I've been using Firefox since Netscape ended and i always enjoyed it. Unfortunately the Firefox 72 is utterly hideous. It is the worst and most unstable browser i ever tested -- it's extremely slow, it doesn't even work with hardware acceleration, it's not compatible with most sites i access and it crashes a lot. Anyway I already reinstalled the version 71, which continues to work flawless and I don't plan to ever use auto updates again. The problem is that every single day Firefox tries to update to the horrible 72 version, and every day I have reject it manually.

I'm looking for a way to permanently block future Firefox updates, without asking me for it again. Any ideas?

I only experienced this issue when upgrading to 74.0, but it happens on websites multiple sites now. I have also verified via other browsers that this is a specific Firefox issue.

I have tried all of the recommended solutions that I have been able to identify: removed AV extensions, created a new profile, reset proxy settings, cleared cache & cookies, refreshed Firefox, restarted in safe mode to attempt to access the websites, turned off VPN, etc.

Looking for additional recommendations or solutions.

I found multiple pages recently that cause problems with the network monitor in firefox developer tools. I attached an image as an example. The three requests are selected always as a "block". They seem to be somehow related but I do not find any documentation what their relation is. My educated guess (also see https://superuser.com/questions/1537396/what-is-the-reason-firefox-combines-multiple-requests-in-the-network-monitor) that it is HTTP/2 related. However I still do not get how to handle debugging in such circumstances. I'd like to see the individual requests and answers for debugging purposes. I do not find a way to reach that goal. Is it a technical restriction?

For the last at least 25 releases, FF has gotten continually more hostile to someone like me who is visually impaired. I had read that FF was going to stop using the hamburger for menus because screen readers couldn't process it. That has not happened. Hamburgers, paper airplanes, icons instead of text, triple dots, and selector switches to turn settings on and off are all anti-accessibility. I don't like any of those features anyway. What is wrong with words like, "Menu," "Submit," or "Send"? This has been getting worse and worse over time. I don't know if the developers for FF are simply oblivious to the problems that they are causing or if they know but don't care. Gmail is worse but it seems like FF is following Google. What a horrible thing to do for accessibility, among other things. At least, though, Gmail on my phone can use the pinch technique to make the text larger. Firefox on my Android phone will not allow that. I cannot enlarge text in any window in the native FF phone app. This anti-accessibility is to pervasive it seems deliberate. Why is this being done????

I downloaded the recommended update by Firefox for our browser. Apparently, I inadvertently did not carry the passwords over in the application or something. I am so upset with myself because I no longer have any passwords. I chose Firefox many years ago for the convenience of having our many passwords securely and readily available. Now I have nothing! All our financial and medical accounts have passwords and I can no longer get them. PLEASE HELP

I still am unable to get my Firefox profile password. I don't remember and I cant sign on. I am using Firefox as my search engine but I cannot update nor organize my bookmarks because I don't have my password for the Firefox account. I'm almost ready to give Firefox the boot!!! PLEASE HELP

When I key www.<website>.com in location bar and hit enter, Firefox uses http://www.<website>.com, not httpS://www.<website>.com, to find the website. Most of the time the http:// version does not resolve to a website. It just hunts and hunts and hunts. This same thing happens many times when I click on a link in gmail which I open in Firefox.

Since we are all supposed to be using httpS:// these days, why doesn't Firefox default to https://?

Is there some setting that I'm missing?

Thanks, Caitlin

Have tried a ton of add-ins to be able to save a web page with searchable text as a searchable PDF, complete with the images displayed on the page, and the links shown. So far I have not found a single add-in that creates searchable text from all the (searchable) text that is displayed on the web page, and all the images, and all the links. Some give a pdf output that includes all the text but not all of it is selectable or searchable. Some do give searchable text but do not display the images. I have even tried the option of using several different print to pdf virtual drivers, and all of them behave similarly, with one issue or the other.

This is a basic requirement, and it needs to work. So far, the only thing that works is a chrome=based brpwser using the native save to pdf function. (The pdf print drivers do not work with the chrome browser either - they produce the same problems as using Firefox.) I am flagging this so some kind person on the forum can step up to the mark - for finding or creating something that works. (FF latest). The solution needs to work without any third party servers - just the good ol' browser !

Thanks
