There is a specific website thespruceeats.com that is a recipe site. They post instructions step by step with pictures. There is an option to hide or show images that always used to work for me. Now it's not. I can't hide the images. I wouldn't think its the website seeing as they give those options. It's likely a privacy or security issue. What changes can I make to firefox to fix this?

Thanks.

Hi,

Does anyone know if Firefox can check the revocation status of a certificate using a local CRL (either installed in the NSS database or anywhere on the system) for a given CA instead of using an external OCSP server?

I read that the NSS database can contain CRL objects but I'm not sure that Firefox uses them.

Thanks in advance.

Hi to Mozilla support community,

I have found an interesting Firefox add-on offering Anti-spoofing protection by checking website certificate at the first visit, and then later.

Here is the page: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/anti-certificate-spoofing/

Having tried to contact the support to ask some questions, it occurs the support email address is not valid (the domain doesn't exist).

On the add-on store, there is only a report button for abuse, but it's not the case here.

Can anyone help to get in touch with the support for this add-on or what to do in such situation?

Many thanks,

Alex

Firefox is not my main browser, I also use Safari and Chrome, but today I opened Firefox and I saw how a "Yandex" extension was downloaded which added "yandex shoping" tag, 2 "Yandex" bookmarks and changed the way the "new tab" looked like. I immediately removed the extension and went straight to here (support page) and guess what? a Tab opened (opened while I was typing. I copied the link: moz-extension://97c991eb-9c43-4225-835e-9635f5fa1988/sovetnik/popup/popup.html) asking me to allow something to "Yandex" Keep in mind that the extension is already deleted! Am I hacked or something? Let Google track my data, Let Mozilla Track my data, but DEFINITLY not russian "Yandex". I am disgusted at what just happened, but regardless I want to know what exactly happened here and what can I now do to stop/prevent this. Thank you Morzilla for being such a safe browser.

Hi

I have an account with the email rstralberg@pm.me Now I want to change that to another email as rstralberg@pm.me will soon expire. The mail I want to change to is roland@stralbergdev.se but that's not possible as I can't add that one as secondary email. Reason is that its verified by another user which of course is me also. Apparently I have some old account that have verified that address. The problem is that I don't remember which one. Candidates are roland.stralberg@gmail.com, roland.stralberg@outlook.com, roland@grafitgubben.se. Is there anything I can do to solve this problem. The best thing would be to just delete all accounts that I have except the current rstralberg@pm.me or all of the so I could start a new one with the address roland@stralbergdev.se

Hello,

I recently unintentionally interacted with a scammer via a livechat from my firefox browser. Could they have hacked my computer via a live chat? They were not pushy like scammers usually are and I am concerned what they were wanting to get out of it.

Then if they could have - could they have accessed all the passwords I have saved in Firefox? I did not know about the primary password system so didn't have that enabled at the time (I wish that it was the default that was switched on).

Thanks for your help.

No Matter What I Do, Firefox will constantly have email login addresses available to forms.

I've tried resetting Privacy Settings, and also will hit "Shift + Delete" to remove the login email(s).

However, after I login 1 single time, the email address is once again available for someone to easily see.

This makes Firefox 100% UNSAFE to use when logging into websites such as Financial, Medical, and plain & simple... Everything.

Is there any way to stop this from happening?!?

Hi,

I am using MAC Big Sur 11.6. Up to date at the Firefox 91.6 version.

When logging into a site that requires a certificate, Firefox doesn't allow me to choose between a few that I have installed. It always chooses the same one. I can't find a solution or how to make Firefox ask me which certificate I want to use.

Could anybody help me please?

Thanks.

Good afternoon,

I have problems with Firefox browser saving my log-in information. I checked the article in "Get help" about privacy and security settings, I did add the necessary check marks in my browser options so it could save the log-in information. Could you suggest what else could I do to make the log-ins stay? Also, is it necessary to leave cookies after browsing so in the next session the log-ins could stay?

Thank you, have a nice day!

ZoogVPN support wrote: «modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox) don't support authentication with SOCKS5, they only support it with HTTP proxies». Is this really true? Mozilla Firefox does not prompt or save username and password when trying to connect to a private SOCKS v5, and the setting "Connection Settings" / "Configure Proxy Access to the Internet" / "Do not prompt for authentication if password is saved" cannot be used to use logins and passwords from SOCKS v5?

On some sites, after entering or just moving off the username field if it was already there, as soon as I move the cursor to the password field using the mouse the Firefox Password Drop down goes away (I just noticed it stays there if I use the Tab key to move to the password field) - it's almost like its playing a game with me. I've tried rebooting, restarting Firefox and so forth but the problem continues on those sites.

I am so weary of clicking on a story in Yahoo News and having the article blocked because (A) I'm utilizing an ad blocker to stop annoying ads for products I will never buy or (B) I need to subscribe to their feed to access the story. Most of the time I can go to YouTube and read it anyway if I really want to read the story or do a web search and find the story that way. But the page always normally loads correctly and within a few seconds it blocks access and gives you the annoying Subscribe to view the story or the You must first disable your adblocker to view this story. Anyway to defeat this from happening ? I just want to read the news and move on. I for one refuse to subscribe and then be deluged with advertising. I get enough junk mail and unwanted ads.. I'm not going to pay for it too.

I tried to enable DNS over HTTPS and have spent almost two hours now trying to figure out why it didn't work. After enabling logging I finally found the culprit: "TRRService::GetParentalControlEnabledInternal=1". Luckily I can disable this by setting the network.dns.skipTRR-when-parental-control-enabled to false.

I am an adult who manages my own personal computer. As far as I am aware, I have not enabled parental controls in Windows. The only thing I can think of that might affect this is "Let apps use advertising ID to make ads more interesting to you based on your app activity" in Settings -> Privacy -> General, which I have turned off.

To avoid digging through the code trying to figure out why Firefox thinks my computer/user has parental controls enabled, I figured I would ask here. I got this far before realizing I was in way over my head: line 183 of netwerk/dns/TRRService.cpp and some resources about the "Parental Controls Service".

(A note about DNS-over-HTTPS: TRR was consistently disabled until I changed network.dns.skipTRR-when-parental-control-enabled to false. TRR was reported as disabled by about:networking#dns and https://1.1.1.1/help)
