile........

I am trying to allow Metamask access to crypto funds rather than the Ledget Nano S hardware wallet (my app doesn't see the asset on the via the hardware wallet). So I am initiating a transfer a get a problem with a pop up message (see screenshot).

I'd expect to have to confirm the transaction on the Ledger but don't seem to get that far.

Is this a a Firefox security issue - if so how do I overcome?

Hi Support help!

In the last few days or so it seems these notifications are showing up after I log off and the computer goes to sleep. When I wake up the notifications are showing in the right side of my Mac.

Now today they are even more aggressive and stacking up.

I've managed my Apple security settings and activated the natural firewall that comes with my Mac.

My Mac is up to date with latest operational systems.

My Firefox browser form Mozilla is up to date.

I've never experienced this problem previous and I've been using Mac since 2005. I upgrade every few years. and my latest Mac computer is about a year 1/2 old.

I have no other issues with my computer or my browser, Firefox.

I've been troubleshooting this through Mozilla support and have no add-ons or newly installed plugins.

I have no plug ins installed.

I've looked at my Firefox security settings and I did not have the pop-up blocker on but I'm not experiencing any issues with pop ups per se and I use Adobe creative cloud and have many other sites I use that have pop up window to enter data and perform functions so I'm not going to set it to cause me problems getting my work done since that is not even the issue here.

This concern is a notification that keeps showing up and I started by clearing my cache space On Mozilla Firefox privacy settings.

Now I'm asking to see if there is something else I can do to stop this notifications form happening. Its likely a simple answer I simply over looked?

When I go into my notifications on Apple Mac notifications are allowed and in many cases I need them but in this case as this recent events of odd spammy notifications on Firefox I don't need them unless they are real and I need to do something.

I did not click on any of them or try to open them.

These notifications describe needing to stop viruses, my computer is at risk, urgent with red caution symbols and other urgent notifications. My Mozilla Firefox account does not show anything like that and all my security updates are done for Firefox.

Help, please? Is it something obvious or am I needing to take certain actions?

I've cleared the Firefox cache in accessing info on the settings. And when I send this I will close and restart my computer.

Maybe nothing but a few days ago doing research I clicked a article that seemed fine in my search results but it took me to a completely different page and it asked to allow or not allow notifications. I clicked away form the page by closing out the tab.

They could be related but I haven't figure out how to stop it. Thanks in advance.

Arigato, Namaste.
