I bought a new laptop and installed firefox on it. I tried accessing the gmail.com account but it keeps showing me this page https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050?hl=en. I have tried severally but can't access my gmail account.

For quite some time now I've had keyword.enabled set to false in my about:config because I don't like having the address bar try to autocomplete or turn things into search, when I do a ctrl-l.

I do like that I am still able to use ctrl-k to do a search when I need to. This would place a ? at the start of the field and whatever I type gets sent to search.

In a recent upgrade, ctrl-k still places the ? at the start of the address bar but doesn't send things to search. Instead, it now behaves as if I did a ctrl-l and typed in a bad URL.

I'm on Firefox 80 (on Fedora 32) but I can't be exactly sure which upgrade brought this change in behavior.

Is there a way to get the old behavior back? ctrl-l to enter a URL, ctrl-k to search.

My laptop location in Firefox is using my former home location. But when I do the same Weather Google Search or Google Map website in Chrome, the location is my current location in North Carolina. This true whether I'm logged into my Google account or not Signed in to my Google account.

In Firefox I've checked Tools/Options/Privacy & Security/Permissions/Location/Settings. It lists 3 sites that have asked for access to my Locations: google, home depot and BedBathBeyond. Yet when I use Google to search "weather", it gives me Wayne NJ. This section will not let me add Google Maps.

In Security I changed Block Pop-ups to continue to have a checkmark but added google.com and maps.google.com as exceptions and restarted Firefox. Google Maps still shows Wayne NJ and weather sometimes shows North Carolina but mostly shows Wayne NJ

Are there any other settings in Firefox I need to update? Or are there settings in Windows I need to update.? I'm using Windows 10 and Firefox 85.0

excuse me ... i noticed that firefox on my windows 10 laptop Is drains battery power Significantly when i opened the tasks bar i noticed that one of the firefox features as shown in the picture is running in the background and the effect is so great that when this feature is turned off, the battery can operate the laptop for about an additional hour i ended the task and the laptop worked perfectly ... but i cant know what is that feature which drains battery power note that there are no extensions onmy Firefox browser so please help me to solve this problem

Recently when my computer shuts down (my battery is dying so it happens often) and the previous session are restored, they are not from my previous session per se, they are from an older session. What can I do for this to stop happening?

Why am I suddenly now not allowed to access Interac using Firefox? I NEED to collect my payments so I can pay all my other bills (like rent) as I have been for years. Firefox, there should not be any problem connecting to Interac.

Despite of countless plugins and efforts, My website Welding Zilla is still loading dead slow on firefox. I dont know whats wrong with it , while it is super fast with the other browsers. What can be the issue?

What files do I need to restore from my nightly backup to bring back the multiple tabs I have lost in a shut down? The current restore previous session only has half of what I lost. I tried copying the profiles folder from a back up but it still only had three of the six windows I lost. Suggestions please!

I am using firefox for a long time in a pleasant manner for all web activty.

Recently I have updated to V87.0 and ever since that moment I cannot select OBS virtual camera anymore in the camera drop down choice menu if I wish to mix this virtual cam into a video conference. It simply does not show the obs camera and the obs virtual camera in the drop down list anymore.

In MS teams I can select OBS virtual camera and when using Edge for example it does work fine just as it previously did in FF as well.

I hope someone can relate and solve this
