I made a big mistake! i signed up for the password recovery key, not fully understanding what it was. Now it keeps asking for it when ever i open Firefox, search, try and open a website. It has made this 73 yr old semi computer literate lady crazy and I want it gone!!! I am wasting to much precious time plucking around with it. IT IS LIKE A 60'S BAD ACID TRIP.

I set up a primary password, then closed out of everything to make sure it worked. When I reopened the browser, everything was still logged in. I was prompted to enter the primary password, but bypassed it by x-ing out.

How can I stop everything from staying logged in? I want the passwords saved, but not everyone on the computer to be able to use them without some sort of log-in (in the browser, due to how software is set up we all use the same user account on the computer).

Prior to today, I've entered my [correct] Firefox primary password several times and it has always been accepted. It worked consistently right up until now, so what gives? And why aren't we simply allowed to reset our primary passwords, since all our browser settings, data, and personal preferences depend on accessing it via the primary password?

In short either send me a reset link, or instructions on how to reset my primary password.

Situation - older desktop running 32-bit XP Home, pre Quantum Firefox, unknown Master/Primary Password. Need access to saved passwords. Have tried to find a solution but everything is not for older configurations. Suggestions on s workable solutions?

Mozilla is asking for a Master? Password. Well, I don't recall setting one up. But to change to a new password, I have to have the original password. Since I don't have that, what can I do to set up a new password?

I have used my primary password which i have written down for 2 days now and no problem. I go to use browser tonight 4/12 and it's not accepting my primary password which i have entered correctly several times. Can someone PLEASE HELP as soon as possible???

Over the past two months, Firefox has asked me to enter my master password more than once... I don't know if this is normal. I know I'm supposed to enter my password when I log in, but after 5 minutes it asks me again. I don't think this is normal.

Could you please comment on this.

Please Help - I'm doing something wrong. Firefox makes me log in to websites when I have saved the password and kept the cookies. Why? Obviously I don't understand firefox's password procedures.

In my settings my user name and password are saved for specific sites. (others I have set to Never remember) Password options are set as follows: Ask to save passwords - ticked Fill usernames and passwords automatically - ticked Suggest strong passwords - ticked Suggest Firefox Relay email masks to protect your email address - ticked Show alerts about passwords for breached websites - ticked Require device sign in to fill and manage passwords - not ticked Use a Primary Password - not ticked Allow Windows single sign-on for Microsoft, work, and school accounts - not ticked

Cookies and Site Data settings are: Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed - ticked In the “Exceptions”/ Exceptions for Cookies and site data option all the web sites which I want to keep and log in automatically are listed with “allow” In other words, I am trying to delete Cookies by default, but keep them for these specific websites, as an exception.

I therefore expect Firefox to automatically log me into those specific websites when I visit them So why does Firefox make me log in again every time I visit those specific websites?
