Multiple copies of Firefox opening when I open it today.

Yesterday afternoon I noticed when I opened my Firefox browser that although it would open, when I clicked on any tab, it was frozen. I had to close it using Task Manager and then reopened it. I saw an update message flash at this time and attributed my problem to that. However I had one more instance of opening a new session later in the day and the browser again being frozen. I had to once more use Task Manager to shut it down and then to successfully reopen Firefox and use the browser.

I shut it down last night. This morning when I opened it, it was again frozen, but I could see in Task Manager that there were multiple copies of Firefox that had opened on my computer this time despite the fact that I had only clicked once on my Firefox browser icon. When I shut it down with Task Manager and reopened Firefox, again I could see multiple copied of Firefox had opened.

I checked my Malware Bytes security software and it had run clean this morning at 2:00 AM as scheduled.

I opened the Chrome browser to see if I would have the same problem with it. Only one instance of Chrome opened. Would appreciate your comments. Thanks!

Hi, I'll try to keep this as short as possible. I cannot access my mail using the Firefox browser. I have tried the TalkTalk Mail website without success as it has "timed out." I can access my TalkTalk account but when I click the "Mail" button, after about 30 seconds I get a message saying that it has also "timed out." I also use Thunderbird and although I can receive Emails, I cannot send them. After sending, I receive a message that a password is required and when I enter it another message comes in stating that that they "could not authenticate to outgoing server, check password" etc which I have done. I can send and receive Emails on my iphone and Fire tablet. I can access my mail on the two aforementioned sites using the Windows Edge browser. I contacted TalkTalk and after two hours it was decided that the Firefox browser was at fault. I have used Firefox and Thunderbird for too many years to remember and it has always served me well. I would be extremely grateful if there is someone who may have had the same problem and would be able to assist. Kind regards, John

The VA is updating their website which is a joke. When I try to login to their website it puts me into a loop which keeps asking me to verify my ID. Frustrated, I changed back to Google and it worked fine. I don't know how to fix this or explain the problem anymore, but I really like FF but things like this makes me hesitant to continue to use it.

I'm using a new laptop so everything is a fresh install. A few of the newsletters I've signed up for are now using GetResponse for their marketing. Any link I click on in these emails leads me to a "The page you're looking for doesn't exist" error 404. No matter what I try (disabling all extensions & setting Firefox's config setting 'extensions.blocklist.enabled' to false). Both of the companies that send the newsletters as well as GetResponse don't really seem to care and just blame Firefox. Can anyone help me fix this... if in fact it's something on my laptop that's creating the issue? I only use Firefox browser... nothing else and would hate to starting using some unsafe browser just to access these links. Thanks.

I want to know what caused the Firefox icon to disappear from my dock and be replaced by the generic icon. Firefox seems to continue to work well. I don't want to re-install it when it seems to work. However, I want to know what caused this to happen and if there is an easy way to restore it to the unique icon. I've read about the various remedies but don't want to take the time for a re-install when everything seems to be working.

Please just tell me the cause and if there is an easy solution.

Dear Firefox Support Team,

I intimate your team to improve the Autofill feature in Firefox because it doesn't have international countries' names to add to the Autofill service which essentially instead of typing over and over on the page or as per necessity.

Please check and reply at the earliest convenience.

I look forward to seeing from you very soon.

When Firefox is full screen, the size is fine. Eventually, the size gets smaller: the bezels on the right and left become bigger. The only way to fix is to restore the window to original size, then maximize again.
